Ah thanks, really hope it goes smooth for you @ButterflySkiesand it will but now after going through this I can understand the worry....

ButterflySkies · 08/05/2024 20:36

@Noisinmaro what a lovely way to take your mind off things. It is so incredibly difficult. I had losses before my daughter and I had two very early losses before this one, I'm still praying it's smooth from here, any loss is absolutely heartbreaking and earth shattering. Sending you a huge, huge hug. My only advice is to take care of yourself and to take it easy on yourself, let yourself feel all the things you need to. It will happen for you, and I'm so hoping it happens soon xx

Noisinmaro · 07/05/2024 23:04

Thanks everyone for being so kind. I've learnt a few things from this, I always knew its a bit of a miracle but our timing was always off or i was too stressed i suppose but in last month we only dtd 4 times every second day from day 9 and I ovulated on day 13 or 14 I think but I dtd on the odd days....we had my niece over so wasn't really bothered.... always hoped for the best and really tried be positive every month...but I had given up as i was tired of it all...then when I finally conceived I lost it so what will be will be...ive feck all control really even though I control everything but a person can't..what will be will be...anyways ive planted so many flowers in pots and window boxes last couple days as I can't sit or im upset so i'll have fabulous collection of flowers when I drive up the driveway this summer at least....life really is cruel...
Anyways I'll still hope as that's what got me this far...so hopefully we get our chance again, best of luck everyone....

KittyFantastica · 07/05/2024 14:02

Thank you @RW269, that's the plan for sure. Even up to two weeks ago, TTC was the furthest from my mind. We really needed a break and the thought of even trying was too terrible. 16 weeks total of pregnancy this year (two losses) and no baby, so I felt sick of being in a constant state of stress and waiting. Now I'm starting to feel better, it's creeping into my consciousness a bit more and I don't feel so panicked. We'll see what happens.

Oh, @Noisinmaro, I'm so sorry that's been your experience. This whole thing really is a mind screw when it doesn't go as we all think it's supposed to. I totally understand about not wanting pity and just wanting to keep it to yourself. Make sure you are have enough support, it's hard thinking of how it affects partners, but I'm sure he'll want to support you too.

@Racket81 We're taking the same kind of attitude and just want to relax through this cycle. Maybe the next one too. We won't be using protection, but we won't be doing SMEP or anything either. IVF and access to it is so harsh, it's horrific how expensive it is and the stress on top. Worth it, of course, if you get the outcome you want, but it's just like any other method of TTC in the end, isn't it? There's never any certainty for anyone.

ButterflySkies · 07/05/2024 08:15

@KittyFantastica it's lovely to hear from you but I am so sorry to hear what you've been through lovely. Take care of yourself before you even think of anything else love. Sending a huge hug and hand hold 🩷

@Noisinmaro im so sorry to hear this too, and really hope EPU has some positive news. Take care of yourself too lovely

@RW269 hope you're well 🩷

Racket81 · 07/05/2024 07:07

Hi Guys

Sounds awful for you @KittyFantastica have been there myself. So 2 and half years in now and turning 43 in August so am just gonna chill and if happens it happens. Not ovulation checking as I know roughly anyway. Am thinking of going docs to get tested for fibroids and endo though. If only we could afford ivf but not option atm until the house sells.

Noisinmaro · 07/05/2024 00:56

@KittyFantastica very sorry to hear that was wondering how u were getting along with @ButterflySkies .....I'm so sorry for your loss...sorry you had to have surgery....
I spoke too soon myself had a bleed Thursday and it got very heavy and crampy clots, like rolling around in pain but i just wanted to get out and kneel down but i suffered on....and its was over before I could think, went to drs Friday...so i bled day after i got my positive....he sending me for a scan but I think no needand i told him like there isn't any need but I'm going to do as I'm told he was very nice to me just hope i dont meet someone horrible at the EPU can do without it......so had the most horrible bank holiday I say to myself at least was only at 5+3 days but sure could happen again....see I never tested this time as id no tests we didn't over get to ttc as my niece was visiting I will say I was fairly chilled as I was on leave so maybe that helped and I kinda had given up...and i was in denial as well thats why i didnt test its a nice place to be .....I'm sad but I was cautious, like ive told nobody except hubby i feel so guilty sorry for him and i know i wont tell my family could do with out the pity its just sad...i feel sad but it was so early like so early so i need to muddle on with it as it was like having a heavy short period.......I've learnt that a positive test doesn't mean much I developed a whole new set of worries...
Anyways mumsnet has been great....

RW269 · 06/05/2024 22:23

@KittyFantastica oh my lovely, I’m so sorry that happened for you sending you all the love!

Hi all,

I'm 6 weeks post D&C now and have just had my first Aunt Flo arrive since the surgery. It was a traumatic time, the last pregnancy, and we really want to continue but also still feel a bit raw. We've decided to stay relaxed, go about our usual business this month and if it happens, it happens. If it doesn't, it doesn't. We're both getting on and feeling the pressure of time ticking away, but also feeling like we stressed so much the last cycle of trying that it did neither of us any good.

Hope you're all keeping well.

RW269 · 01/05/2024 21:44

@ButterflySkies
What healthy cravings ! 😂
That’s so funny though the banana and tomato Situation! No pizza for yous haha!

Thats so exciting! Do let me know how it goes!
Is your daughter a frozen fan? Does she secretly want a baby snowman called Olaf? Haha!

100%, it’s so hard wearing isn’t it! I’ll know in just over a week I’ll keep you updated for sure! Rating to go for next month if it’s not happened. Going to draw up a new food/exercise plan to lose some weight so I’ve got that to focus on as well as the Ttc might help stop me getting too wound up in it haha! Xxx

It's gone so quickly! I think it's likely to fly by...!

Mango and very cold cucumber 😂 and i dont think i could be in the same room as a banana or anything tomato based 😂 so bizarre! We are going to take my daughter for a gender scan next weekend - i need to be able to plan and we need to reset her expectations if it isnt what she wants, she wants a boy called Olaf...!

Oh bless you - definitely worth relaxing this month. It gets so all consuming doesnt it. It took us the best part of a year, six months of that was wing it and see and six was very emotionally invested and you have to take care of yourselves. Have been thinking of you so keep me updated, got everything crossed this is the month! Xxx

@Noisinmaro oh amazing news!!! Thats so wonderful to read, lovely to see after following your journey. Got everything crossed for you for a successful pregnancy, keep us posted and so chuffed for you xxx

RW269 · 01/05/2024 10:06

@ButterflySkies

Oh my goodness 15 weeks that has flown by!

Glad the sickness is slowing down for you! Have you had any weird cravings yet? Haha!
Hope you have a lovely time telling your colleagues today what an exciting time!

Do you plan on finding out if it’s a boy or girl when the time comes or are you going for a surprise? :)

I’m okay thanks, still plodding along trying!
Had a bit more of a laid back month this one didn’t do ovulation tests etc and tried focusing on other things it was draining my head but back to it next month if the sporadic approach hasn’t worked this month haha!
xxx

Noisinmaro · 01/05/2024 09:17

Wow @ButterflySkies 15 weeks I was on your thread as well, yee Pop into my head , wow can't believe that's 15 weeks shows that time does fly.....
I'm on may thread my period is 10 days late I've test coming today and doctors tomorrow and I've cramping or buzzing feeling, its weird down in lower abdomen..I've no symptoms im getting hiccups and my first sign was peeing then peeing again or again before leaving house then peeing minute got to office...having to go half way on a walk....
