Thought I’d make a new thread for those of us Ttc in February 2024. I know some of us will cross over from end of Jan to Feb! Wishing everyone all the luck ✨❤️

Hi ladies, happy Sunday! We’re trying the SMEP method this month. Currently on CD13. I had some very light bleeding when I wiped this morning. I’ve never had that before but have read it can be a sign of ovulation so I’m going to start ovulations tests and get DH onboard! 😅

Pappychi · 28/01/2024 12:09

Can I join this thread? Please? 😁

AF due today and no sign at the minute but me and the husband daren’t even hope. No typical pregnancy symptoms at the minute but my mum was six months gone before she found out she was having my brother 😳

Been going through tests currently as doctor suspects I may have a thyroid issue so we shall see.

Keeping myself busy by dragging my hounds out on never ending walks.

Baby dust and gentle hugs to everyone. It’s the weirdest and most isolating journey this trying TTC.

RW269 · 28/01/2024 12:09

Awwh @babycandy sending lots of hugs!

Racket81 · 28/01/2024 10:07

My partner is 24th October and Easter due on Halloween bit early. Do he would love nothing more than a Halloween baby. So i can dream.with you. X

AccountingMummy · 28/01/2024 09:56

Big hugs @babycandy ❤️

babycandy · 28/01/2024 09:54

Absolutely gutted… bleeding this morning 😭😭😭

Mrshaitchxo · 28/01/2024 09:21

CD 11 over here 👋🏻

last month I ovulated around CD21/22 so I could have a while to go yet 😅 but have also been known to get a peak on CD14 so who knows 🤷🏼‍♀️

Trying to remain positive that this will be the month but it’s our 5th cycle of trying and I tell myself this every month 😂 I also find myself in and out of the ‘I’m not lucky enough’ mindset and have to snap myself out but it’s hard not to isn’t it!!

SlinkMcSlink · 28/01/2024 09:18

CD 10 of 738383636 cycles!

eurgh all blends into one now. Woke up this morning and husband went ‘we best just get started then!’ Bloody hell we’re fed up of this timed DTD. No method is working. Every day, every other day, sperm meets egg…….what is the secret formula that is proving impossible to figure out. This happened last year and we ended up booking holidays to at least have something else to look forward to. At this rate, we will end up buying a new car or kitchen just to focus ourselves on something other than babies and the whole disappointment.

Apologies for the Sunday morning rant.

meepthebeep · 28/01/2024 09:11

Slightly concerned that we’ve overdone it and I might have a bit of thrush… I’ve only ever had it once before so it’s a bit annoying if that is what’s happened!

Does anyone know can this affect TTC? I don’t really want to go putting Canestan up there… if it’s mild, will it go away on its own with a bit of a rest?

We’ve been using Pre-Seed which is meant to be the right pH etc, so not quite sure how it could’ve happened other than just frequency of DTD 🤷🏻‍♀️

piechipsgravy · 28/01/2024 08:13

AF due tomorrow. Woke up this morning at 4am to stomach cramps so put a pad in but there is still no sign of blood whatsoever and still white discharge. Have literally never woken up in the night from cramps and not immediately started bleeding so that was strange. Also have a bit of breast tenderness and had a dream that I had a positive pregnancy test last night. All of those can mean absolutely nothing but I am getting a little bit ahead of myself...

ButterflySkies · 28/01/2024 08:10

@PinkFlamingo888 and @Phinie i know it's so hard to judge what to do with telling people. I have told my closest friend, which has helped especially when ive had a CP (thats when i told her). I also told my SIL as a bit of a quip back to her setting my niece up to ask why our family only had one child (yes my SIL is a twit 😂), when my niece was out of earshot - she hasn't asked again and this was months ago. But it's such a personal decision.

Flashy smiley this morning, didnt DTD last night as hubby was tired and grouchy so I sent him to bed and he was snoring when I went up. To be honest I think we're both a bit emotional and preparing ourselves for this month not working. Let's hope it's still flashing tomorrow and I can get the key days covered! Considering sending DD to my neighbours to play with their dog for 10 mins so we can DTD 😂 x

PinkFlamingo888 · 28/01/2024 02:05

@Phinie I completely agree, I’m also on about cycle 5 and it is such a lonely process. I know it’s a very personal choice but I have come to the decision that I’d rather just be honest with some people about trying so that they don’t ask the awkward questions or assume and it’s been a really positive thing to do!

RW269 · 27/01/2024 22:30

@Phinie
Awwh 100% try not thinking if they’re not hurting you’re out :) everyone will have such different symptoms I’ve read a lot of people have 0 symptoms until well after their due on and tested. We’ve got this!
Im trying my best to stay upbeat found myself the last couple days going in and out of the “I’m not lucky, it’s not going to happen for me what’s the point” mindset and that’s not the place to be 😂

Phinie · 27/01/2024 20:38

Thank you! I wish you luck too! And yeah, exactly, I feel like it would add so much stress to feel like people in my life are expecting a baby from me soon.

One thing I can't get out of my head is that my mother also told me once that for all of her pregnancies, she knew right away. And that her breasts started hurting way before she got a positive pregnancy test. So now I keep feeling that since my boobs don't hurt that must mean I'm out? Even though I logically know we are different people and will likely have different experiences with pregnancy. I kind of wish she had never told me, I'm paying way too much attention to my boobs these days haha.

RW269 · 27/01/2024 20:29

@Phinie welcome to the thread of all of us over analysing everything :D haha
Wishing you luck for February!
Snap with the not telling people about trying, feel like it’ll add too much pressure!

Phinie · 27/01/2024 20:26

Hi everyone, I hope I can jump in. I'm 2dpo at the moment, and on about my 5th cycle of TTC (I say 'about' because for one of those cycles I was sick and we didn't try much, so I don't know whether to count it haha). And I made an account because I need a place to vent. It's so hard to constantly be symptom spotting and overanalysing every little twinge and wondering if I'm pregnant but not having anyone aside from my husband to talk to about it (I don't really want to tell anyone in my life that we're trying). So I hope having this place helps x

PinkFlamingo888 · 27/01/2024 18:36

@ButterflySkies we managed to dtd two days ago but today is looking unlikely. Wish we’d not had a day off yesterday now! Fingers crossed two days ago is good enough and maybe we’ll have a try tomorrow just in case!

RW269 · 27/01/2024 18:17

@3/4 so far 😂 hoping to make it 4/5 tonight, next 3 days are the big ones so got my fingers crossed! How are you getting along with it? :)

ButterflySkies · 27/01/2024 18:03

@PenguinOnTheMoon i bloody love halloween i hadnt thought of that! Flo's telling me to test on valentines day too, wouldnt that be a lovely story (im allowed to dream right!)

@meepthebeep and @Noisinmaro interesting! I have to say this trial run of ovulation sticks is only confirming what i thought before... just another thing to obsess over, personally anyway, and i cant see what they'll add if we're DTD every or every other day... @Choc29 i think you have to be consistent with the timing and i think everyone gets their peak at different times of day, from reading previous threads...

@meepthebeep get on it!!! @RW269 how's the sexathon going?

@PinkFlamingo888 sorry to hear youve got illness in the house... hope you avoid it! hows it looking for DTD? If you did it yesterday or before, you should be in with a chance!!

Ive really got my hopes up this month for a sticky bean... im dreading the middle of Feb already... x

babycandy · 27/01/2024 18:00

No af here yet. I’m hoping this is the month 🤞

Racket81 · 27/01/2024 17:42

Welcome all the newbies. Hoping we get some bfps this month especially for those who have had a long ttc journey. X

PenguinOnTheMoon · 27/01/2024 17:40

CD7 here.

Used the CB Advanced Ovulation test last month. Going to use the Easy@Home strips as well this month, more because they're cheaper.

I think I probably geared up for ovulation last month but then didn't ovulate until a week later. Blaming COVID for the delay. But with the cheaper strips I can test after the static smiley on the CB and see if the line fades or returns.

On track for a Halloween baby if we conceive this month 😂

RW269 · 27/01/2024 16:28

Lovely to see some new faces joining!
Sending you all the best of luck!
Where is everyone in the cycle? I’m cd13 and already feeling impatient and it’s not even tww quite yet haha!
What yous all thinking about the OPK sticks or the clear blue ones? Thinking if it doesn’t work this month giving it a go!
fingers firmly crossed for us all! :)

Noisinmaro · 27/01/2024 14:21

@meepthebeep when I used the clear blue 4 day I went from empty circle to static, I also got no flashing smiley I used the boots ones last month, i got a line for one day only...Will use the clear blue this month once AF arrives......I'm only 2 months using ovulation sticks....
