@KittyFantastica I'm so terribly sorry to hear about your baby. I hope that you can heal from this, it does get easier with time. In my grieving I learned to believe that it's the soul of the baby that chooses and as hard as that is to accept, its comforting in some ways to know the soul achieved what it needed, sometimes they only need a short time on earth. I wish you all the best in your healing

Risingsun93 · 10/10/2024 11:03

Hello, iv been lurking for some time since i attuggled really badly with the loss in january but after 3 years and one miscarriage I'm pregnant again. It was conpletely unexpected as we stopped officially trying 3 months ago, I had also started abstaining (mad i know but i read it helped after 3-6 months) so was gonna try it. Wede dtd once, there was noway i thought it would happen after all this time. I'm trying to manage anxiety. I have a scan booked for 7 weeks in two weeks time but it's not really taking away the worry away. Any tips? I'm afraid to get excited or tell anyone other than partner.

Morning everyone.

Sadly, I'm here with upsetting news. I'll keep it brief as I know it will be shocking and possibly frightening for others.

I went into labour at 19+2 on Friday evening and gave birth to our beautiful, perfect little boy, George, on Saturday 28th September. The cause is currently being investigated. I don't think we will ever feel whole again, the pain is unimaginable.

ButterflySkies · 28/09/2024 06:54

@RW269 hellooooo! Sorry another week! So update - I've accepted an induction bang on 38 weeks (with the pleasure of three sweeps before). So we will be meeting baby Olaf around the 10th of October! Bit of a sea of emotion last night but i know they wouldn't do it at 38 weeks (and i had to push to say no to 37) if it wasnt for the best!

S (my daughter) is very excited - she looks so big now bless her! Shes done so well through this and im so pleased for the end is very much in touching distance now!!

How are you?? Hows this cycle... thinking of you lots my love!!! Xxx

RW269 · 22/09/2024 21:12

@ButterflySkies Hellooo!
Oh you poor thing what a ride you’ve been having! That however is VERY exciting that meeting baby Olaf (forever baby Olaf now even though you’ve told us the name you’re thinking haha!) is coming up sooner! Is your little one excited to meet her brother ?

Ooo well that will be a treat! Least that’ll be nice and easy having your teas planned out already! And needing to put back on is a good time to do it over Christmas haha!

Last months been just long haha! Halfway through the tww again now, 7-8 days to wait to see this cycles news! I’m just really happy our November appointment is getting closer every cycle so we’re not just trying and in the back of my head I’m worried like if something is causing a problem it’s all pointless stress until it’s resolved but hey ho! Time will tell keeping my fingers crossed in the meantime!! :) xxx

Hi lovely!! How are you? So sorry for silence its been rough... HG seems to be getting worse over time and baby doesnt like it when im dehydrated etc 😭 but, in positive news I think we have a plan in place to kick start baby's eviction from 37 weeks, with an induction as close to 38 as possible - so we arent far off meeting baby!

Just trying to take each day at a time - today's felt like less of a mental battle than last week - and im scrolling ocado like a lunatic (ocado is a right treat in this house 😂) making a note of everything i want to eat in the weeks after baby is born 😂 and bring on Christmas... by my maths im looking at trying to gain back a stone and a half asap 😂

How are you doing lovely?? How did the last month treat you? And appointment is coming closer?

Hope everyone else is keeping well - please update us! Xxx

RW269 · 21/09/2024 22:08

How are you all keeping? :)
@ButterflySkies Hope you’re feeling a little better now 🤞🤞🤞
how’s everyone else getting along? 🩷

@ButterflySkies the approach this month is we’ve just pin pointed a 10 day window and we’re just going to go for it those days. I’m not tracking ovulation etc i get too hyper focused and stress myself out. When I have done it it’s usually day the same time so hoping for the best 🤞🤞🤞

Oh bless you you’re having a right few weeks of it aren’t you! Glad babies all okay though!
Fingers crossed the treatment helps settle things for you and you can have a nice calm last chunk of your pregnancy! 🤞🩷

Oh @RW269 im sorry lovely... it's so gruelling!!! Hope you're feeling positive for this month though, fingers and everything crossed for you. What's the approach this month?

I'm ok over here - had another weekend in triage I'm in prodomal / false labour (yay for me!) probably due to the HG but he's fine and quite happy cooking away! Officially working from home as and when I can until the end of the month and got some intensive treatments starting this week so hopefully, hopefully there will be a dreamie bit to come soon! Xx

RW269 · 07/09/2024 19:32

Wasn’t to be my time again, back to cd6 for me 🤦🏻‍♀️ here’s hoping it’s this cycle 🤞

hope you’re all keeping okay 🩷

@ButterflySkies yeah I’ve got a couple days off now and found myself at such a lose end! I’ve started binge watching 90 day fiancé as a distraction whilst I do my clothes folding. Running out of distractions hahah!
Bless you what a rollercoaster, must be exhausting being so poorly then the relief of little baby growth scan being okay! Glad baby Kit is ticking along happily! How many weeks do you have left now? Xxx

ButterflySkies · 27/08/2024 22:00

Lovely to hear from you @Racket81 and that your appointment is soon! Hoping it's your month before that though lovely.

@RW269 not relaxing but good to pass the time!! How are you feeling now lovely?

I'm ok, I'm trending up on these tablets finally and had a growth/placental function scan today and baby is ticking along fine which is such a huge relief! My emotions are all over the place...! X

RW269 · 27/08/2024 21:38

@ButterflySkies I was working all of the bank holiday weekend sadly! Which I suppose has helped a few days go by but this must be the slowest tww going! Haha! Roll on the weekend!
Yes, I feel a little better knowing Novembers app is getting nearer so if there is any problems I can have some help! Hope you’re feeling a bit better with your sickness? 🩷Xxx

@Racket81 hello lovely! Wishing you all the luck! That’s so good you’ve got an appointment booked for September (though I hope it’s your month before that!) 🤞🤞🤞
Hope you’re keeping okay it’s a rough time! Xxx

RW269 · 25/08/2024 12:19

@ButterflySkies Awwh hope you’re feeling a tiny bit better today! Sorry to hear you’re feeling so sick! Kit is lovely maybe Olaf could be a special nickname your daughter calls him 😂
The tww is actually getting me so down this month, it just feels a bit like gearing up for disappointment all over again 🤦🏻‍♀️😂 but I’ll hopefully snap out of that soon enough 🤞🤞xxx

Hey ladies - sorry long day in hosp yesterday after lots of sick this week but feeling a smidge better today! Yep I think we are settled on Kit (my daughter would LOVE Olaf still!) which is nice at this point!

@Noisinmaro how exciting!! Sending tentative congratulations lovely and a big hand hold through the next couple of weeks, it's so nerve wracking. Please dont beat yourself up over caffeine. It won't change any outcome. I can only drink coke atm and the midwives keep reassuring me the risks around caffeine at any stage are SO tiny. It won't have had any impact lovely.

@RW269 how are you doing lovely? How's the TWW treating you? Miss having my TWW buddy!!

@KittyFantastica 14 weeks is exciting! Hope the sickness isnt too bad - if it doesn't let up soon, get yourself some meds. They do work, but the sooner you start them the more effective they are and im paying the price for that now. So definitely get the help and dont suffer through xxx

Noisinmaro · 24/08/2024 17:33

@KittyFantastica I forgot caffeine in coke drank good bit over last 2 days normally don't ever drink a.soft drink...
Yeah must look up the foods not to eat....
Did either.of yee get put om.progesterone tablet after mis?
I'm on a thyroid tablets so I think il go.into doctor real soon....

RW269 · 24/08/2024 16:33

@Noisinmaro sending you all the positivity! Congratulations and I have everything hopeful for it to go well 🩷✨

OP posts:
KittyFantastica · 24/08/2024 15:41

Oh wow, wonderful news @Noisinmaro! Tentative congratulations, I know the anxiety so well, but remember every time is different. I really, really hope this is your time!

Also, you can safely have up to 200mg of caffeine a day (so a coffee would be fine) and eggs can be served soft if they've got the red lion on them! I've mostly given up caffeine as I don't drink coffee, but it makes me feel better for if I want a soft drink when we go out :)

Keep us posted 🤞
