Can you see a faint line?

I’ve been TTC for 2.5 years and I think I see a faint line on my HCG test but I can’t tell if I’m just getting desperate, I can only see it in certain angles and I’m not sure if that’s just how it always looks

I wish you all the best with it!

TTCIVF123 · 19/01/2024 18:30

@TheShellBeach I did, and I came to the realisation that I was seeing what I wanted to see, the line was only visible in certain lights so I’m guessing it was a shadow causing the line. But keeping my spirits up! I’ll be doing IVF in the next couple of months so fingers crossed that all goes well. Thank you for checking in!

OP, how are you getting on? Did you test again?

User0311 · 14/01/2024 13:38

I can also see it! Without squinting too!

TheShellBeach · 14/01/2024 13:34

The digital tests are often negative in very early pregnancy. They're not very sensitive.

As you don't know when you ovulated, a FRER would be your best bet.

TTCIVF123 · 14/01/2024 13:30

So just an update, I can still see a faint line but I’m now wondering if it’s a reflection on the evaporation line as I can only see it in certain angles. I may get an early detection digital test, does anyone know if it would be too early to test?

I can see it but those easy @ home tests are a nightmare for shadows. They are quite dark pink so a proper line should have some shade of pink in it. Test again with FMU and see what comes up!

@BeingATwatItsABingThing I was thinking the same thing, I did a test strip with water and could see the evaporation line but it looked a little different to the actual test line, just wandering if I’m seeing what I want to see 🤦🏻‍♀️

I know how you feel. When I was TTC DD2, I saw lines continually. It was a long 13 months!

TTCIVF123 · 13/01/2024 16:04

@TheShellBeach thanks for your help, I’ll definitely be testing over the next few days

Who are you answering?

Quornflakegirl · 13/01/2024 15:49

I see a faint line!

TheShellBeach · 13/01/2024 15:49

@DearDarcy that's a very good line for 10dpo!

DearDarcy · 13/01/2024 15:46

Hi ladies, I’m new to this thread but have been a member of others for the last couple of weeks! Hoping to get any opinions good or bad!

I am 10 days DPO all the pregnancy symptoms apart from sickness, had pink discharge when I wiped 2 days ago but that’s all I’ve had! AF is due Tuesday so I randomly did a test today and had this very faint line… just wondering if anyone can see this or I have line eyes!

X

I definitely see a line, fingers crossed for you.

TTCIVF123 · 13/01/2024 13:13

@legalseagull When I went back to look at it after an hour, I feel like it’s faded and I can’t really see it, did yours stay pretty faint? Even if this is not the one, it’s good to know I’m not losing my mind!

Yes, they stayed faint. I went and got a digital test the same day and it showed as 2-3 weeks which made it all very real!

TheShellBeach · 13/01/2024 13:41

Without knowing where you are in relation to DPO it's hard to know whether to offer congratulations or not.
I realise you can't answer that, OP.

The only thing you can do is test tomorrow and on subsequent days, and see if the line is getting darker.

Cas112 · 13/01/2024 13:38

I see it

I can see it OP! Fingers crossed

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 13/01/2024 13:27

I can see it but I can’t tell if it has colour or could be an evap.

Daniki · 13/01/2024 13:24

Yep I see it and i didn't have to squint or anything 😂

TheShellBeach · 13/01/2024 13:23

I can see a faint line, OP.
Wishing you luck.

TTCIVF123 · 13/01/2024 13:17

@chickenrunmum this was my FMU I thought I saw a faint line last night so tested again this morning. Ahhh I don’t know I’m so confused, I’ll keep testing every morning to see if it gets darker
