@Ella31 so sorry to hear about your twins..that's heartbreaking. They've such a brave momma.
Hopefully it's just too early this cycle yet and get your bfp
I'm also in Ireland

Hey, good luck to you all! I'm kind of in the two week wait, but it's complicated as I had a miscarriage 2 weeks ago so actually have no idea what day I am on my cycle or anything. Midwife said we could try again as soon as I felt ready didn't have to wait for my period so we're just going for it!

this 2 weeks or more is going to be torture! I would have been over 12weeks by now if I hadn't lost our baby so it's hard starting all over again!

I'm in a similar situation@Bey
So have just gone for it without waiting for AF🤞
I also would have been 12 weeks now

I got a positive OPK today. This is cycle 3 or 4 (not sure if to count my first bleed after coming off the pill as period or not). TTC baby number 2. I've already got a 17 month old DS. I hate the TWW so much. I get really impatient and test stupidly early, even though every time I promise myself I won't, ahaha.

This is why I might be not getting peaks, I’m testing just as I get home from work so like 5.30pm. Unfortunately not so easy for me to test at work.

I work in a busy public job, so what I do is I have a little makeup bag with the stick and those pee cups , plastic ones, you can get them on amazon. Really small and flimsy but do the trick. Hop into bathroom on your lunch break if you can.

Fermometer are brilliant, j swear by them for testing, what I would suggest though is when they start to get dark - use the purple clear blue ones..

Are you testing at the right times too. Mid afternoon is best

Forgot to add, your tracking app is only as accurate as is the information you put into it. Focus on the opks first and record your findings , but don't go by the app only. I use fermometer religiously and I've got pregnant twice using it, but I don't take pics of the tests. I literally test my ovulation around lunchtime each day, and when it starts getting darker and you will notice it - I start using clearblue advanced. Clearblue advance tells you your peak day

MrsRandallFraser · 03/01/2024 18:24

@Ella31 I’ve the ones that work the Femometer app, just off Amazon. It came with some pregnancy tests in too. Just did one of those and it was a BFN but one of my tracking apps is telling me it’s too early to test and to wait another week 🤷🏼‍♀️ it’s still only cycle #2 for us so I’m not too disheartened yet!

I know exactly what you mean, it’s so bloody hard to gauge it, isn’t it. Best of luck!

I have just started the book after watching the show - huge Fleetwood Mac fan anyway, but ah I just loved it 😊

@Ella31 I didn’t know that about the FRER! Thank you for mentioning it, that’s usually my go to after an Amazon one!

I only realised it after I couldn't get a single one here in Ireland in any pharmacy or through amazon Ireland. When I researched why, a lot of posters said they have been recalled.

They were always my go to as well and were perfect when I conceived my twins but since then, no luck getting one.

Kofifi · 03/01/2024 18:31

@Ella31 - so sorry to hear about what happened.

@MrsRandallFraser if you don't have opks then you could consider temping to confirm if you ovulated. I find it very useful.

I'm 4dpo and having the weirdest pain deep in my belly. And very bloated. But I guess that could be anything.

Thanks for the reply @DaisyJones6 (side note, I literally finished reading Daisy Jones and the Six two days ago). I might take a cheapy test when I get home then :) I'm in that hopeful place where I can convince myself I am pregnant until AF says otherwise but a BFN on a test would take all that hope away if that makes sense.

I may or may not be...have had irregular cycles since coming off the pill a few months ago...a 38 day cycle followed by a 24 day cycle. Can't seem to catch the peak on OPKs but think I may have ovulated around Christmas Eve so might be 10DPO, but if it's another short cycle, I'm closer to 14DPO... I haven't got any early response tests, so not really sure when to test using a normal one? Any advice?

What OPK's are you using?

I could be wrong but the FRER are notorious at the moment for indents, just to give you a heads up. You can't get any in Ireland where I am at the mo. But boots cheapies are supposed to good and maybe a digital if you get two lines on those

I would test now using an Amazon cheapy x

@Ella31 I'm so sorry you had to go through that, wishing you lots of luck for this cycle you deserve it!!

Thanks @HolyMoly24 , pretty sure my af is coming, I've back pain for a few days now. Just haven't a clue when as I haven't had a period for months

Can I join ye ladies? Bit of my backstory

I lost my twin boys at 29 weeks - 2 months ago. One stillborn my other son died 4 days later. I'm trying again and currently 8dpo. Have back pain and sore breasts so feel like my period is coming. Feeling quite sad to think it's a period. Hoping I'll get another bpf soon. Started testing today and was a bfn. Gutted as my positive with my twins was 8/9 dpo.

I’m so sorry to read this, how absolutely heartbreaking 😢

DaisyJones6 · 03/01/2024 15:34

Hey everyone, Happy New Year 🥳

Im 43, husband 38 and we are trying for our second baby together (I have a daughter of 12 and he has another son of 11) …

This is our third cycle trying. I’m worrying because of my age and whether I’m in perimenopause, but still hopeful that I’m not.

Today I’m 7dpo and it’s usually the day I start testing. But I’m being good and leaving it until Friday morning to start.

Had strong ovulation pains this cycle and even a little spotting, which I have never had before. My boobs are tender, gums a bit sore and I am craving tea constantly (usually a coffee drinker!) so I’m hopeful this may be it ❤️

Heyyy! I’m 40 with DC5. We caught straight away with DD. We only DTD once but think it was just before ovulation. Who knows 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’m supposed to be 6DPO today. How we all feeling? I’m so run down with a virus since New Year’s Eve.

glovepillow22 · 03/01/2024 12:50

Hi, we officially started TTC this month for the first time although it's tricky as DH works away for 5 weeks at a time.
We just missed my ovulation (managed to DTD on the 1st and according to flo I ovulate on the 5th but I have had some ovulation pains this week so really not too sure where I am tbh, don't want to go down the OPK route just yet). We miss February as he is away so can try again in March. Its terrifying and exciting all in one!

HolyMoly24 · 03/01/2024 12:37

I'm 1 dpo today, it's going to be a long TWW!

Good luck and baby dust to everyone! Hoping to see lots of BFP's here
