Anyone ttc in 2024 after loss?

Lost my perfect little baby at the end of October. I was 15 weeks, baby was gone since 13 weeks. Planning to start ttc again in January. I am devastated and finding it hard to cope. Also extremely nervous about being pregnant again. Yet the need to have a living baby in my arms, outweighs the crippling fear. This little baby was my first too.

Hey @Hopingrae I'm doing ok, I should be ovulating over the next few days I can't use OPKs because I'm breastfeeding my toddler and they don't work. So hoping we are going to catch. I'll be starting the dreaded TWW from Wednesday.

so sorry to hear you have tested negative at 10 dpo, that's stilll early though, you're not out until AF appears 🤞🤞

Chaz693 · 21/01/2024 12:24

How long did it take for everyone's levels to go back to 0? First time in my life I've been sad to see a positive test still.

Well I have no will power and caved and did an internet cheapy at 8dpo its was negative no surprise and I know it’s early but still feel absolutely rubbish and so sad. My last two pregnancies I got pregnant first month, I’m just hoping my misscarriage at 16 weeks hasn’t made it impossible for us

When i was preg briefly - was then early miscarriage - it showed at 13 dpo

Gracie1825 · 21/01/2024 11:20

Well AF arrived. Emotional today but hoping I'll feel more positive soon. Good luck to all the other ladies still waiting

moosey89 · 21/01/2024 11:18

@Nic2908 please don't worry about your miscarriage harming your chances - there's been tons of research on it and it's been proven that one loss has no impact on getting pregnant again, and adds no more risk of miscarriage in your next pregnancy. Try to stay away from the tests until your period is due as it'll only make you feel worse multiple times xx

Hopingrae · 21/01/2024 10:01

@Nic2908 sorry it's made you feel sad. Give it a few more days and see what transpires. I got a negative this morning too at 10dpo and that also made me feel very sad and that I'm probably out this month. Think that combined with pmt symptoms is a bad combo! I hate hate hate that fertility is on a clock for us. Just feel like I'm running out of time and getting to a point where I don't want to start again with it all. I'm so tired of it. Hopefully if AF arrives on weds the hormones will bugger off and I'll feel better!!

@Bey how are you doing lovely?

Welcome newbies to the thread and wishing you all lots of luck with your journeys x

@123456789ss so sorry for your loss. I've had 2 missed miscarriages, first took 2.5 years to conceive, second 6 months (with a different partner). Currently in cycle 6 of trying again since the most recent loss in July. It took me 4 1/2 weeks for my period to come back after surgery. X

Hi all, just joining as had surgical management of missed miscarriage on Tuesday.
Physically feeling back to normal, but emotionally traumatised!!
I have a super strong need to conceive ASAP as at the moment I feel like I can't be happy until I'm pregnant again.
It took ages to conceive this one and I'm 39 this year so feeling the odds are against me 😞
How long has everyone been trying so far?
X

Welcome and so sorry 4 your loss

Hi ladies, thought I'd join. I'm currently going through my 3rd miscarriage. I have one son who I had after my last two miscarriages. We unexpectedly fell pregnant in December. I was surprised due to how long it took to have my son. But unfortunately today it was confirmed I am miscarrying again. We've always been on the fence about having another child due to our son being autistic and requiring a lot of care but as he's now older and we're in the swing of things it's something that's been on my mind. This last pregnancy has made it clear to me that I want another child. So now we're here about to start our TTC journey again! X

Welcome and so sorry to hear of your losses

Gracie1825 · 20/01/2024 18:26

@Chaz693 sorry for your loss, mind your self x

Gracie1825 · 20/01/2024 18:21

Welcome @123456789ss and sorry for your loss, I had a MMC mid December thought there was a chance I conceived straight away but just my body playing tricks on me. Now I'm just waiting for AF so I can try again..I hope your doing as ok as you can be.

@Hopingrae i have but only on Amazon, no where else. Fingers crossed for you!!

Hopingrae · 20/01/2024 17:43

@Nic2908 good luck! I've tested twice today... I'm 9dpo. If I stare long and hard enough I feel like I can see something on the latest one but think that's because my eyes go funny! I'll try again in the morning. I've got one step, have you found some real life frers?! I can never find them when I look.

Nic2908 · 20/01/2024 17:08

I’ve caved and ordered some freers, they get here tomorrow. I’m going to try and hold out until Monday when I think I will be 9dpo. If I can hold out until Tuesday great, but let’s be real that won’t happen.

mamataylor · 20/01/2024 15:04

Welcome @123456789ss! so sorry for your loss. I had surgical management after a failed natural miscarriage in early December. It took 4 weeks for my period to return if that helps! Sending lots of love your way as it’s such an emotional time ♥️

We were trying for 4 months before we fell pregnant with the baby we miscarried and now I’m in my first TWW following my first cycle after miscarrying.

Sending you lots of luck and baby dust ✨

@Figtree11 thanks the wait is torture and my body has so many symptoms which is killer aswell but just must be my hormones all over the place... I hope this is your cycle for your BFP
Hope my AF comes soon so I move on too

Nic2908 · 19/01/2024 20:16

@Hopingrae haha not quite but I am wondering how soon I could get away with it!! Which are the most sensitive?

Figtree11 · 19/01/2024 18:17

Hi all, just jumping on this thread 🙂 I get it @Gracie1825 I had a MMC in November, and only just got my first period this week. The waiting for something to happen was awful, and I was getting myself really down.

I’m disappointed I wasn’t a lucky one to get pregnant again before the first period, but feel in a better headspace than I was.
Things do settle eventually - it just feels like the longest wait ever. I hope things happen soon for you

Hopingrae · 19/01/2024 17:33

@Gracie1825 it's so tough waiting the first cycle out. My first AF was a bit later than normal after medical management, think 3 or 4 days. I really wanted to try that cycle but spotted the whole way through so we avoided it. How long are your cycles normally? Hopefully you won't have to wait too much longer either way. There's so much hype about being super fertile straight after, and we just really want to get pregnant again right. But if it's not this cycle, there will be another one x

Hopingrae · 19/01/2024 17:21

@moosey89 it's so good to be busy with work to take your mind off it! And probably much healthier not to track too closely, I've done that once, it was really nice! Felt like a lot less pressure. Maybe I'll do that next month 🤥
@Nic2908 11dpo for me 3 times (x2MMC and DS) and I think like 14dpo once, that was an early MC. Have you caved?!
I'm 8dpo and did a test this morning randomly...I don't really know why I did, BFN no surprise!!

Nic2908 · 19/01/2024 16:51

What’s the earliest that anyone has had a positive result?

moosey89 · 19/01/2024 16:01

@Hopingrae managing surprisingly well - because I wasn't tracking I don't have an exact dpo so haven't been focused on what day in my cycle it is! It helps that I've got heaps of planning as I've got 3 work trips in March now so I'm busy trying to figure out all my travel plans etc. Don't think I'll have time to TTC that month 🤣🙈
