Lost my perfect little baby at the end of October. I was 15 weeks, baby was gone since 13 weeks. Planning to start ttc again in January. I am devastated and finding it hard to cope. Also extremely nervous about being pregnant again. Yet the need to have a living baby in my arms, outweighs the crippling fear. This little baby was my first too.

I'm on cycle 4 since my MMC in December. No luck yet.
Have had day 3,21 bloods and all ok
My periods are super heavy so worried that might be playing a part but that can be normal for me.
It's probably just my age I'm 40+
I'm not on here as much as trying not obsess anymore

Hi ladies. So unfortunately my pregnancy ended up with a miscarriage. I had miscarried at 8+4 but had no signs and so it was picked up at my 12 week scan. I had surgery on Monday. I’ve been referred to miscarriage clinic so it’s not looking that I can try any time soo. I’m so fed up and disheartened. How are you all?

Sorry to hear the sad news..sending hugs.. I don't know how I'd feel a second time in a row. Thats my fear it must be devastating.

mamataylor · 01/04/2024 20:18

@worldwidetravel2017 no worries. My loss was back in November, I had surgery for it at the start of December so just over 4 months ago.

I’ll definitely look into those! Thank you for your advice 🥰 x

@worldwidetravel2017 thank you!
I had 3 or 4 scans during and after my miscarriage and they didn’t report seeing anything so I don’t think so?
funnily enough I haven’t tried it this time but I remember doing it with my daughter! No harm in trying it this cycle I guess!

Sorry - i haven't kept up - i don't know how recent your loss was
But - incase it helps you or any1 - just want to share that i had transvaginal scans - 7 months apart
And each very much tell a different story..
Might be worth considering a scan if other was a while ago

Important to have good numbers for feretin - b12 - vit d and prolactin too

Even crp which is worth checking and linked to inflammation in the body

Some people cant concieve easily til they have benign colon / bowel polyps removed 4 example

So sorry to hear you’re going through this again @Nic2908 😞 sending you lots of love ♥️ look after yourself and make sure you have lots of support around you.

I’m ok, still not pregnant. I’m on CD9 of my 5th month trying since my miscarriage in November. I’m feeling disheartened and fed up too. Just wish it would happen for us x

Sending luck
Have u been checked 4 fibroids etc?
Tried lyin with bum on pillow raised and legs in air for 30 min after baby dancing?

@worldwidetravel2017 its all still new I just want my body to settle down before I have bloods. I had them done last year after my first miscarriage and they were ok, just a really low prolactin but they didn’t think that would contribute to it just make it difficult to breast feed

My friend had lotsa private ivf

5 goes.
Miscarriage on 3rd.
.
I told her to go back to basics.
Her prolactin tests from gp then showed v high prolactin

Thankfully its come down since

Have had some light pink spotting just now which i usually get before my period so that has just dashed my confidence that this could be the real deal… I will wait to test again in the morning / see what happens with my period over the next few days. I’ve just never had a positive during a natural cycle before… will keep you posted x

Sandwichesandwine · 18/03/2024 19:34

I was just going to say the same as @mamataylor! Definite lines there. Congratulations 🥰

mamataylor · 18/03/2024 19:23

@Retailchick i can see it!! Congratulations ♥️ try not to read into whether it’s faint or not, a positive is a positive and everyone’s HCG levels are different this early on x

Bey · 18/03/2024 18:52

They look like definite lines to me @Retailchick especially if you were due AF today very unlikely to be a false positive, congratulations!!

Retailchick · 18/03/2024 18:27

Thanks @@Sandwichesandwine I couldn’t wait until the morning and have just done a dash to Tesco.

Also a faint line here I think. Would you expect it to be darker on this? I can’t believe it - keeping everything crossed it isn’t chemical 🙏🏻🤞🏼

Sandwichesandwine · 18/03/2024 17:42

I see it @Retailchick I think an early test at the point of missed period should work any time of day but may make sense to wait til the morning if you can. Keeping everything crossed for you! Xx

Retailchick · 18/03/2024 17:17

Here is the line - can anyone else see it?

Retailchick · 18/03/2024 17:15

Hi everyone, hope you are doing ok.

@Chaz693 im really sorry for your loss and hope you get some answers from the GP.

I am a bit in shock as was expecting my period today, have had a bit of spotting as I usually do before AF arrives but have had a very faint positive on a cheapie test stick just now.

I just wondered if any of you have had / known there to be false positives on cheaper tests and wondering if I go and buy an early response test it will show any darker line even though I won’t be testing with FMU? Or do I wait and retest tomorrow? I genuinely feel like my eyes might be playing tricks as this can’t be happening with a natural cycle after 2 rounds of IVF (DS conceived on first 2.5 years ago) and trying naturally for 5+ years…

Bey · 15/03/2024 11:36

@mamataylor

Thank you I'll probably regret hoping for symptoms once they kick in!

hope the tww goes quickly for you and this month is your month 🤞🤞🤞

mamataylor · 14/03/2024 17:42

@Bey my morning sickness etc didn’t kick in with my daughter until 6 weeks so there’s still time. Equally you may have a smooth pregnancy and have zero symptoms the whole way through - my sister in law was like that and her little girl is now 18 months old! Take it a day at a time 🥰

@Hopingrae if you feel an early scan will reassure you then there is no harm in having one! I understand your reservations though. Sorry to hear you’re feeling a bit rough too - it’s catch 22 with sickness isn’t it 🙈 reassuring for you but also rubbish for you!

Yes I’m doing ok thank you, both. I’m 6dpo today so in the dreaded tww 🙃 AF is due next Saturday so will try and hold out until then to test! I’ll be back to update you both 🤞 x

Hopingrae · 14/03/2024 14:47

@mamataylor thanks for checking in. I'm 7 weeks today. Managing to take it one day at a time. Although very much like @bey, always a bit worried going to the loo! My nausea has really ramped up in the last few days, feeling pretty ropey. Undecided about early scans or whether to just see if we get to 12 weeks. Whereabouts are you this cycle? Hope you're doing ok?

Bey · 14/03/2024 13:37

Hi @mamataylor i am doing ok thank you, I am now 5 weeks along, I still have no symptoms which is making me feel very nervous. Still checking for bloody every time I go to the loo, and still worrying but hopeful.

How are you?

Chaz693 · 14/03/2024 13:06

Thank you all. I’m doing okay. Trying to get in to see my doctors to request some tests as they told me last time they wouldn’t do anything as I’d had a healthy pregnancy between my miscarriages. So now I’m pushing for at least a blood test to just figure out what’s going on. I’ll hopefully be back in April or May with ttcing after I’ve had some tests. X good luck everyone! X

mamataylor · 14/03/2024 12:55

@Chaz693 so sorry for your loss. Take care of yourself ♥️

@Gracie1825 sorry to hear AF arrived.

@Bey @Hopingrae how are you both? X
