Will do again in morn to confirm and call consultant at recurrent MC clinic as he wanted.to know as soon as possative. Hopefully will get progesterone this time. @RW269 hope things are progressing for you?
How are you keeping since??

Noisinmaro · 22/12/2024 09:17

@RW269 oh good, that's good your on the high folic, aspirin and progesterone...
Amazing how gp's & hospital different the GP put me on 400 progesterone twice day then the public hospital wanted me off it...I had some left so I kept.taking them I saw private consultant..then the private clinic put me on 200 progesterone once day....
Ireland is way behind UK regards evidence of progesterone & miscarriage....uk are way more on the ball...after 1 mis recommend it...whereas dr in public hospital said its pointless no need...
So hardbto know...but I've read loads whereas it is recommended....I just left better doing something anything while I was holding on to my +ve pregnancy results....
Just take it nice and easy over Christmas, do yee stay at home for chriatmaa or go to famiily and please god all goes well and it will ...I just said right get through each day by day and then I met one week hurdle one week at a time...

I generally don't mind shortened names but vikki and tori I don't really like....but Victoria is lovely....
Any them names I don't mind hubby going with....

Have a lovely Christmas...

RW269 · 22/12/2024 06:55

@Noisinmaro oh that’s some lovely names! If you do go with Victoria you could always have Tori as the shortened nickname possibly?
Are you keeping okay ? :)
Ah yes I’m on the 5mg folic acid too, my GP luckily is very on the ball and straight away got me on it :)
my lines have started to darken a little yesterday I’ve got everything crossed it just holds on and sticks 🤞✨

OP posts:
Noisinmaro · 18/12/2024 23:42

@RW269 I'm also on 5mg folic I presume as I'm older...so no harm asking the Dr or consultant next time your in...
I paid alot of money for this advice ( was put on it at private clinic even though already had publuc appointment and wasnt put on it) so if I can share any info I've gained I most definitely will....
Keep us posted and I will keep you in my prayers...hoping all goes well for you....

Noisinmaro · 18/12/2024 23:38

@RW269 yip lots names going around...
Victoria
Katherine
Juliet
Kate...there hubby's picks...I won't have the say of a dog as the saying goes..I'll be told what the name is...he's very happy...
Met a baby couple years ago her name was Eveanne or Evanne not sure of spelling and I loved it....must suggest that.....
He is mad on Victoria
I'd be afraid victoria be vikki...not sure I'd be happy on the shortened name vikki...
Dont mind kate or katie as short for Katherine...
I like the name Ella...but he isn't keen...
Name picking is just bitta fun..
Anyways best don't get too carried away and go back to taking it Day by day, one week at a time...

RW269 · 18/12/2024 23:19

@Noisinmaro Thanks lovely! You know funny you say that re the aspirin…I had read online about it and this cycle from ovulation I started taking half an aspirin a day so like 150 strength. Could be coincidence but odd timing! Glad all is well with you and you’re plodding along okay! A little girl how wonderful have you thought of any names yet?

@ButterflySkies Thank you so much 🩷✨ Awwh so sweet you had a little cry too haha! I’ll definitely keep yous updated we’ve become a little support group haven’t we haha! Sending all the love ! Xx

@Butterflyskies congrats on your baby boy...I was wondering about you... whether u had your baby yet...great news...exciting Xmas ahead....

Thankfully all good with me..
Feeling good, actually only told my siblings this eve as hubby is itching to tell his family I told him only if I tell my sisters first...nicely shocked and surprised...
As I'm older I wanted to make the pregnancy short for myself , and a peaceful and private pregnancy is all I want before I out out it...as once news is out it's out...
Thankfully I can hold and keep things quite easily, im so not into being centre of attention...
Haven't told work colleagues...just my boss as wanted to stay on paid leave as was going on no pay.. as pregnancy pay is protected to a point...

ButterflySkies · 18/12/2024 20:58

Had a quick chance to read properly

@KittyFantastica i am so devastated for your loss. I am sending so much love to you. I'm so sorry to read what you've been through. I'm sorry to hear there's no clear answer. I honestly dont know what to say, but hoping you and your partner are both ok.

@Noisinmaro fantastic news!! How are you feeling lovely? X

ButterflySkies · 18/12/2024 18:45

Sorry for being a bit silent on here!! I had baby Olaf a smidge prematurely - i didnt need the induction after all - and we have had a bit of a rocky start, but we're settling down now into something that feels more sustainable and everyone is healthy and well. He'll be three months on new years day, which is terrifying!

Hope everyone is doing ok, I'll catch up properly overnight. Sorry I've not looked at MN for a while but am so invested in your journeys will read and reply later and sending love to everyone, i know this time of year can be really hard so huge hugs to everyone.

@RW269 i just saw an email saying you'd updated and ive just had a little emotional cry for you and quickly wanted to say that I have got everything crossed for this Christmas wish, such an amazing thing to see!! Sending you a huge huge hug and hope the progesterone goes ok. Keep us updated on how you're feeling etc :) xxx

Noisinmaro · 18/12/2024 17:17

@RW269 Wow wee wow that's amazing news...
Also get on aspirin on hospital had me on 150 baby aspirin..( told me helps embeds the placenta, also for age and if your high BLood pressure prone), I'm on 75 aspirin now from.private clinic... well I really hope all goes well. Il say a prayer for your special baba.. .see that's what I'm taking Hope; about one minute feel down with months of negative tests next minute your hit with 2 lines and still don't feel any differ and a whole set of other worries form...
All we have is HOPE.....
Please god.all goes well , keep us posted...

@KittyFantastica well I hope that gives you hope...months of negative tests is a really pain , believe me i had years 11 of it...and ill health....but u also might not have months of negative tests...and get your positive really soon...its every but if not more likely to happen in next 3 cycles ...your body lost a baby it wants to be pregnant so it will be in over drive after your loss to produce eggs....thats what my consultant said, I had a positive only 3 cycles after my mis she said your body wants a baby.....

Regards me all is well...
I had my 20 week scan all went well...thank god..I'm so so so grateful.....
Got my NIPTs result I'm low risk...I'm having a girl....
Consultant did say I can work till paddy's then she signing me off due to age i presume and health concerns....in my head I'm thinking il see when time comes as il be on half pay and I'm flying it and I hope to work as close as I can....
So will see...one day at a time...
Will also do what's advised...just hoping I don't get GD or High blood pressure....
Anyways...keep the good news coming...
Hopefully next year will be a good year for positive pregnancy results for this thread....

RW269 · 18/12/2024 17:10

@KittyFantastica Thank you so much! I am a bag of nerves at the moment haha!

That’s good you got a positive OPK, all a step. I hope to hear from you with some good news as soon as possible 🤞✨🩷

How are you feeling now? You’ve had such a rough time I hope you have a nice bit of festive cheer to lift your spirits a tiny bit

KittyFantastica · 18/12/2024 16:47

Congratulations @RW269 Keeping everything crossed for you. You deserve that bit of Christmas magic.

How did your scan go @Noisinmaro? I've been thinking of you. Thank you so much for your kind message below as well. The support here has been so kind ❤️ Hope you're doing really well.

CD2 today for me. We ended up unexpectedly at risk of pregnancy last month without 100% deciding whether we were ready. We DTD a couple of days over Hub's birthday and I had a cramp so did a digital OPK and it came up static straight away. Taken off guard! Nothing came of it though, it's the first time we were unprotected and didnt end up pregnant, so now I'm worrying if we do try again this month, it will be months of negative tests. We can never win!

RW269 · 18/12/2024 14:43

Hope you’re all keeping okay 🩷✨ Just thought I’d give a little update! Finally got this today. Got progesterone to start taking and an early scan booked. Got everything crossed my little Christmas wish stays 🤞🩷

@KittyFantastica just briefly on me, I'm over 16 weeks nearly 17...not a day goes by I'm glad I got through another day, weeks or scan...I've my 20 weeks scan on the 16th Dec please god.
Had NIPTS so far so good...but I don't take a day or week for granted...

I feel sad reading you message, you've been through an awful lot, don't rush anything.
It's early days yet but please don't let your past decide your future, I hear yea re what the drs say reaching full term for you unlikely but at the same time no one really knows...you even said they dont know the why?
when your strength comes back try it wilk eventually you can start to hope again as it's all we really have. Hope does not come without pain....
I haven't been through what you have been and there is no comparsion but I think everyone on here knows the disappointment off tcc, the negative thoughts and feelings that come with it.
I was in the depths of despair but I did always hope at the back of it and I got my positive eventually...
Defo start on the supplements...I follow a fertility nurse and she was saying the fertility clinics recommend proceive max strength for male and female.. I had hubby on the max for 2 months..I was on the normal proceive and had planned on going on the max then I got my positive....
I'm in ireland so I can go to a private consultant for my care at my own expense, and I'm on aspirin and 5mg folic. I was on progesterone from week 4 to 16 I do think this helped. So if you get a positive again defo try to get into the epu early on. That's what my gp did then after my first scan I booked myself into private clinic...
Our publuc system is very good just I've a medical history on top of all these issues so I just decided to go to a consultant as rater see same person if possible.
I know ireland prob very different and uk seems a better system for scans, and ootiojs re consultant led etc.
Anyways keep in touch and hopefully the new year brings new hope.

RW269 · 24/11/2024 20:49

Awwh @KittyFantastica you’re going through such a lot these last few months. Don’t give up hope though keep that little light of hope sparkling my lovely 🩷
Sending you all the love

Thank you @Noisinmaro, @Racket81 and @RW269. How are you all doing?

CD1 for me today. Before we started TTC, it seemed like my cycles were getting shorter. They were consistently 25-27 days whereas they'd been 28-29 days for two years before then. The cycle that's just ended was a 30 day cycle, and my luteal phase has gone from 9 days to 13. It's insane how much losing George has affected my cycle.

We've been taking our TTC vitamins since end of September in case we want to try again, and I added a few new ones, so maybe that has done something. I don't know if we'll try this cycle. Time isn't on our side, and neither are statistics for having a full-term pregnancy now, so I don't know what to do.

All the results came back clear. George was absolutely perfect in every way. The cord, all the bloods, the swabs, everything. They're putting it down as unexplained and think it was either an issue with my bladder than made me start contracting at 16 weeks, or a weak cervix. But they can't say which, so a new pregnancy will basically be used to determine which it is 😭. Either way, reaching full term is very unlikely. After one pre-term labour, they usually start earlier from then on and I was only 19 weeks.

So, I'm also facing the fact I may never make the love of my life a daddy either.

Hope you lovely lot are all doing okay 🩷🩷🩷

Grief is a very real and different process for everyone so be kind to yourself . Xxx

Noisinmaro · 14/11/2024 13:36

@KittyFantastica you often pop into my head,so sorry for your loss, I really am, don't mind your boss, unfortunately sometime people lack empathy.
Hope going back to work is bare able. It's really hard so all in your own good time. I hope things turn around soon and you start to feel hopeful again cause it's all any of us really have.
Don't put any pressure on your yourself to feel any way, just keeping putting one foot in front of the other. Hope your extended family are being kind to you. Take care and mind yourself.

KittyFantastica · 07/11/2024 22:35

Hi @Racket81 nice to hear from you.

No real update from me, really. We held baby George's funeral on Monday and I'll be going back to work on Monday coming. Every day is a struggle. I don't feel like the same person anymore. Three losses in one year feels unbelievably cruel, and the death of our beautiful little baby boy made me feel like I'll never feel joy again. My boss has been absolutely useless through all this and has made being off very stressful, so I'm dreading going back.

My period returned exactly 28 days after George was born, which felt impossibly cruel. After my MMC at 9 weeks, it took 8 weeks just for intermittent bleeding to start and I still wasn't ovulating. This time, I could even feel ovulation, the cramp was so strong. I'm currently CD14, so expect to ovulate tomorrow or Saturday. We aren't trying again just yet as we are still waiting for the debrief and investigation results into a cause of death.

Fingers crossed for you and @RW269 x

Racket81 · 07/11/2024 18:14

Thanks. Nice to hear from you good to hear from a familiar person. I will keep you posted. Good luck for this cycle for you.

RW269 · 07/11/2024 15:37

Hey @Racket81 hope you’re keeping okay and got some things planned to occupy your mind until Sunday!
I’m finding focusing on early Christmas time planning is helping much to my husbands dismay😂
back to square one here due to ovulate in a couple days so then be back to the tww again.
sending lots of love! Xx
