15dpo BFN withdrawal method

Hello

just looking for advice or stories from others really. My OH and I are planning on TTC this year.

last month was let’s say a “warm up” month where we used the withdrawal method. Yes I know this isn’t conception. A baby would be very welcomed.

i also know chances of conception from withdrawal method are slim.

however my period is now 2 days late (15dpo). No sign of her coming except cramps. I always spot the day before and nothing. 2 BFN (yesterday when period due and today). Came off the pill last July and been like clockwork with 28 day cycles on the nose.

what’s going on?! Would I have a BFP by now if I really was pregnant?

Sickness can delay it. To be honest, it could be delayed just because! Even if you have regular periods, there's always a chance it could be out at least one month.

Thanks all I deffo will. I’ve spent hours (days 🤦🏼‍♀️) on here reading posts that are pages long with no update and it’s frustrating lol so I deffo will.

what things delay ovulation?! I know stress can. Haven’t particularly been stressed. If anything the opposite as time off work over Xmas etc. I did have a cold and a 24hr sickness thing tho over Xmas / NY 🤔

@rainbow616 thank you for replying ! I plan on testing Mon / Tues again if no AF. That’ll make me 4-5 days late !

You could have ovulated later. I would wait a few days and test again 😊

@iwasgonnasay yeah I just want a BFP or AF so I know where I’m at. I have seen / read about people getting late BFPs though?! I’ll likely do another test in a couple days if still no AF!

@Rosiiee thanks for replying. Typical isn’t when I want to get on with TTC Mother Nature throws a rouge cycle at me!

@iwasgonnasay i was on the pill for about a year until July. After that condoms literally until last month. Periods returned within 4 weeks of stopping the pill and have been very regular since.

Were you on the pill before? Or any other contraceptive other than withdrawal or condoms? As it took a while for mine to settle after I came off the pill when TTC

I’d say if your period is late then yes, a test would be positive by now. It’s probably just randomly late this month.
