Not pregnant after chemical

Hey guys, I believe I had a chemical pregnancy in December. I had several faint positive tests that got more faint over several days. I read so many success stories of people conceiving the month after a chemical so was hoping I would. I am now on day 2 of a new cycle so did not conceive this month. I am feeling really down about it and worried this might never happen for me. Did anyone conceive soon after a chemical but not the month after?

I'm not so sure I'm not very confident to be honest...kind of don't want to go for tests incase they find something but then appreciate I need to to find something and potentially help ...visious circle 😪

I had a chemical sept 2020 and like you, expected be pregnant October 2020... didn't happen until April 2021!

@Bex4567 🤞 there are no issues found for you, it’s likely everything will be fine and it’s just taking a while longer than expected. I just want to get it over with soon so I can get the results and deal with it eh.

Oh god, sorry to hear that you went through all that. I cannot imagine suffering a loss like that at 29 weeks

I conceived twins after my chemical but didn't have a period in between. Took about 9 weeks for ovulation to come back. I subsequently lost my twins at 29 weeks but that's a different story and nothing to do with the chemical. So don't stress, it just takes the body time to recover. I don't think having the chemical had anything to do with me conceiving fast again. It just happened. It will for you too

Thank-you op yeah I have the doctors next month too to start tests so worried they will find something they can't fix 😪...I have a 17 year old and 13 year so quite a gap...keep me posted to op on how u get on ....

Millie1501 · 20/01/2024 14:08

Oh no, sorry to hear that. That sounds so frustrating but yeah fingers crossed you get you bfp soon. What stage of you current cycle are you now?

I had a chemical on cycle 2 which was April 2023 and still TTC now, on cycle 12 now although have both been tested and no issues either side. Hoping 2024 is our year 🤞🏼

Millie1501 · 20/01/2024 13:37

Keep me posted on how you get on, maybe leave it a few days to test again. 12dpo is a good time to start testing for most people 🤞

Oh 9dpo is still early so you never know, fingers crossed you get you bfp this time. I’m now on month 8 ttc, the chemical was our month 6. I am 36 so also worried age is a factor here. My son is nearly 2 and we conceived him first month so this has surprised us. Due to my age already seen a gp to get tests, will be getting tested in February so finger crossed no issues are found.
