Thought I’d make a new thread for those of us Ttc in March 2024. I know some of us will cross over from end of Feb to March! Wishing everyone all the luck ✨❤️

The madness has started and I've tested already at 6/7DPO (not certain of my exact timings). Obviously it was BFN, silly me. I'll now hold off until 10dpo and use a FRER. First time round I got a small implant bleed and a massive headache so I'll be on the lookout for that.

emmatcc1 · 29/02/2024 18:31

My bbt has gone up today to my normal post ov temps. I still have the hot feeling in my mouth that I had with pregnancy and I had some pulling pains on the right side.

Dogscanlookup · 29/02/2024 17:37

@Overthinkeroverthirty I am in the UK, I bought Proov - confirm! I’m unsure I can use them this month though as I think I needed to get my baseline at the beginning of the month?
@LK2610 @TTC1990 good to know on the exercise front! Walking is probably the most realistic for me without panicking I’m doing damage even though it sounds like it would be fine!
@Bluemilan if you can DTD tomorrow night that’ll be the best day so you’re definitely not out yet ☺️ my due date would have been beginning of this month, I was also desperate to be pregnant before facing that date. In all honestly the lead up was worse - when it didn’t happen, I almost felt relieved from a deadline I’d given myself. I hope this helps x

Bluemilan · 29/02/2024 16:56

Hi all... just catching up. I'm CD12 today, due to ov on Saturday. The plan was to follow the SMEP but DP has been unwell so only managed to dtd yesterday and we're both working opposite shifts now so probably won't dtd until tomorrow night if one of us doesn't fall asleep first Hmm. Worried we're probably out before LP has even started. I'm also desperate to be pregnant before what would have been my due date in June otherwise I know I'll be a mess.

On the exercising front I'm carrying on with running/pilates as usual just not pushing myself too hard on anything

chutney1 · 29/02/2024 15:51

both times I've been pregnant I've kept up my running/weights normally, and the docs have always said it's fine but i have miscarried twice... but it could just be a coincidence. i was running about 6-10km 5-6 times a week.

I've been taking it a little bit easier in my TWWs just in case and if i get pregnant again I'll do more walking and yoga i think.

i heard anything that helps you destress is good tho!

YaWeeFurryBastard · 29/02/2024 15:41

Thanks for the exercise tips. I’m a bit of a stop started unfortunately so not that fit! Perhaps I’ll wait another week and go from there. If I’m not pregnant this month then I’ll just crack on.

TTC1990 · 29/02/2024 15:14

LK2610 · 29/02/2024 13:05

Thanks @TTC1990 did you adjust the pace/intensity of your runs at all?

No I just carried on as normal as that was what my body was used to 😊 x

emmatcc1 · 29/02/2024 13:25

As far as I know you can carry on any exercise if you did it before pregnancy, but starting something new might be a too much. You can keep healthy with eating right and regular walks.

Overthinkeroverthirty · 29/02/2024 13:09

@Dogscanlookup are you in the UK? Just wondering which PGD tests you bought? I’ve been having a look but nothing is jumping out. Thanks ☺️

LK2610 · 29/02/2024 13:05

Thanks @TTC1990 did you adjust the pace/intensity of your runs at all?

TTC1990 · 29/02/2024 13:03

Hey,

Just thought that I’d share regarding my exercise experience… I fell pregnant (with my first) cycle 2 and ran regularly. It didn’t affect anything my end and I had a really healthy positive pregnancy. I did however stop running after 12 weeks and just did power walks 😊. Baby was born healthy.

I’m TTC no.2 (cycle 4) and I’m continuing to run as normal xx

emmatcc1 · 29/02/2024 12:07

@WonderingAboutBabies If I had any spotting before full on bleeding I counted cd1 from first day of red blood and it lined up with my usual time of ovulation.

WonderingAboutBabies · 29/02/2024 11:50

Hi all, just coming to the end of my AF. I just wondered when I should count my CD1 from? I had 2 days of spotting/browning before any 'fresh' blood came out (sorry TMI). Would my CD1 be the first day of spotting/browning, or the day of fresh blood?

If I am basing it off the fresh blood, then I'm currently on CD4, if its the browning/spotting, then CD6...

LK2610 · 29/02/2024 10:24

Yeah it’s tricky knowing what to do isn’t it @Dogscanlookup - I think you can do a fair bit of good just eating slightly better each day and doing walks. My friend got in great shape during lockdown by walking and eating healthy.

Dogscanlookup · 29/02/2024 09:57

Also I bought the PGD tests and they’re arriving today! Will start using them Monday at 7dpo. Excited to see if my progesterone levels are right or if this explains spotting.

Dogscanlookup · 29/02/2024 09:55

@LK2610 I think I read it’s if you don’t usually do too much exercise then suddenly you start.
this is my issue atm, I want to get healthy but there’s no motivation as every month I don’t want to ruin chances of implantation!

LK2610 · 29/02/2024 07:41

I’ve wondered this too @YaWeeFurryBastard - I do triathlons and my training weeks are up to 15 hours some times. I’m wondering whether to dial it down. I’m trying not to do anything too intense but then it could take a year who knows so do we just put everything on hold? My friends are already asking why I’ve not entered any events this year and I don’t really want to tell anyone we’re trying for a baby yet.

I did briefly chat to a PT and they said you don’t need to reduce anything so long as you’re not overtraining (which is hard to tell sometimes) or in a super big calorie deficit 🤷‍♀️

pleurotus · 29/02/2024 07:03

@YaWeeFurryBastard I think a nice and easy run is totally fine (if you feel like it that is) I think what they mean is maybe if you were marathon training and running long and fast consistently around ovulation it could inhibit it. However unless you're getting missed periods that's probably not a worry anyway

That's how I understand it

YaWeeFurryBastard · 29/02/2024 06:17

3dpo and I’ve woken up feeling hungover even though I haven’t drunk. I don’t think it’s a symptom probably just coming down with something or because I’ve been eating crap!

Do you think it’s “safe” to go for a run today? I read it can affect TTC so I’ve been avoiding but my body just feels so sluggish!
