Lost my perfect little baby at the end of October. I was 15 weeks, baby was gone since 13 weeks. Planning to start ttc again in January. I am devastated and finding it hard to cope. Also extremely nervous about being pregnant again. Yet the need to have a living baby in my arms, outweighs the crippling fear. This little baby was my first too.

Sorry for being an absolute drama lama ladies, so I managed to pick up a clear blue 6 day early test, just snuck off to the bathroom to take it I can't believe it's real.

oh gosh I'm so so happy but incredibly nervous and anxious too, but like you all keep saying one day at a time, today I'm pregnant. Wow saying that seems crazy. Today I am pregnant very early but I am pregnant.

thank you all so much for being so lovely and kind and supportive x

Congrats. Delighted for you

Lost my twin sons at 29 weeks in November from a rare and sudden condition called ttts only identical twins can get this. We had a perfect scan 4 days before this hit. One of my beautiful boys was stillborn and my second little boy died in my arms four days later. We had to bury them a week later and were only 6 weeks away from my planned c section. They were perfect. Trying again and hoping we’ll conceive soon. They were our first after two previous miscarriages. Heartbroken but trying to get through each day. I’m 4dpo today.

@Hopingrae ahh I’m good thank you. I’m 9 weeks today. Ahad a scan at 8+4 at epu and everything was reported as great. Just trying to take it one day at a time. Although if I’m being honest I live in fear every single day. How are you feeling??

That's a positive milestone to get past! But also totally understandable to feel like you do. That's the best way, one say at a time, it's all we can do! I'm feeling ok thanks, 5+3 today and just trying to push it out my mind I think really. Will see what happens!

Bey · 03/03/2024 10:26

Thanks @Sandwichesandwine I hope it's not a chemical 🤞🤞 but I guess only time will tell if AF shows or not.

i drive myself crazy.

@Nic2908 yea there is an Asda but when I looked in our Asda they didn't have any early detection tests but maybe the one there will I'll have a look.

Nic2908 · 03/03/2024 09:27

@Bey ahh absolutely. You never know they might have a corner shop. Or can you have a temporary address on Amazon and ship to where you are staying?

how long are you away for? You might get to skip straight to digital when you are back?

Sandwichesandwine · 03/03/2024 09:26

@Bey congratulations! I dont think false positives are a thing as such- just that when testing so early it may be picking up HCG from a fertilised egg which then doesn't implant properly/becomes a chemical so those people then think it was false.
I totally get being anxious and nervous but just keep telling yourself that, today, you are pregnant. Keeping everything crossed it's a sticky one 💕

Bey · 03/03/2024 09:24

I use Amazon too but we're going away for a few days so they won't come in time now if you see what I mean x

Nic2908 · 03/03/2024 09:18

@Bey where do you live?? I used Amazon? I did Amazon cheapies and got my freers from here too. every other day and then a freer in between. Then I went onto digital once my period was late. Can you look at the miu on different brands for the sensitivities?

mamataylor · 02/03/2024 21:07

@Bey how you’re feeling is totally normal and only to be expected after suffering a loss before. I think false positives are so so rare as your body has to be producing HCG for the pregnancy test to say positive.
I know it’s super hard but try and enjoy the happiness of seeing a positive as this is what you’ve wanted for so long ♥️ enjoy the special moment of when you tell your husband and take it one day at a time xx

Thank you @mamataylor i feel so confused, I don't have any more early detection tests I only have a clear blue digital and if it says not pregnant I'd be devastated, I feel it's too early to take a digital and can't seem to find early detection tests in the shops here, don't want to take a non early detection test until AF late I can't order any early detection tests online as I'm going away today for a few days. I went down a rabbit hole of seeing lots and lots of people getting false positives on early detection tests. Could it still be from my miscarriage 3 months ago even though I've had negative tests before these ones?

I'm 11dpo today period due Thursday still feel in limbo. I'm not sure what to do, keep testing or wait until AF shows or doesn't.

sorry to be completely rambling on I've no one to speak to about this in real life and driving myself crazy

Bey · 02/03/2024 21:00

Thank you @mamataylor im panicking. But now as I've been reading lots of people having false positives with those tests so now I'm thinking maybe I'm not pregnant

mamataylor · 02/03/2024 20:54

@Bey fantastic news!!! Congratulations 🥰

Hopingrae · 02/03/2024 19:37

@Bey I totally get that feeling, like you're jinxing it with ANYTHING! I told my sister and then thought well that's it I've jinxed it now. Sigh...
FMU = first morning urine!
When is your AF due? I have to say it's definitely helped my peace of mind by not obsessively tracking each day, like you can on the pregnancy apps. I'm really trying to zone out of it. Maybe that's not healthy but it feels better for me atm! Self preservation I think.
So scan is booked at 8 weeks. It's private, as my epu don't do reassurance scans unfortunately. Does yours do you know? I was really in two minds about getting an early scan, wasn't sure if I could face it but thought I'd book it in anyway then see how i feel nearer the time. Do you reckon you'll look to get one too?

Bey · 02/03/2024 19:07

@Hopingrae what is FMU? That's great that you're 5+2 oh I bet it feels like it's dragging I often thing it feels that way when you find out so early but I could never not as my periods are so regular so if I'm late I'm pregnant.

I think that's a good plan, I will follow suit if I'm pregnant and it hangs around. When is your scan? Did you say it's private or at EPU? I think im going to phone for a booking appointment as soon as my AF is late if it's late ( I feel like I'm jinxing it by saying it) what is wrong with me.

Hopingrae · 02/03/2024 18:08

@Bey highly unlikely to be a false positive I would say. If its pink and came up in the time it'll be real! I tested every day until a couple of days after af due date I think and then stopped (for my own sanity)! You might find you get a positive on a digital already with fmu, i did with my faint frer.
I'm doing ok thanks lovely, I'm 5+2...got to be honest, feels like I've been pregnant forever at this stage! 😂I'm not really tracking days I've trained myself to think "this is my sixth week off pregnancy" and leave it at that. It feels safer that way.
@Nic2908 how are you doing? Congrats on your bfp too!! It's everything going OK? I think I missed that as I had a couple of weeks off...so sorry!
