Anyone due to ovulate around Valentine's Day?

My ovulation day is predicted the 14th, but not sign of EWCM just yet so may be a few days later.

Anyone want some company this cycle?

I tested this morning at 8/9 dpo coz im addicted, there's a faint line...the last two have been stark white...im very cautious it's early so I'm not getting excited yet 🙈 no more tests so I'm waiting it out a few days now. Only did one this morning thinking get rid of the last test and bam I could see something 🙈

piechipsgravy · 24/02/2024 10:40

@Emilyx00 we did it on CD 12, 13 and 16- no idea if that's enough! Think we have said next month we will try and do every other day.

Shortcake06 · 24/02/2024 10:39

@piechipsgravy nothing too exciting! Birthday parties, trips out with my little one, family stuff! Hope it keeps my mind off things. Does anyone else find this time when period is nearing SO stressful?

@Littleladybugs its not too low, not out until period arrives!

@Emilyx00 i track using the ok sticks as I never ovulate when the app predicts. And mid cycle have sex daily but especially when the sticks go positive. Twice a day if possible. My husband has no complaints about it 😂

Emilyx00 · 24/02/2024 10:02

@Ginny2018 Haha I love that! Definitely helps that you work similar shifts and don’t have children yet.

My DP has been avoiding me lol, poor thing. Do you have an app that tells you when you are due to ovulate or are you using any tests or anything? I’ve never really tracked or anything but this month I’ve used Ovulation strips. DTD a few days before peak, but didn’t have a chance to do it again until I was back in my ‘low’ phase so I really hope just one of those little fellas got in there.

Littleladybugs · 24/02/2024 10:01

dpo not pm !

Littleladybugs · 24/02/2024 10:01

Still bfn at 11pm for me so I’ll probably be onto cycle 29 😭

Ginny2018 · 24/02/2024 09:34

Thanks guys, I really do hope I'm still in! Won't be over till AF arrives! My cycles have been longer the last 3 months as well so we're looking at anywhere between Wednesday and next Sunday. I do feel like my boobs are a bit sore but again, it's so confusing that possible symptomes are so similar to PMS.

@Emilyx00 Our strategy ttc has been to dtd as often as possible, which has been every day starting 7 days before ovulation until 3 days after. My bf did complain a little that I'm usually not so 'willing' so we had a little chat about intentions 🤣 I know not everybody has this opportunity but we work the same hours and don't have children yet so we can find the time more easily. But I've also heard that if you do it every day the quality of the sperm may decrease? Didn't find any real info to back that up though.. I think if I'm not pregnant now we'll do the same tactic again next round.

Emilyx00 · 24/02/2024 09:27

@Ginny2018 with my eldest, I wasn’t TTC but my period was late so I took a test. Negative. Started spotting and thought my period was going to come. A week later I had bad cramps but the ‘bleeding’ had stopped, done another test and two dark lines. So you’re definitely still in with a chance, but I do know hard it is to be positive when you keep getting negative tests.

@piechipsgravy omg so did I ! You know TTC is hard when you’re even dreaming about it.

Can I ask what method everyone is using to TTC? I know most people will be having sex, but is it daily? Every other day? Only during the week tests turn ‘high/peak’? I haven’t managed to do it as much as I would have liked this month so I really do hope I’m still in with a chance.

piechipsgravy · 24/02/2024 09:20

@Shortcake06 fingers crossed for you that AF doesn't show up 🤞🏻

What do you have planned for your weekend distractions? Anything fun?

Shortcake06 · 24/02/2024 09:13

@overthinkersanonnymus it’s still super super early at 7dpo!! Fingers crossed for you 🤞

@Emilyx00 i know what you mean about seeing a second line. I’ve had sooo many negative tests. I was actually a wee bit satisfied the first time I got a positive covid lateral flow 🥹

@Ginny2018 you are still super early! And a lot of tests aren’t very sensitive. Perfectly feasible that you are still to get your positive!!

I haven’t tested. I woke up half asleep and went for a pee and forgot about them. To be honest I feel like I’m about to get my period. Gutting - that’s super early and worrying. When I had my miscarriage I was 100% sure I’d be pregnant again before my due date passes and it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen now which is so crap. If by some miracle my period doesn’t arrive I’ll use my early test on Monday. Got a busy weekend ahead to keep my wind off things 😔 xx

piechipsgravy · 24/02/2024 07:56

Morning all!
I had a positive pregnancy test dream last night but I also had one last month so I don't think I've suddenly developed psychic powers.
Had a real wave of nausea yesterday afternoon that probably didn't mean anything but I got a bit excited about. As much as I've tried to stay calm and unbothered this month, my hopes are slowly building... it doesn't help that my DH has asked me to be a bit less pessimistic as we are so early in our journey, but I almost don't want to let myself feel any hope or anticipation because the inevitable disappointment will be worse.
Anyway- AF is due at some point next week (app is saying Tues but my cycles have been longer last 2 months) so going to try and stay strong in not testing until Friday. At least that way when I see a BFN I can accept it. Last month I started early and just kept telling myself 'it's too soon!'... even AFTER my period had ended 🫠

Ginny2018 · 24/02/2024 06:08

@Shortcake06 did you fell for their trick and use them?

@overthinkersanonnymus 🤣🤣🤣 it's still early!!

@Emilyx00 welcome! I do that too 🤭 I was so happy when I got the faintest line on my first ovulation test a full WEEK before my peak🤣

Anyways I tested negative again this morning (11dpo). I'm dissapointed but stil holding out hope. I might be delusional but I really do think there's a good chance i can be pregnant 😅

I did decide that if I'm not, I'm not going to be testing so early on next time because the dissapointment really is real eventhough the results arent final.

Can I join ladies? Only peaked last Sunday, the 18th, and already trying not to test. The app is telling me I’m only 4dpo. Am I the only one who likes to pretend the ovulation tests are pregnancy tests when I take them? Like manifesting those pink lines into reality. Gosh, I hope I haven’t made myself sound like a weirdo.

Welcome @Emilyx00

There's a few weirdos on this thread, so you're in good company 😉😂 and to answer your question. Yes!!

I like to use ovulation tests as a practice run for a bfp. I even cover up the blue stick but and try to imagine it being pink 🤣

How we doing girls?

@Shortcake06 it's wild how they do that!

7dpo and obviously I tested. No symptoms over hear except a bit more lotion CM than I'm used to. I'm usually dry as a witches tit on the run up to af.

@Ginny2018 still well too early. I also say this on day one of my period, because, well you know, PeOpLe StILl HaVe BlEeDiNg WhEn PrEgNaNt 😂😂😂

After everything I said some early pregnancy tests fell in my basket at the shops today 😳
@Ginny2018 it’s still really early could still be your month 😃

Ginny2018 · 23/02/2024 07:54

Morning ladies :)

Another stark white negative for me this morning (9/10 DPO). I have felt some light twinges in my lower abdomen all day yesterday, not something disturbing but noticable and I don't recognize it from before. I'm hopeful it could still be implantation? No bleeding though.

Other symptoms are an insatiable hunger and I feel quite tired (not sure if either of those 2 are new though haha). AF is due anywhere between 28.02 - 04.03 as my cycles haven't been that regulare after getting rid of mi IUD. Not giving up hope and I know it's still early!

Anybody else giving in to the testing urge?

Shortcake06 · 22/02/2024 20:54

@Rosyposy26 congratulations and sending lots of positive vibes 🤩 looking forward to seeing your lovely positive tests!

@Ginny2018 i totally agree with what you say about what they teach you in high school. Honestly when I came off my pill I thought I’d immediately get pregnant and was pretty miffed when that did not turn out to be the case 😅

I am Now 5 or 6 dpo. Normally I have really sore boobs at this point in my cycle but nothing. Some period type cramps. Super tired but I have been working a lot. A strangely high amount of cm.

probably nothing, not getting my hopes up!!!!

@Ginny2018 Did you notice if you ovulated from your right side? this month I got pains on my left side on day 14/15 of the cycle when my ovulation was predicted. and then since the 19th Feb have had constant aches in my left hip since then now going into my bum and my back, i didn't have these pains last month so deff new for me.

Don't want to alarm you but last month i turned into a she Hulk was getting very angry and then also having bouts of crying but didn't get my BFP so not sure if hormones or stress of not knowing whats going on with our bodies

Im similar Dpo to you as well due 28th Feb but could be anytime till 4th march as have 28 to 32 day cycles

MY partner has noticed today though how drained and tired i am he said he can see it in my face

@SnKcampbell I didn't notice any specific pains during ovulation. I honestly think it's just my back acting up, I have a physical job atm and my bed is awful..

Mood wise I think there's a good chance that it's just stress of everything and wanting something so bad while not knowing if and when it will happen. It's only my first cycle trying so I don't know what's normal and what's not.

It's funny that we're told as teenagers that it only takes 1 moment of even half unprotected sex to get pregnant, I've grown up with a 'fear' of that, especially in high school. And look at us now peeing on sticks like mad woman and being told that it's 100% normal if we don't succeed within the first 3-6 cycles.

I never knew this side of having kids! Anyway rooting for each and everyone of you and really hoping to see some bfps soon. I'll probably test again tomorrow morning.

Littleladybugs · 22/02/2024 17:39

Rosyposy26 · 22/02/2024 15:05

It was and I had 4 at home and each one until this morning was nothing. This morning however came up straight away but was faint but could see a blue line. I’ve had Evaps before.

Will pick up another brand tomorrow.

I’m still very cautious though and will get a digital one.

Hopefully they have improved them now and it’s your bfp, I used them a few times around a year ago and they got me every time with the evaps so now I just stick to pink dye tests . Fingers crossed for you x

@Rosyposy26 completely understand the nerves and worry about it not working out. I've also had a miscarriage and know when I finally get a positive test again, I will be full of mixed feelings! Try and stay positive and busy x

I will do. It’s the every time you go to toilet hoping it’s all clear. Good luck also

Woo! Tentative congrats @Rosyposy26!

I'm 6DPO...no symptoms of anything but also aware it's very early days. Holding back on testing by keeping myself busy...I've done far too many early and negative tests!!

Thank you. I know it’s very early days I think I felt implantation cramps at the start of the week and my other half noticed change in my boobs. Typical 😆

Im still very nervous and expecting it not to work out. Trying not to test everyday I have a box of 20 when I was testing for a negative after mc.

Jumping in to wait with you.
i ordered pregnancy tests from eBay ans an open envelope arrived today - no tests. So I’ll go back out later. Definitely feeling as emotional as I did whilst pregnant with ds but I might have told myself that last month 😂
