@Racket81 domt be disheartened! i had a loss in april and got my bfp on monday. keep faith and everything crossed for you x

MrsP20202 · 14/01/2024 10:36

@iwasgonnasay if you wanted to avoid pregnancy using an app for contraception is not the way to go the app is not 100% and yes it does take sometimes just 1 time, the month I gave up trying me and hubby dtd once and I fell pregnant with my son. Try not to stress or feel scared you sound like you have a good family support plus a sibling for ds is amazing I have a 3 year old and soon to be 2 year old the bond they have is so lovely to watch 🥰

all these positives 😍 congratulations
@Catren93 so happy for you ! With them tests they are 25ml not early detection if your getting lines on them you should get a clear blue positive ! 😍 doesn’t look like an evap or indent at all !

Racket81 · 14/01/2024 09:32

Congratulations @Catren93 def a line. I also had a MC in July at 7 weeks. Been trying 2 years so this gives me hope thay you have conceived when ypu lost at same time as me. Sorry you had to go through that. I'm 42 so I guess it's a long shot but just keeping trying. However both my boys were born in September so if I conceive this month will be another September.🤣

mumto1girlie · 14/01/2024 08:31

congratulations @Catren93 x

Puddingpie1234 · 14/01/2024 07:46

Aww congratulations @Catren93 ❤️

Catren93 · 14/01/2024 07:13

@Sarah452 thank you that’s kind of you 💚
eek that’s amazing!! September babies for us

Sarah452 · 14/01/2024 07:06

@Catren93 I am so sorry, I have everything crossed for a healthy pregnancy for you!

yes, it’s still so early days for me (10dpo) so will continue testing daily, this mornings was darker again which is positive 🤞 🤞

Catren93 · 14/01/2024 06:56

@Sarah452 I’m 12dpo currently. I was pregnant back in summer last year but lost the pregnancy at 11 weeks as it was a partial molar pregnancy. So there’s a lot of worry in the back of my mind but trying to not let it overshadow the probability things will be fine, fingers crossed. How about you?
I saw your lines by the way congrats! Are you retesting at all?

Sarah452 · 14/01/2024 06:52

@Catren93 is this your first baby? Do you know how many days pass ovulation you are? Exciting! Congrats ❤️

Catren93 · 14/01/2024 06:48

@Sarah452 i can’t believe it 🥰
Oh yes it certainly is, he’s a cheeky little boy but he’s adorable, feels like I have to have eyes in the back of my head to keep him out of trouble haha

Sarah452 · 14/01/2024 06:36

@Catren93 no that’s a definite line! Congratulations!! I remember the puppy days well he was harder work than my first baby for the first 6 weeks 😆

Catren93 · 14/01/2024 06:31

Morning all. Congrats I see there’s been more BFPs!! This threads amazing. To anyone who hasn’t had theirs yet I hope you do soon 🥰.
Any advice ladies? I’m thinking retest tomorrow and see if it’s looking it’s darker. When I’ve done these test previously I’ve never had indents/evaps they’ve just been stark white?
what are your thoughts ladies? Am I just going crazy from lack of sleep from having a puppy terrorising me? 😂

iwasgonnasay · 13/01/2024 21:06

I'm in the tww which I really shouldn't be as definitely am as far away as being in a position to have a 2nd as you can be - DTD without protection ONCE (NYE/one too many etc) O was supposedly 5th Jan so thought we're fairly safe. Took nearly a year when TTC number 1 so had this self assured feeling it would be nearly impossible to conceive after one quickie.
But I think I ovulated before the app says. Because within days of that night my boobs were agony. They never hurt until a couple days before AF which is due 20/01. So I noticed immediately when my son hugged too hard and they felt bruised. They've since been getting bigger and bigger... they're never big. They sunk after DS. But now they're full and hard and I brush them accidentally just moving my arms so I'm overly aware without meaning to be. I keep thinking (hoping) of something else it could be? No reason for an infection so why would they suddenly be swelling and painful so soon before AF! If we're pregnant we'll embrace it but we're living with family right now so it means a whole upheaval and back to renting which we didn't want to do. Not the end of the world and totally our fault for being so silly! But a real eye opener as to how one time really could be all it takes when you're not trying 😳 I was quite excited when I first realised but now it's feeling quite scary!
(hope no one gets offended by this, I spent a year on here watching all the BFN and BFPs and SS during the TWW so I know it's hard when you're trying, just needed a head clear in a safe space)

Sarah452 · 13/01/2024 19:50

I@siobhanmt247 the reviews for the cheap one step ultra early on Amazon say they don’t really show progression very well and to use another brand - I suspect they must be similar to the home bargains ones you have!

Sarah452 · 13/01/2024 19:49

I highly recommend the easy at home early pregnancy tests for cheap ones (£9.99 for 20 or 16.99 for 40) they picked up a positive for me yesterday at 8dpo (evening) and today 9dpo there was a clear line, I also have the cheap ‘one step’ ultra early from Amazon and the line on there is so faint it’s questionnable/looks like an evap, a clear blue early test also picked up a line today - not sure if it would have yesterday as line isn’t as bold as easy at home. I think the easy at home ones show the progression well too based on the reviews.

for anyone still waiting - my results will have shown early as I presume I must implant very early (I have a very short luteal phase of about 7 days) hence it probably picked it up so early. Just praying it sticks 🙏

Racket81 · 13/01/2024 18:38

@Kofifi congratulations.x

siobhanmt247 · 13/01/2024 17:51

@MrsP20202 thank you. I was wondering that. I guess there's a reason they're so cheap!

MrsP20202 · 13/01/2024 17:46

@siobhanmt247 i used a cheap home bargains test with my daughter in 2019 it made me panic because it never was dark but I then took a cheap Tesco one which was really dark I wouldn’t worry with the home bargains ones I think they are crap just for reassurance I never used the home bargain brand again xxx

siobhanmt247 · 13/01/2024 15:22

Is anyone using the cheap home bargains tests? Do the lines get quite dark. I'm worried mine are getting fainter

mumto1girlie · 13/01/2024 14:07

@Sarah452 oh really? yeah i’m sure it’s supposed to be 8 weeks. i had an email to say if i haven’t heard from them by 8 weeks to ring and book! i had a MC last year and hadn’t had my booking appt but i had a scan as i was 9 weeks but lost baby at 5 xx

Sarah452 · 13/01/2024 13:42

@mumto1girlie it was the same for my first (self referral) they didn’t actually get in touch until I was gone 8 weeks !! Pretty sure I was 9 and a bit weeks for my booking appointment and I think it’s meant to be at 8 weeks?!

Sarah452 · 13/01/2024 13:41

@Racket81 everything crossed for you!!

@Kofifi love this 😍 congratulations!!

Sandwichesandwine · 13/01/2024 13:21

@Kofifi beautiful progression 🥰 xx

mumto1girlie · 13/01/2024 13:14

@Kofifi thats such good like progression! i tested on 16dpo and 17dpo for mine and they were so light to start with! i’m now 5 weeks today and patiently waiting for the midwife to contact me back with the booking appt, it was a self referral 🫣

Kofifi · 13/01/2024 12:41

Progression from 10dpo, 11dpo and now 13 dpo. I think i can count that as a BFP!

If anyone is symptom spotting, I had a really distinct and weird pain left of my stomach on 4dpo and very bloated.

My garmin heart rate and stress level has also been climbing! Usually i am around 56-59 and around 7dpo it went up to 61 and has stayed up.

Good luck to you all!
