I want this to be our month

I'm really going to try and manage my stress levels as I don't think that's helping

RedRobyn2021 · 02/02/2024 11:38

Joining following on from the January thread, finished my period yesterday so back in the game for February

RW269 · 02/02/2024 11:37

@ButterflySkies @KittyFantastica and anyone else testing about the 12th….only 10 days to go! Hope you’re all doing well and having a lovely low stress Friday! I’ve swapped to low caffeine today just incase and I’m sure caffeine withdrawal is a thing 😂

@piechipsgravy ahh yes I'd say that's okay & as long as everything else seems normal!

I also found that my bbt was all over the place for the few months that I was taking them & my CM is noticeably different & seems more 'normal' again now that I'm off them and BBT is showing trends again whereas it was up and down before.. so strange. Maybe my body is just sensitive to vitamin/hormone changes haha!

piechipsgravy · 02/02/2024 10:17

Thanks @Anonxo @Mrshaitchxo - I'm normally 24-26 day cycle but have just come on so last cycle was 28 days. In theory I'm guessing it's a good thing as it's got me to a more typical cycle/my luteal phase was a bit short- just hope it doesn't keep lengthening! I've been having the folic acid + b12 tablets and started vitamin d yesterday.

Mrshaitchxo · 02/02/2024 10:06

@piechipsgravy mine were a bit sporadic, they shortened to around 26 days and then my last one was 35 days!! Whereas pre-vitamins I was regular 28 days every time so it's either a really bizarre coincidence or it was the vitamins 😂 I'm looking into a folic acid & vitamin D only vitamin from now on I think.. I've found a lot of them will advertise just those but then on the packet they have extra vitamins included such as the B6 etc..

Anonxo · 02/02/2024 10:02

i don’t know if it was the folic acid specifically but when I started the prenatal for conception it has made my cycle longer. One of the ladies mentioned that b6 can potentially lengthen the luteal phase

piechipsgravy · 02/02/2024 09:52

Has anyone noticed their cycle changing after starting folic acid? It's the only thing I can think that would explain why my cycle has been approx 3-4 days longer than usual (and counting)!

Anonxo · 02/02/2024 09:49

All the ones with extra iron always make me nauseous

Anonxo · 02/02/2024 09:48

That’s great it is boots is £4 for 60 so I think I’ll check that out ☺️

Riverstardust · 02/02/2024 09:48

Anonxo · 01/02/2024 22:28

Ooh thank you I was starting to worry what did you take instead or did you just stop vitamins all together?

Hey,
I found all multi vitamins made me feel sick. So I can't take those.
However I do take folic acid(they recommend that before you start trying, so would get on that asap) and vitamin D.
I also supplement my diet with things such as Brazil nuts every other day(high in selenium, just 2 is enough for you rda) Orange juice mixed with coconut water for hydration and vitamins, lots of fresh fruit and veggies and protein.
Hope that helps 😊

SnKcampbell · 02/02/2024 09:43

Anonxo · 01/02/2024 22:34

😂😂 that makes sense I was considering just taking the basic boots brand folic acid but gotta wait for af to come back first 🙃

Edited

Hi I'm taking Nature Aid folic acid It is £3.02 on Amazon for 90 tablets not sure if this is cheaper then boots but thought may let you know just incase

Racket81 · 02/02/2024 06:39

2nd day of high on my fertility monitor. Did yesterday twice so gonna give today a rest day if the man in my life can handle it. We dtd alot anyway almost every day normally so I'm thinking this may not be helping but hindering but he is like a rabbit.🤣

Mrshaitchxo · 01/02/2024 22:31

@Anonxo I decided to just stop them completely for the time being, I've bought the seven seas folic acid +vit D but I'm a bit apprehensive to take them currently. I'm tempted to wait until I do hopefully fall pregnant and then start folic acid at that point.. aside from the effects on my period I simply can't afford them along with all the fertility friendly lube, opks and pregnancy tests 😂

Anonxo · 01/02/2024 22:28

Mrshaitchxo · 01/02/2024 22:27

Hope everyone's doing okay!

CD15 today, ovulation is either today or tomorrow so we're dtd everyday.

I'm feeling weirdly hopeful this month for some reason, I don't know if it's because my cycles are back to normal which is making me feel like there's more of a chance or if I'm just delusional but we can only hope!!

good luck to everyone entering the TWW, we've got this ✨✨

Anonxo · 01/02/2024 14:59

Heyy has any one uses pregona are conception before and it’s delayed AF? If so what did you do if anything to fix this

I found it completely messed with my cycles so stopped taking them completely and they returned to normal. It's apparently one of the B vitamins that can cause a longer leuteal phase!

Oh absolutely, it’s very early to go whole hog and totally understand your position. I am def not giving any advice or tips - I certainly have no expertise… yet!

Best of luck to you both!

Thanks, so many say it may be a better way to track with opks and btt but also seems like it maybe stressful?

i have learnt from this month though my body likes to play tricks on me as we really thought i was in with some symptoms i don't normally have showing up but looks like i was tricked lol

CoolSummer89 · 01/02/2024 20:31

SnKcampbell · 01/02/2024 19:17

Thank you, we are not quite ready for opks and btt just yet, hope this works out for you though. and wishing you lots of luck

we plan to do it every 3 days starting when my period ends and then stopping a few days before I'm due to start, hubby says to email him the dates every 3 days as a reminder as he didn't like me nagging him last month he felt the pressure he said lol

so CD1 round 2 for us back at it from the 6th Feb lol

How are we all feeling now that February has arrived? I am on CD8 so pre-fertile window. Next week is showtime! Find myself either feeling very excited or feeling a bit run down.

@SnKcampbell I am the same as you. 35yo and this is my second cycle of trying. I decided when my period arrived last week to fully go in on the tracking, so I bought Natural Cycles (which does temps) and OPKs. Hoping that gives us a good chance. One positive is that it sends notifications to my husband, so I don't have to tell him when fertile days are.

Wishing everyone the best luck 💫

Hi, am I ok joining? Had a MMC back in December whilst trying for our first. I'm finding it hard that none of our friends know, so I'm hoping this might help me by having somewhere to chat as we're all going through something similar. Today I'm on CD16 and it's my ovulation day according to the clear blue ovulation tests, and tomorrow will begin the TWW which is so stressful. I'm hoping this group can keep my mind occupied 😊.
