Hey everyone, just catching up on all of the posts - lovely to see new people joining ❤️

I’m 13dpo today. I didn’t test this morning as I’m just feeling really meh about it. Yesterday was a bfn of course. I’ve had so many symptoms this month, so have been disappointed.

I know I’m not out until my period arrives though.. but whenever I’ve had a bfp it’s been around 10dpo.

We shall see.

Busy at home today painting after my husband has plastered the living room. We only moved a few months ago and the house needs SO much work. Previous owners had used glitter paint everywhere, diamontes everywhere (including IN BETWEEN EACH BATHROOM TILE!) 🤦🏼‍♀️😫

hope you get your bfp soon! its the whole stuck in limbo waiting out takes its toll but good that you have the focus of your awful walls to distract you! lots of luck coming your way x

Thanks @MrsRandallFraser! I’m tempted to stop tracking OPKs etc and just DTD every other day too, it might take the stress off too and stop me stressing over tracking everything. Great point about being 35 nearly and being able to see GP, too! Glad we can be AF buddies and looking forward to seeing you on the next thread :)

MrsRandallFraser · 09/01/2024 07:08

@Daisychain27 sorry AF is here. My cycles have been all over the place since I came off the pill in October. If I count that first bleed as a period then my cycles have been 38, 24, 27. I’m also 34 and went on the pill for endo but before that my periods counted as regular at 28-31 days. I am tracking with OPKs but because of the above we are just DTD all the time basically. Every other day from when my period stops.

The only silver lining is that I’m 35 next month, so if nothing happens soon at least I can go and talk to the GP in 6 months rather than waiting a year which isn’t a big consolation but something. In the meantime we can be cycle buddies as AF arrived Sunday night for me so I’m a few days ahead of you.

Daisychain27 · 09/01/2024 07:06

@Sarah452 thanks so much for this, I really appreciate it. That is such a good point about ovulation, I am definitely ovulating, I’ve been tracking things for a few years years and I’ve only had annovulatory cycles a few times and not for a while. This month I had a really high LH and good temp rise and it was just really obvious. So I guess cycle length doesn’t really matter when you’re ovulating and tracking it? It just means you have to track it a bit harder than if you were as regular as clockwork?

I don’t have PCOS officially but I have been tested before and my results were borderline. I have gotten a bit more hairy since so I am wondering if I’ve tipped into it now! I’ve never considered Chinese medicine but I’d totally give it a go, thanks for the recommendation and so pleased it worked for you and your periods. I’ll try anything!

Sarah452 · 09/01/2024 06:52

I don’t think a 10 day luteal phase is concern in itself and if you’re confirming ovulation then the inconsistent length of cycle shouldn’t necessarily be either. Not sure why your periods are becoming inconsistent - stress? Do you have PCOS? I have PCOS, and I was having seldom irregular periods, I went to a traditional Chinese medicine doctor (not something I’d normally be in to to be frank but a friend managed to convince me as I didn’t want to pump more hormones in to me to regulate) a month of drinking some rank tea and my periods returned and have been on time to the day ever since (besides pregnancy/breastfeeding). Could possibly be worth considering? Sorry AF has shown up for you 😟

Daisychain27 · 09/01/2024 06:45

Hi guys, could do with a bit of a pep talk :(

AF is here. This means my cycle was only 26 days (it’s usually about 31/32) and my luteal phase was only about 10 days. I’ve looked back at my cycles have been 32, 29, 40, 30, 33, 27… then they stabilise, so it seems like my periods are becoming more irregular and my app is saying they are officially irregular now at 30 + or - 5 days.

I’m conscious of my age as well at 34, does the above sound like something to worry about? What would have caused my cycle to be this short? I’m even taking supplements so the fact my luteal phase was only 10 days concerns me! Sorry I don’t know if I’m being a drama queen or over panicking here, apologies if I am.

Sarah452 · 09/01/2024 06:44

How is everyone doing?

im 5DPO, this is really dragging! I ovulated really late this month (confirmed by OPK & CM) and so am actually due on on Thursday so suspect this month is out due to a short luteal phase. I’ve been cramping since ovulation 😩 I’m the most impatient person ever so would prefer AF to arrive early and put me out my misery 😂

Not doing anything different as I know my early mc's were just bad luck and so was the loss of my twins. I had a rare type of twins and unfortunately what could go bad, did in my final trimester. So I'm doing exactly what I did before I conceived them. Proceive prenatals, vitamin c and exercise. Also using concieve plus gel when dtd.

What about you? I'm sorry to hear about the blood clotting, but that sounds right with the aspirin and injections, so fingers crossed.

I am so sorry. I have everything crossed for you 🤞

Yes, I am on proceive, high strength vit d, ubiquinol, omega 3 and folic acid 5 mg. No clue if it makes any difference for someone with low ovarian reserve but I've read these supplements help so here we go. I thought I'd give it my best shot for few months.

mumto1girlie · 08/01/2024 21:12

@Gracie1825 thank you so much, i tested later with my first, so my lines were super dark, so cus this one looks so faint i wasn’t sure! sending everyone luck xxx

Can I join as well? Currently TTC #1 since October last year, so in the TWW of cycle 4 at the moment. We missed my peak last week though so not holding out much hope for this month.

I think my luteal phase is a bit short as well (about 11 days) so planning to start looking at taking supplements to try and increase it if no luck next month.

11 isn't short..that's what mine always was and I conceived 3 times with it. So don't worry.

TrainIsMoving · 08/01/2024 15:39

@Ella31 thank you and I'm so sorry 😞 words can't describe the pain.

Like you said, now I feel like all we can do is hope. I did some tests after my losses and found potential blood clotting issues but all the doctors said is it can be bad luck too and it's a numbers game... So I have some aspirin and injections to take when I get positive but until then I will keep trying and hoping something comes out of it.

Are you doing anything different or planning on doing anything different?

@mumto1girlie i think it was just not as strong a sample later in the day.. test again in the morning..you already had a positive so I'd shocked if that wasn't the case again first thing tomorrow x

mumto1girlie · 08/01/2024 18:27

@Liz2681 and @Hydrangea60 welcome both! the dreading tww is always the worst so i hope it goes by quickly for you both, sending lots of luck x

Hi everyone, do you mind if I join?

DH and I trying for baby #1 following miscarriages in Sept and Nov last year. Currently 7DPO and trying really hard not to let the TWW take over!

Looking forward to seeing everyone's positive updates on this thread 😊 x

mumto1girlie · 08/01/2024 17:50

@siobhanmt247 thanks so much will update in the morning x

siobhanmt247 · 08/01/2024 17:48

@mumto1girlie fingers crossed for you tomorrow morning

mumto1girlie · 08/01/2024 17:42

@Gracie1825 no this was my first test then i stupidly tested during the day and got negatives!

@siobhanmt247 its just a standard tesco test, then i used a clearblue and the other tesco test which both come back neg x

siobhanmt247 · 08/01/2024 17:27

@mumto1girlie that looks like a good line. Is this one early detection but the other not?

Gracie1825 · 08/01/2024 17:24

@mumto1girlie looks Positive to me. Did you use the same urine for clearblue are the tests the same sensitivity?

mumto1girlie · 08/01/2024 16:16

@HolyMoly24 i have another test, the clearblue was one of those + ones xx

@mumto1girlie I think you should pick up some more tests just to be sure. Was the clear blue a digital?

fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻
