Anyone ttc in 2024 after loss?

Lost my perfect little baby at the end of October. I was 15 weeks, baby was gone since 13 weeks. Planning to start ttc again in January. I am devastated and finding it hard to cope. Also extremely nervous about being pregnant again. Yet the need to have a living baby in my arms, outweighs the crippling fear. This little baby was my first too.

@HeathenPlayingHouse

We are twins in terms of both trying from march
Also sorry to hear of your losses

HeathenPlayingHouse · 31/12/2023 11:09

Hello all, I'm so sorry for everyone's losses ❤️

I had a MMC in November, it ended at around 6 weeks but I was 11 weeks when the bleeding started. It took another 3.5 weeks to confirm everything had passed, so I'm just waiting for my first AF now.

We're planning to TTC in 2024, probably from March onwards though as we're getting married in November.

I was told by the EPAU that I would be offered progesterone if I get pregnant again as I also had a chemical pregnancy in November last year.

Fingers crossed for everyone!

moosey89 · 31/12/2023 07:22

@worldwidetravel2017 yup and apparently it's ok but the EPU said they would still prescribe it if I get pregnant again as it can't do any harm.

Nice :)
Really need mine tested more

Im sure mine is an issue

Its often an issue in over weight people and under weight people..

Im loving my exercise bike
And trying to shift a few more pounds b4 March when we try again

Hi all, I’ve been a long time lurker but thought I’d finally post as I could do with the support!
I had a miscarriage at almost 6 weeks in May this year and still no bfp yet. I got quite caught up in the whole ‘you’re more fertile straight after a loss’ which has led to more disappointment.
Fingers crossed for all of us x

Aww
Sorry to hear of your loss
We miscarried in sept
We couldn't try in oct nov dec
As i had to havr ct scans , colonoscopy
And mris - don't ask
We hope to try again from march

I'm sorry to hear of everyone's losses. We lost our baby boy at the beginning of this month at 6w3d. I'm almost 39, so time isn't on my side.
We are hoping to conceive in 2024. I'm just waiting on my first af to arrive so I can get a better idea of my cycles again.
Wishing everyone all of the luck 🍀

Sorry to hear of your loss
Sending all the luck

@worldwidetravel2017 have you had your progesterone tested? I asked about getting progesterone at epu most recent time as I've had 3 losses (not in a row). They said they'd prescribe it next time after I'd had a viability scan and only if I was bleeding. Don't know how I'd get it otherwise. Heard lots of success stories though!!
My GP is speaking to local hosp about getting tests/referral to recurrent clinic so hoping it would be tested as part of that! Just want all bases covered.
@panda42 I know everyone is different, myself and a few of my friends had first baby at 37+. I remember my midwife saying "you're still young!" at my first booking appointment with him. So hopefully lots of time for you still.

Was the most recent time after July 2o23 ?
Thats when rules changed

Jmz · 31/12/2023 09:37

@moosey89 Yes, it’s like a mixture of temporary reassurance with pressure on high expectations!
So sorry for your losses too xx

moosey89 · 31/12/2023 08:24

@Jmz sorry for your loss, I did the same and the disappointment was so much worse. That old wives tale needs to stop!

panda42 · 30/12/2023 22:37

Hi @janey125N
Sorry for your loss.
I had a miscarriage in August at 7 weeks. We've been trying with no luck since but ovulation and period all over the place.
Currently in my TWW and going crazy symptom spotting 🙃
I'm 37 and can't help but worry I've left it too late 😞

Ladyinpink1 · 30/12/2023 22:21

Hi, I'm so sorry for your loss @janey125N I am on cycle 4 ttc after a loss in August past and also a loss before that in December last year. Finding I'm more anxious as each cycle passes, scared it's never going to happen as I want it so much, but at the same time, I am so anxious it does happen and turns out to be another loss to go through. It's such a rolercoaster ttc after a loss isnt' it. x
