Anyone ttc in 2024 after loss?

Lost my perfect little baby at the end of October. I was 15 weeks, baby was gone since 13 weeks. Planning to start ttc again in January. I am devastated and finding it hard to cope. Also extremely nervous about being pregnant again. Yet the need to have a living baby in my arms, outweighs the crippling fear. This little baby was my first too.

Does anyone know anything about bbt I've started doing it this cycle but my readings are so all over the place that I can't make sense of it. I take it the moment I wake up before even getting out of bed. But it's so up and down every day that my chart looks more like a heart trace than a bbt chart.

Bey · 18/02/2024 00:23

@Gracie1825 i think it's quite usual but it leaves you guessing if alls ok doesn't it. Oh fingers crossed we all get some BFPs very soon x

Gracie1825 · 17/02/2024 22:37

@Bey @Chaz693 I figured it was probably normal enough. Good to know you guys are similar. Hopefully we won't have too many of them and get bfp soon 🤞

Bey · 17/02/2024 10:25

@Gracie1825 yes mine have been very heavy

Anyone have heavy periods after Loss? This is my second one and it's just as heavy as the first one

Yes. I've just had my second one post miscarriage and I normally only bleed for 4 days and the last day is spotting. But this one went on for 6 days and was heavy throughout. Felt like it was never going to end.

This is all so positive @Hopingrae ill keep everything crossed this is a sticky little beam for you x

Hopingrae · 17/02/2024 08:19

@Gracie1825 wishing you all the luck for your next cycle.
@123456789ss I've totally been there. I did that last month, looking under lamps. I really hope you're bfp is not far away at all.
@Bey I was going to ask how things were going with you, nice to see you pop up again. I had a few weeks off too, it helps. Thank you so much lovely. I've had a positive digital now and a slightly darker line on 10dpo and 11dpo (although still quite faint). I feel a mix between glad, numb and scared I think. Mostly numb. I'm going to stop testing and keep living life and hope and pray for the best.

123456789ss · 17/02/2024 07:49

Ladies, I have a serious problem 😫
I keep taking tests then obsessively staring at them and shining a torch to try and see a second line, because I really WANT to see it.

For a split second I'll think I see something but know it's not really there.
Maybe I just need to use up the strips I have left in the house and not get any more 😕

Just opened this thread after a break from mumsnet and getting BFN and period

opened it on your post @Hopingrae i can definitely see a line lovely, so pleased for you and I'm keeping everything crossed

Gracie1825 · 16/02/2024 14:46

Well I'm out this month AF arrived.
Congrats to all the bfp and fingers crossed for those still waiting to hear
And hugs to those that it's not this time

mamataylor · 15/02/2024 23:14

@Hopingrae how exciting!!! It all sounds so positive! I’m due AF next Friday so maybe then? Last month I tested at both 11dpo & 13dpo and AF arrived at 15dpo so I’m going to try and wait until she’s due before I test… famous last words 😂

Hopingrae · 15/02/2024 19:19

@mamataylor symptom wise the only thing is a scratchy crampy feeling in my lower tummy, which I recognise from previous pregnancies. I've had it for a couple of days but didn't want to read too much into it! I've also had a bit of a shooting feeling in my nipples, also experienced that before in pregnancies. So really hoping they're all good signs. I know it doesn't predict the outcome though. Only time will tell with that 🙏

Hopingrae · 15/02/2024 19:15

@123456789ss I did, we tentatively toasted to positive things with a lovely non alcoholic cocktail! How are you getting on?
This is (potentially) my 5th pregnancy and we're so lucky to have a beautiful DS already. I feel fortunate to be able to conceive, just want a sticky bean this time. Will just see what the next few days and weeks bring and keep everything that is crossable crossed.

Hopingrae · 15/02/2024 18:23

@mamataylor i will! I stupidly did a clear blue digital midway through the day which was negative, but not surprising! Seemed like a good idea at the time!
I tested earlier than planned, so will try and hold out until Saturday when I'm 11dpo as doubt if see much progression tomorrow if there is any. I'll no doubt test again tomorrow and wish I hadn't.
I'll keep you updated! When are you planning to test?

9dpo...is this a vvfl??! It appeared within 3 mins and there's a little bit of colour in real life. I'm heading off to meet DH soon (he's at the dentist), we're going out for a fancy lunch that was a Christmas gift. I don't know what to do with myself. Deep breaths and one minute at a time...

Yes I see something
I hope you celebrated at lunch! ☺️

mamataylor · 15/02/2024 17:15

@Hopingrae i can definitely see a verryyyyy faint line 🥰 I have everything crossed for you!!! Keep me posted on whether you test again! Do you have any symptoms? X

mamataylor · 13/02/2024 19:58

@Hopingrae haha no way! I’m confident I could be a surgeon now 🤣 I’m on season 10 so not far behind you!
we can only try our best can’t we! 😂

Hopingrae · 13/02/2024 19:50

@mamataylor oh my goodness, I LOVE Greys Anatomy! I only started watching it towards end of last year and I'm already nearly through series 11 😂
Oh I totally did that too with all my previous pregnancies, I'm trying to turn over a new leaf! It won't last 😂

mamataylor · 13/02/2024 19:30

@Hopingrae i’m terrible for reading through threads on MN too. I remember doing it with my first baby. I’m so bad but I can’t help it!! I’m currently watching Grey’s Anatomy which is doing a good job at keeping me busy 😂

ooo, sounds positive! Keep us posted on how you get on over the next week and I’ll do the same ☺️

Hopingrae · 13/02/2024 17:11

@moosey89 I was wondering how you've been getting on. Wishing you all the luck with this cycle. You're right, you never know. I hope the stars align for us both!

@mamataylor aw you're only a couple of days behind me. I've tried to do the same, other than ovulation I've not tracked anything this month and it's really helped lessen the focus on TTC. Also stopped scrolling through endless MN posts and stories which has also helped! 😂 It's still there in the background, but not so at the forefront.
I've had some quite strong period type pains today randomly, I've not been symptom spotting but they've been pretty noticeable. Who knows, could just be wind or something. Hehe

mamataylor · 13/02/2024 16:32

@Hopingrae i have everything crossed that this is your month 🤞 i’m 5dpo! Going to try and not symptom spot this month as i did last month and was gutted when AF arrived x

moosey89 · 13/02/2024 16:00

@Hopingrae fingers crossed for you! I'm in fertile week - incidentally talking about the stars aligning thing it would be great if I got pregnant this month as it would be likely I either got pregnant on my birthday or on the due date of my most recent loss. I don't hold out much hope as this is cycle 7 now of trying again, but you never know.

Hopingrae · 13/02/2024 13:47

How's everyone doing?? I've had a couple of weeks off MN, was finding it all a bit difficult. Feel like I'm in a slightly better head space atm. I'm now 7dpo in cycle 2 since latest loss. Planning to start testing over the weekend, AF due next Tuesday. I don't know why but I just looked up due date if I get a bfp and it's my grandma's birthday. I lost my grandma last year a few days before my wedding. I really hope the universe feels like throwing me a bone this month so I can feel like it's all about the stars aligning (the things we tell ourselves, hey)! Sending baby dust and hoping those with BFPs are doing ok!
