1dpo - Anyone want to join during the two week wait?

Hi all, currently 1dpo. Hoping for a lucky month. I lost my twin boys a few months ago at 29 weeks due to TTTS. Two days before this I had a beautiful scan and two perfect babies - only 6 weeks away from c-section. And two days after my scan - our world fell apart. I had no movement and all of a sudden, I was told one of my babies had no heartbeat and then four days later, we had to remove life support from his twin brother as he was so ill. My sons were beautiful, visually perfect babies who were so unlucky. I miss them terribly.

So Here I am 1dpo and hoping for the best. Would love the support from any other hopeful ladies and in turn I'll support ye too. Much luck to us all 😀

@Ella31 this is supposed to be positive and on my on 3rd week of seed cycling. Won't do you any harm to try it and all natural too. nourishedbynutrition.com/seed-cycling-for-hormone-balance/ X

BabyBorn · 25/02/2024 05:32

@Beanie14 that's a shame but I totally get it. Some months I have to really gear myself up to fit DTD in 😂😂🫣 makes me wonder how I will have time for another little one too 🤭 Suppose our routines change and we adapt and get on with it!

@Ella31 don't panic, it's completely normal to have a cycle that is a bit all over the place for a while after what you have been through. I'm not sure if using something to regulate your cycle would help or not in this instance?! I drink raspberry leaf tea 3 times a day and found it keeps me regular and also lengthened my shortish LP, worth a shot.

Ella31 · 24/02/2024 20:17

Ladies don't know why I'm worrying now, but obviously waiting for my ovulation. My cycle was around 30 days prior to my late boys birth. It's now 36 according to my second period since the c section. I'm kind of worrying now that's bad or something. Lh is still lowish and the clearblue advanced are driving me mad. Had a smiley face on one today even though my easy at home and fermomter ones are still negative.

I've had a tiny bit of cm but last month I didn't ovulate till cycle day 25 and I'm only on 16 today.

@Ella31 let us know when you get your peak! Must be any day now!! X

It's sooooooo slow @BabyBorn , I know I'm going to wake up in like 5 days time and it'll be blazing positive so just doing dtd every second day from here on to hopefully catch it.

We never ended up DTD yesterday due to just life and being busy 😑 so think I’m out this month. LH surge Thursday so probably ovulated Thursday night or Friday and DTD Sunday night. So slim chance here :(
I don’t feel when I ovulate either like zero symptoms. I just get EWCM for one day that’s all I had this Thursday so coincides with my LH surge.
It’s so nice sharing with you girls x

Wait and see @Beanie14 but you know your cycle well and that's good. Would you consider the dtd every other day from cycle day 8 next month. Its a trek though

@lifeisawillow3 that sounds really positive. So many blended families these days and couples starting to have families later in life for whatever reasons. Exciting times for you! Hope all of us have some luck this cycle! Xx

Absolutely second this.

@Ella31 it was 1.24 last night and 1.17 today. The egg is trying to get out now I can feel the pain but have taken painkillers. Shouldn't last more than 4 hours. You are lucky you don't feel it to some extent as the pain can be awful some months. Doubled up at 4am in bed with my bum in the air until the painkillers kick in 🥴😆 xx

You poor thing, I wish I could rely on more than ovulation tests though. So much effects the tests though, water intake, peeing, ect

@Ella31 do you think it's normal for men to father children mid 40's? He stresses about it!

I absolutely do. My own situation isn't far from yours in that I started trying last year. Unfortunately had very serious losses in the last year and half. I'm 33, my dh is 39, almost 40. Trust me whatever age your dh means much less than being an amazing dad and all going well, he will be.

lifeisawillow3 · 23/02/2024 16:05

@BabyBorn awww I love this! Thanks for replying! Dh has 2 kids from a previous marriage and is a fab hands on dad too. He also gets told he looks 30 people are shocked when he says he's 40!! He also doesn't drink or smoke and is a normal weight. Thank you :)

BabyBorn · 23/02/2024 16:00

@lifeisawillow3 he's definitely not too old!! 😆😆 my husband is 58 and he worries too. More that he might not see all of the girls get married but you can lose either of your parents at any age. He's healthy, doesn't drink or smoke, has a great diet and looks at least 15 years younger than he is. He's hands on with the kids and he's a great father and that's all that matters x

@Ella31 having a positive test is so exciting but it soon fills me with so much dread. DH is the same, he can't even be excited anymore & it's heartbreaking. He is 41 this year and worried time is running out for him (I'm 28)

Men are in a very different position than women. 41 is fine. You being 28 is a great age. I'm 33 and many women my age are only starting now for various reasons.

Same. I keep thinking back to day I had my positive digital with my boys. That time will come again.

That's brilliant @Ella31 hopefully you will get your peak in the next few days! I tested at 10.30am this morning and mine still shows a surge 😝

Have BD'ed last night and Tuesday night. I think I will feel the egg releasing later and I can feel it niggle and I feel tender and swollen when I pee x

Fab, what a peak for you? I must be the only person who doesn't feel ovulation when it happens. I wish I did or else I'm not recognising it.

I was pregnant and had an etopic in September after the surgery to remove my baby and my left tube I wasn’t ovulating. I guess the trauma of everything just threw things off. Also, I got my peak January 31st and got my first faint positive February 10th. Now I’m just being followed in order to ensure I am not having another etopic. My hcg levels went from 9 to 87 in three days but since then haven’t been necessarily doubling as they should. I am just hoping for a healthy viable pregnancy in the right spot.

I've every finger and toe crossed for you. All you can do now is wait and see. I hope you have the support there as I know you must be nervous. Keep us updated.

@Ella31 I'm so sorry for your loss. It's just awful 😢 last October I fell pregnant 6 weeks after my loss and it ended in a blighted ovum. It's just never ending 😢

You have had a terrible time @lifeisawillow3 but here you are still going. This thread is very supportive and talk away. It will happen for you, its not "if" but "when"
