@Ella31 do you use the pink or the purple clearblue ones? Think I might get some for next cycle

Just to add for those who haven't used opk's before. Test in the afternoon, not fmu, it's not the same as pregnancy tests. Also hold off drinking or peeing for a few hours before hand. I usually test around lunch time.

@DaisyJones6 Daisy, I use fermometer cheapies and advanced clearblue. I use the cheapies first and when the line gets darker, I introduce the clearblue.

I've been very successful with them. Got pregnant twice in a row using them. Femometer you can get on amazon and cost 14 euro for pack of 40 whereas its like 50 euro for 20 pack clearbkue advanced, hence why I introduce them once ferometer starts darkening.

@HolyMoly24 Oh no! I had a bad batch once, never ever got a test line on them. So frustrating!

I'm using the clear blue pink opk's, the one that just gives you a static smiley on your peak day. I like these as there's no ambiguity over darkness of lines etc but they are pricey.

Although today I realised the ones I used were all out of date by about a year!!

Hopefully the result it gave me is still valid. It seemed to line up with my EWCM.

I've had to update my stock of ovulation sticks and tests today as realised they were all out of date from when we were going to try back in 2021 but changed our mind.

Whenever I have been ttc I have started testing at 7dpo, which is ridiculous! 🤣 With my daughter I did get my bfp at 9dpo and my son I was 12dpo.

Another negative this morning. Only 9dpo though.

So, this is only our third month of trying and I think if I don’t fall this time, that next month I need to get some opk tests - what does everyone use? I’ve only ever used the cheap Amazon sticks in the past.

My friend said it impacted her ovulation date when she was tracking. Hopefully will be okay for you though as i think it's different for different people

Thanks @Wonderpants3 , I'm trying not to sit and Google everything and end up down a rabbit hole already. Nothing we can do now but wait and see I guess, and rest up. Did it alter you following cycle at all?

I had it earlier on in my cycle and googled everything but nothing solid. Just lots of people saying it CAN affect it, I ovulated late which I’m contributing to having it

Well I'm 2dpo and my DH and I have just got a bfp COVID test. Not the bfp we wanted this month that's for sure. Not sure what the impact is on conception, anyone know?

I’ve already failed and tested haven’t I but I’m going to TRY and wait until the 12th 12DPO. I don’t have hope

I'm going to wait until day 14 as I tested negative 9 days po with my last pregnancy then went on to test positive a few days later when my period hadn't arrived so I'm going to try and wait. Although due to miscarriage and not having a period and not tracking ovulation I really think we've missed the window this month

Trying to hold out to 14dpo, I tested at 9dpo with my first, BFN, gave up hope and then felt weird at 14dpo and tested BFP. So holding on until then, had some cramping today but really trying not to symptom spot. Have promised DH that if not pregnant this month I’m going to take a break from OPKs for a few months as I get very worked up about my Peak being so late!

I'm dpo 6 today. No symptoms whatsoever since ovulation 🤷🏻‍♀️ not keeping my hopes up for this cycle.
It's end of year 1 ttc, I had 3 losses last year, so hoping I can get pregnant in the next few months before we try IVF (low AMH)

I think the one you are talking about though - the pink one? Still stays live for 2 days even when it disappears as it assumes you will ovulate the next day. It has a 48 hour reset

I use these too, and I get two days of static smiley. I take it to mean the second day is officially O day but I dtd both days and a few times in the run up

@Ella31 it isn't the fertility one with the flashing/static smileys, just the bog standard ovulation kit so it just gives you a static smiley face for the LH peak or an empty circle otherwise. The smiley face always goes after a few mins. But I always get 2 days of the smiley face xx

Was going to suggest ladies, for those that don't get their bfp or do get it and need the support in the early weeks , I'd love to keep this thread going as a support. It's definitely helped me in the last few days. Crossing my fingers for all of ye.

Thanks @DaisyJones6 , I literally cried all day, then did some housework, had a healthy dinner, took my pre natal vitamins and put on my big girl pants and said "right Ella31, healthy mindset for next month" I'm back to the gym on Saturday too, so the least I can do is keep busy and hope for end of January when ovulation rocks around again.

@DaisyJones6 don't lose hope..you are only out when AF comes and tbh. Every woman's symtoms are different. My first loss I had no systoms, second I was sick as a dog and in my third pregnancy with my boys, my boobs were on fire. Point is, we are all different. Really hoping this is your bfp. Keep us updated.

Flashing smiley or static? Either one will stay like that for 48 hours regardless so even if you test again. It will come up positive until 48 hours have passed.

Will try and wait until 14/15 dpo when AF may be due (a little irregular so not an easy date to know), but I expect I'll take a test the second family that are visiting leave on 11 dpo. I don't think it's a good idea to test at 9 dpo with them staying all weekend either way.

DH wants me to wait til missed period but I'm not sure I'll make it!
