8dpo to test or not to test?

I'm 8dpo tomorrow and have been going back and forth about whether to test or not?

What does everyone recommend? I want to follow the least stressful path possible!

Thanks lovely not so sure if I’ve just had implantation bleeding. Annoying myself symptoms spotting 😅

LaurenLoveday · 01/02/2024 18:42

Thanks for you reply 😊 no I’ve never spotted before. I never noticed this either in previous pregancies. There isn’t any more sign of it either x

Sara1988 · 01/02/2024 18:40

Could be implantation? I'm not sure. Is spotting usual for you?

@LaurenLoveday hey lovely ! Don’t rely on the symptoms , they means nothing , progesterone is second half of your cycle after ovulation causes exactly the same symptoms as early pregnancy so there is no way to tell if it’s pregnancy or not , I just found out a week ago and I have zero symptoms , not even one and I still don’t at 5 weeks . Xx

Sara1988 · 31/01/2024 09:43

I've been up and down with symptoms. I think cause we're waiting we feature spot. I really don't think there's any telling.

I’m 7dpo or so I think period is due the 7th feb. Had strong symptoms 2 days ago - sore breasts, fatigue and now it’s gone. Any ideas? Disheartening xx

LaurenLoveday · 31/01/2024 09:31

@Sara1988 yes looks so much darker ✨✨🤞🏼 xx

babyonwayx · 30/01/2024 17:45

Definitely progression 🥰

Sara1988 · 30/01/2024 17:04

Thank you all! Tested again this evening. Do you think this looks any darker?

babyonwayx · 29/01/2024 21:09

I can also see that!!

My evening tests were always darker than my morning until AF didn't show!

Sara1988 · 29/01/2024 21:08

9dpo! Did a clear blue this morning and could barely see a thing. This was this afternoon. And I hadn't held for four hours.

@Babyenroute fingers crossed for your natural miracle!
I went to an ivf clinic and they said with my AMH at only 4.8 it’s hardly worth it for me. But I am tempted to try anyway and hope for a miracle!

Babyenroute · 29/01/2024 07:03

@AnnieStar12 we did IVF in the end and luckily it worked first round.

Hope you get your bfp soon! We have just started TTC number two and hoping for a natural miracle 😃

AnnieStar12 · 28/01/2024 22:06

@Babyenroute I’m on cycle 11 and starting to loose hope, so positive to read you took 24 cycles, can I ask how you got there in the end? Did you do ivf? Or just keep trying?

everyone is different, but after 11 months of TTC, I find that if I don’t start testing early I just spend all my time thinking about whether or not I should test.

So I just told myself many months back that I’ll do a test each morning from around 8DPO and then I don’t need to go round and round in my head if/when to test.

At the end of the day it doesn’t really matter, you’ll know one way or the other within a week or so. So do whatever helps to make the TWW more manageable for you.

I do exactly this. I test and can then get on with my day, knowing I will also allow myself to test the next morning. They are so cheap no point not giving into the urge. I had 24 cycles trying for DS 😅

@Sara1988 i would personally not test , you’ll be dissapointed :( i tested stupidly at 8-9 got stark negatives ! And tested again at 10dpo and got a squiter . I was so upset for nothing for 2 days thinking I was out ! Xx good luck

I tested today and have been fine about getting a bnp. I think because I've heard from so many people like yourself, I'm OK. Weirdly, as each day has gone by it's gotten easier. I had in my head that if we don't conceive first time round there's something wrong...but people have been so reassuring here and I've excepted it could take time.

So my clear blues arrived today and I now realise '6 days before your missed period' is actually 5 days before your period is due... so 9dpo! Even then it says 78% accurate
