@Sarah452 that’s looking super hopeful congratulations!! ✨
I’m still getting a bfn. Not due till Monday but getting disheartened now 😂

Racket81 · 13/01/2024 11:14

Sorry bout bold typing I kept changing it but it kept reverting. Technology not my strong point.

Racket81 · 13/01/2024 11:12

@BeautyAndTheBump1 that'sa very clear line congratulations and @Sarah452 congratulations fingers crossed for you both . Welcome to the newbies too. I'm 3dpo no signs or symptoms yet.

Sandwichesandwine · 13/01/2024 09:36

@Sarah452 early congratulations! Hope you see some good progression in the coming days!💞
So AF yesterday was an anti climax and nothing actually arrived. Its definitely on its way but ive never had spotting before my MC- she just arrived and that was it. Do I wait for a more steady flow before counting it as day one of next cycle?
@Puddingpie1234 fingers crossed for a good news update if you test again in the morning 🤞🏻🤞🏻
@MrsP20202 that's so interesting and helpful! (I just did an OPK to check I'm right about spotting being AF above and I am!) Xx

MrsP20202 · 13/01/2024 09:04

@Sarah452 congratulations babe ! 😍!!!!

for everyone wanting to know about opks and pregnancy this was my opks when I found out I was pregnant with my son, you can see the test line steals colour from the control line, I did ask the midwife when I saw her and she explained to me that the lh strips if pregnant will show a positive as it can’t tell the difference from a lh surge to hcg but the lh strip does have to be as dark or darker then the control line to be a positive. A lot of women will get a surge before a period also but it won’t be as dark as the control line, hope this helps people :) I test with opks since my son as it’s just cheaper then roughly £8 for 1 pregnancy test if I get a strong positive on cheapie opks then I know to get a test

@Puddingpie1234 thank you! I don’t want to get your hopes up but I was 8dpo yesterday and the same thing happened to me yesterday morning ! I then did another test early eve (which is the one I posted yesterday) I just tried not to drink much/wee for 3 hours before taking it. Keeping everything crossed for you!!

Puddingpie1234 · 13/01/2024 08:39

Ah congratulations @Sarah452 🥰🥰🥰 wishing you a happy & healthy pregnancy x

Puddingpie1234 · 13/01/2024 08:38

So being new to all this , I thought you had to throw away the test after 3 minutes, so got on with my morning.
I then later read that you should check for up to 10 minutes on the instructions, whoops.
Checked the test again after around 45 minutes and it’s definitely positive so now I’m in 2 minds. I’m very aware that it could be an evap line however !! Will keep you posted either way 🥲

Sarah452 · 13/01/2024 08:31

Thank you ladies took more tests this morning, clear lines on both albeit faint (CB is hard to see on camera) 9dpo. Realise it’s really early days so don’t want to get too excited though! Fingers crossed to everyone who hasn’t found out yet!

Sorry to hear that @Sandwichesandwine ❤️

I caved & took a test this morning @ 8PO… BFN!

RW269 · 12/01/2024 22:37

@Sarah452 oh my goodness !! Look at that! Got all my fingers crossed for the morning for you! ✨

@Sandwichesandwine Awwh I’m so sad to hear that for you , enjoy a glass of wine! Soon be your time sending love!

Sarah452 · 12/01/2024 20:53

@Sandwichesandwine I’m sorry that’s really rubbish. I hope you’ve cracked the wine open, make the most of it whilst you can still drink it!!

thanks ladies, I’ll take another test in the morning and pray it’s an obvious positive!

Sandwichesandwine · 12/01/2024 18:42

@Sarah452 I can definitely see something but I wouldn't like to say whether start of a line or evap. Do you have another test you can take first thing in the morning? I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
AF arrived this afternoon 😔😢 I've had an awful day at work too. So just feeling mighty sorry for myself at this point. On a post Christmas health kick so trying not to be drawn into wine- but the night is young so I might not manage to resist the whole evening 🙄
Sending lots and lots of luck to everyone still in with a chance this month. Xx

Puddingpie1234 · 12/01/2024 18:39

Yes sounds like it !! I have everything crossed for you!!!!
My willpower is not going to hold out much longer at this rate 🤞🏻

Sarah452 · 12/01/2024 18:17

It’s the easy at home tests that came with OPK. It says for early detection so presume early response?

Puddingpie1234 · 12/01/2024 18:08

Was this on a normal test or an early response?

Puddingpie1234 · 12/01/2024 18:03

Oh @Sarah452 I can definitely see something but I wouldn’t want to get your hopes up. I’m new here so don’t know much about evaps!
i think the only thing is to wait until tomorrow and hopefully it’s a bit clearer!!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Sarah452 · 12/01/2024 17:47

I decided to do another test this eve and now wish I hadn’t.. is this an evap/ident? It’s hard to capture on camera (more visible in real life) and came up in time.. it’s the bottom test - top is from this morning was trying to compare, the line is roughly under where the line is on the test 😂)

AF arrived for me on Wed and before that my lh tests were pretty high as well, I had no idea that happened, apparently it can be due to progesterone drop... I also use opks for pregnancy, in all 3 pregnancies last year I had positive opks on dpo 9-10, but with last cycle, now I can't even use opks anymore 😞

TrainIsMoving · 12/01/2024 17:38

Congrats @BeautyAndTheBump1 , that's a nice line, hoping for a happy and healthy pregnancy

mumto1girlie · 12/01/2024 16:05

@BeautyAndTheBump1 thats a solid line! massive congrats to you, so many positives in this post! for those who haven’t had their bfp yet i hope it comes for you girls soon xxx

Sarah452 · 12/01/2024 14:45

@BeautyAndTheBump1 i’m so excited for you, bet you can’t wait for DH to get back!

that line progression is incredible in the space of a few hours too !!

@Puddingpie1234 possibly although it feels like the cramps I used to get shortly before AF arrived pre pregnancy. My post pregnancy cycles I’ve weirdly had cramping around ovulation (which I never used to get) then nothing and then AF would turn up with no warning. This cycle I’ve just been cramping ever since ovulation but honestly who knows! I have a really short luteal phase so was actually due on yesterday even though only 8/9dpo hence I’ve been testing already knowing full well it will be negative 🤦‍♀️

@lillywolf my first month OPK and I used the easy at home tests (brought from Amazon) there is a free app which interprets the results. I also brought the clear blue digital tests but didn’t use them this month, it seems a lot of people use the cheap easy at home tests and then start using the clear blue when their levels rise. Although like I say it’s my first month so may be completely off!

lillywolf · 12/01/2024 14:37

Hi everyone, I've been quietly reading your thread for the last week and wanted to join you today :) and it's so great to see so many here getting there BFP this month!

I'm a total newbie to TTC – we've been trying for ca. 4 months now but been very disorganised until now. I think I'm 10DPO today (i don't think i used the OPK properly), and the past 2 weeks I've felt really different – tight ache in my abdomen and my boobs have been achy – but I feel like I'm just making it all up tbh.

Because I'm a planner, I've tested 3 times already and all three were a BFN... so I reckon I'll get my period as planned on Monday :(

I really want to start ovulation tracking properly... is there any specific ones you recommend? Thank you :)

BeautyAndTheBump1 · 12/01/2024 14:34

Thankyou so much to everyone for your congratulations! I took another test this afternoon in hopes there would still be a line so I could tell DH when he's home from work and the line looks darker. I hope its a sticky baby 🥹🤞 my main symptoms for anyone wondering were cramping every day since ovulation! Then I've had nausea and been very mardy the last 2-3 days 😂

@Sarah452 maybe implantation?
everyones symptoms are so so different!! Keep us posted 🤞🏻have you been TTC for a while?
AF isn’t due until next Friday/Saturday so feel like it would just be a complete waste of time right now... I’ll keep you posted if I decide to do a test.
