Anyone ttc in 2024 after loss?

Lost my perfect little baby at the end of October. I was 15 weeks, baby was gone since 13 weeks. Planning to start ttc again in January. I am devastated and finding it hard to cope. Also extremely nervous about being pregnant again. Yet the need to have a living baby in my arms, outweighs the crippling fear. This little baby was my first too.

Thanks for all the congratulations but unfortunately this ended in another miscarriage on Wednesday. I started bleeding heavily and the doctors said my hcg was going down. So there treating it as a chemical. So I’ll be back ttcing next month after a little break to just give myself a break. Feeling emotionally drained after 2 back to back miscarriages. X

So sorry to hear the sad news, mind yourself X

Gracie1825 · 14/03/2024 10:42

I've been quiet thought I might cope better if I wasn't obsessed this month. With mumsnet and symptoms watching etc didn't start testing early and AF came today and I'm still so upset.
Thought more things were aligned this month.. previous 2 cycles were 25 and 26 and this was 28 so was very hopeful.
This was cycle 3 after MMC
Going to let myself be sad today and try and be positive again tomorrow

Congratulations @Bey and @Chaz693

@Retailchick im due to ovulate in the next day or 2 so I’ll be in the dreaded tww with you so at least we’ll have each other to bounce off and keep company! X

Retailchick · 07/03/2024 15:50

Congratulations @Chaz693 I can definitely see a line. Had a little break from MN and tried to put TTC out of my mind last month but I’m back in the running this month and just started the TWW 🤞🏼🤞🏼…now to distract myself from going crazy over symptom spotting!!

Bey · 07/03/2024 11:54

Congratulations @Chaz693 they are good lines ☺️

Chaz693 · 07/03/2024 09:40

I tested again this morning and there is a much clearer line on both tests. I'm so shocked! And can't quite believe it. Thank you for all the support!

@mamataylor I wish you all the luck for your latest cycle and it would make my day to see you on the other thread! Sending all the positive vibes your way x
@Chaz693 mine looked very similar at 10dpo! Everything crossed for you!!

Bey · 06/03/2024 13:45

Keeping everything crossed for you @Chaz693 and so sorry for your loss

Chaz693 · 06/03/2024 13:43

@Bey thank you. I was so shocked. It being our first cycle since our miscarriage I honestly didn't have much hope. So I was expecting af to turn up today but so far it hasn't. So I'm holding out hope that we have been very lucky. X

Bey · 06/03/2024 13:41

@Chaz693 i can see a line! Tentative congratulations to you. I felt exactly the same and needed a digital to make believe I really was pregnant. Good luck 🤞

Chaz693 · 06/03/2024 13:37

I tested today at 10dpo and now I can see the faintest of lines. I've ordered some first response that should be here by tonight. But I don't think I'll believe it till it's on a digital. I'm excited but also terrified. I'll attach a photo but I'm unsure if it's visible on camera.

Thank you @Hopingrae I'll pop over to that thread now that I've had my confirmation on a digital.

@Hopingrae I hope to join your pregnancy thread soon ☺️ your messages haven’t been triggering at all! It’s lovely to see lots of positives! I know my time will come and hopefully it’s soon 🤞
so glad everything is going ok for you x

@bey and anyone else in a similar position, I did set up a thread for pregnancy support after loss recently as couldn't find another recent one. After my messages here I'm conscious they might be triggering on this board and I'm so sorry if that's been the case. Never my intention at all. If anyone wants to join if/ when ready, here's the link.

Pregnancy after loss support | Mumsnet

Hi ladies, I've recently found out I'm pregnant again after 2 losses in a row. I'm very lucky to have a DS and I had another MC before I had him. So 3...

@bey that's a good plan to talk through with your DH and see how you feel. I hope you're bfp is still nice and strong in a couple of days. Do what feels right for you. It's so hard to know isn't it.
Yes, my scan is booked in just over 2 weeks. We had to book a private one as my epu don't do reassurance scans after previous losses. I'm not even sure of the exact date I booked it because I don't want to do the count down to it until I get there! Last time I had a scan at 7+2 I think and was measuring a week behind but there was a good HB. I knew dates were off but they said the usual "you've got your dates wrong" next scan at 9+3 ish and was told heartbeat had stopped at 6 weeks (growth equivalent) so mmc must have happened literally just after having the first scan. In my head I feel like if I get one at 8 weeks and the same thing has happened we'll know sooner... but somewhere in my head I also know that no two losses are the same, it just helps me feel a bit more in control. I hate to say it but I have very little hope at this stage. But maybe that's normal. I can only wait and see! Sorry if that sounds a bit defeatist, it's all I can manage! x

Bey · 05/03/2024 12:43

@Hopingrae is that just a couple of weeks away now? I honestly don't know what to do, I'll probably talk it through with my husband once I have that digital test confirmation, he still doesn't know and it still doesn't feel real to me yet. AF is due in a couple of days so I'll take one then.

is it a private scan you've booked or through the EPU? I completely understand what you mean about it being traumatising 😢 I had
my booking appointment at 9 week last time and lost the baby at 10.5 weeks just a week and half before I was due to have my 12 week scan so I'm wondering if there is any point having an early scan, if history were to repeat itself I could have one, feel reassured then still have the trauma so I just don't know what to do. I don't know that I could wait 12 weeks either! It's hard isn't it x

Hopingrae · 04/03/2024 16:16

@bey yes, everything crossed for us both! So I booked my booking appointment first (which took a few days to sort), as I wanted to know the date so I could book a scan for before this. MW is when I'm around 8+5 and booked scan when I'll be 8 weeks. I was really in two minds about the scan as I still feel traumatised from last time, but DH and I feel it's better to know if there's an issue sooner rather than later. I know if the scan goes on that's no guarantee either, but had to make a decision! When do you think you'll book scan for?

Bey · 04/03/2024 16:05

Hopingrae · 04/03/2024 06:53

@Bey that's an awesome line! Everything crossed for you with this little bean lovely x

Thank you @Hopingrae fingers crossed for us both, when is your booking appointment/ first scan?
