Just checking if anyone else around CD13 wants to join this thread? Was nice to have a group going last cycle.
I just entered my fertile window today. OPKs says I haven't ovulated yet but they're getting darker every day ☺️

Super news @Sara1988!! Got my fingers crossed this month is your month!
my Natural cycles has moved my predicted ovulation to tomorrow rather than today as no temp increase this morning. Poor DP is exhausted 😂

I keep having exactly the same thing- I wonder if it's cause we're a bit anxious? Have moved to dtd every other day as I think daily was taking the joy out of it! Good luck.

So I FINALLY got a positive on mine today. Turns out not the tests fault just late ovulation.

@Sara1988 in using some cheap Onestep ones from Amazon, the NC once’s seemed expensive for how often they want you to take them!
According to the app I should ovulate today, but feel more like AF is on her way as I’m super grumpy and miserable plus some dull lower belly pain, so will see what tomorrow brings temperature-wise, as no rise yet!

Okk so I misread my blood results from Monday. It was progesterone levels that where 0.74 - my LH levels where 10.3 iu/L … and FSH levels 5.1 - so I’m guessing as the LH was higher than the FSH then I was in ovulation on Monday ?? Sooo technically I could be around 3DPO depending on exactly when ovulation took place.

Posting on this thread too

hi everyone
so this would be my 6th pregnancy (lost my 5th at 10wks 2019) - me and OH not actively TTC but DTD sat eve and he didn’t pull out (as he would normally) - I’m at about CD16 now and since Tuesday I’ve had dull cramping (not specifically to one side), Lowe back pain, constipation type feeling I usually have before AF. Do you think this is likely Ovulation? - CM more thin stretchy over weekend then past few days up until today it’s been watery, now today it’s been more cloudy and thicker but very minimal. Honestly you would think after 5 pregnancies I’d know all this but I feel so clueless 🤦‍♀️ I don’t always get obvious ovulation. I know my LH (via blood testing) was 0.74 on Monday - not sure if that means anything?

Bb542 · 18/01/2024 23:25

@Applesandcake exactly. Try to relax and be distracted as much as possible. I'd say you'll ovulate tonight/tomorrow morning so you should be good 🤞🏼

Oh no, you poor things. Hopefully you all start to feel better soon.
Totally relate to what you're saying about making ensure you enjoy TTC. The last thing it should feel like is a chore which I know lots of people say it becomes.
Looks like we'll both be 1DPO on Saturday then? I'm going to try hold off testing until at least 9DPO. That'll be an improvement on last cycle anyway.

Looks that way! I’m hoping I ovulate asap given tomorrow looks like we won’t be able to dtd. I am trying to stay blaze about it though. I became totally obsessed and stressed out ttc my first two. I was always worried I wouldn’t be able to conceive at all. This time, I mean, it’s possible I no longer can, but unlikely given I had a miscarriage in the spring, so I’m telling myself there’s no need to stress this time, it’ll happen when it happens. So if we miss a few days this cycle, that’s ok……. It’s half working telling myself that!

I will test from 8dpo, but not before!

hi all! First time posting on here but would love to have a group to share with and support!
TTC at the moment and on CD17 with predicted ovulation in 3 days.
i haven’t yet had a positive OPK despite testing last month too (although not as religiously!). This does make me feel anxious about whether I’m ovulating yet after 12 years on hormonal birth control having come off at end of October, so fingers crossed! Am using Natural cycles to track which I’m finding really informative and have even convinced DP to look at my basal body temperature graph with me 😂.
wishing you all the luck that this is your month!

Have you been using natural cycles ovulation tests? I have an nothing happening but bbt rise.

I actually did another test this evening and it's even darker than last night so maybe my peak is tonight 🤔
Did you find the energy today? Sounds like you have every chance this month. Can't believe we'll be entering another TWW.

From what I’ve read, you ovulate 24-36 hours after your lh rise begins, and 6-24 hours after you peak. So your latest test suggests (although nothing is certain as each body is different obviously) that you will probably ovulate between this evening and tomorrow evening.

OH has caught the kids cold 😥so have I, but I would push through! I know OH when he’s ill though and there’s no chance unless he makes a very fast recovery. I also don’t want to push it as I want ttc to be enjoyable and not me pressuring him (we’re only on cycle two after all). So I suspect we are done for dtd.

I got my peak today, so suspect O day is tomorrow. Wish we could dtd the cover all bases for the next two days, but not much I can do about that!

oh and yes! Thankfully we dtd before he started to feel ill. So we dtd 4- 3- 2- and 1- so we covered the most important days, but still a shame not to dtd on O day and 1dpo.

Hey girls!
I got my static smiley face and my peak on OKP last night, but I've had really late nights in work this week so we've only DTD Sunday and Monday 😭 I'm worried we've left it too late now but I wonder is it worth trying tonight? Typical... my busiest week in work in ages 😭

Definitively still worth doing it! They say dtd for two days after the lh peak.

You ovulate anywhere between 6-48 hours after your positive test. An egg then can last between 12-24 hours. So worst case, you ovulated over night and the eggs already over, but equally you might not even ovulate until tomorrow and then have another 24 hours window after that! I would dtd tonight and tomorrow if you can.

@Applesandcake are you dtd every day? We usually go every other day from about day 10 to ovulation (usually day 15). We conceived our daughter that way and it's what the gynae has recommended for us this time round too.
We had an accidental pregnancy last year where we only dtd once that month 3 days before ovulation (it was ectopic though).
I get ovulation pains so I can generally pinpoint ovulation pretty well. I'm still doing opks though as I find it reassuring to see the line getting darker at the same time every cycle.

Yeah, we just dtd every day in the fertile window if we can. This worked for us with our first two who I conceived on the second cycle both times, so hoping it works again this time. I also got pregnant by accident in the spring from a one off 4/5 days before ovulation, so evidently every day isn’t essential, but everything I’ve read says as long as the sperm count is ok, every day still results in more sperm floating around (it’s just not dramatically more than dtd every other day and if the male any issues with sperm production, dtd every other day is better).

If I’m not pregnant this cycle (cycle 2), I might try playing around with it though. SMEP or the purple plan. We’ll see.

@Pololol thank you. I think waiting with you all over the next two weeks is really going to help. At the very least, odds are someone in this thread will get the bfp and we can all cheer for them even if it's not our turn. ❤️

Aww that’s a nice way of thinking of it. Yes, if there’s 9 of us in this thread and 1 in 4 will conceive each month, that means odds say at least 2 should get positives!

Applesandcake · 18/01/2024 07:55

(posting here also…)

After 6 days of flashing I finally have a static smile face this morning! Plus a positive cheapy. The flashing just started way too soon this month for some reason. It’s burnt us out to be honest! Not sure how we will find the energy to dtd anymore! I will make sure we will today and tomorrow but light have to skip the final day on Saturday.

If I don’t conceive this cycle, I don’t know what I’ll do in terms of trusting the flashy next month…

TTTC24 · 17/01/2024 16:09

yes, I hope we see some bfps here this month!!🤞 I’m now 2DPO and trying not to symptom spot. Although I’m failing, I’m checking to see what my symptoms were when I was pregnant with my first to see what to expect on what days 🙈

@JunkJane so sorry to hear about your miscarriages, wishing you so much luck for this time around. I know of others who’ve had success with progesterone after losses, so am keeping my fingers crossed that it works for you! 💛

JunkJane · 17/01/2024 11:51

Looks like I'm part of this crowd. CD16 today with peak ovulation on test strip and egg white CM. We dtd CD14 and plan for tonight and tomorrow as well. We've been TTC for over 2 years with 3 miscarriages, but this is the first time I've joined once of these threads. It's nice feeling the support of others on a similar journey.

I was given a prescription of progesterone after my last miscarriage in November. I'm planning to start taking it from 3DPO.

@Applesandcake which tests are you using? The one step are very faint for me but easy@home very dark

I am using the rubbish one step ones, which I know give people very faint lines often, but I’ve been using them no probably for a few cycles before ttc and I get properly dark positives on them. I will invest in the easy at home ones next month, but it’s odd that these suddenly have been so blank!

day 6 of the flashy smiley! Cheapies are slowly getting darker. Need my peak to come!

Confusedddddddd · 17/01/2024 10:59

Ovulating this morning (ie getting ovulation pain!).

Not got my hopes up too much. Can't dtd til DH gets back late tonight. Last time we did was a couple of days ago.
I did get pregnant with my ectopic from dtd 3 days before so I guess it's still possible but im in cycle 7 now and losing hope.
