Hi ladies,
I hope this is not triggering for anyone
But I took a pregnancy test today and I see something but just not sure my eyes are deceiving me. Would you mind if I posted it and you tell me what you think? Xx

Yes absolutely, upload a photo and I will let you know my opinion xx

My cycle is pretty much regular and honestly I don't bother testing because it stresses me out and I dtd pretty much everyday so

Ah, yeah, if you dtd every day anyway, no need to track ovulation!

Noisinmaro · 16/12/2023 08:13

I started testing day 10 as instructions said so, 10,11, all circle, day 12 got the static smiley....
Il test earlier if needed next month...
First time using so just figuring it out....
Yeah I read once get the smiley can ovulate up to 2 days after....
My cycle is 29 days odd month 30, but I got smiley on day 12...
each month I use the same test? Sorry I don't understand...because its fixed on the smiley face...
Well the clear blue test stick is fixed on a smiley face so I can't reuse...

You use the same device, not test, sorry! So the more you put tests into the device, the device begins to “know” your body better and predicts more accurately and will add more flashy smiley faces to give you more notice.

It’s not unheard of to go for cycle to static smiley. CD 12 for a positive lh sound doesn’t sound early for a 29/30 day cycle.

Applesandcake · 15/12/2023 20:59

It’s unlikely to. Is your cycle normally pretty regular? Do you know when yo normally ovulate?

@Noisinmaro I've not as of yet used the 4 day.. its coming Monday but I know with the 2 day the result stays on the test for 24 hours then goes away but I also noticed if I put a new stick in it resets? Have you looked on the clearblue site? It might tell you! Ivw not tried pre see before, but ill give it a go! Hopefully it happens for you soon!! Good luck for TTC 🤞

@Firsttimerr95 Hey 👋 I know it can all be so daunting & scary, I had my daughter 6 years ago & didn't think for a minute I'd struggle. Here I am 3 miscarriages later! But that doesn't mean to.say everyone will go.through difficulties it might be you fall quickly, but what I will say is there's plenty of help out there for you, the pregnancy unit at my local hospital are doing loads for me now! Hopefully you & your partner will DTD (Do the deed or dirty your preference😆) & you'll fall! 🤞🤞 ps don't worry about the acronyms I know only a few too🙈 x

Aw bless you, that must be awful! Sorry you've had to go through that but good to know you've had lots of support from the hospital. If it makes you feel any better, there's 6 years between me and my sister and I think it's a great age gap! We were close enough in age that we'd play together as kids but far enough apart that there was never any competition or jealousy over who'd done the best in their exams, who got the better Christmas presents, who learned to drive first, who got married first etc etc, and we're so close now as adults. Keeping my fingers crossed for you 🤞❤️

We've purposely not told anyone we're going to start trying and if anything we've made out we want to wait a few years so there's no pressure from family or friends if it doesn't happen quickly. My SIL has just announced she's pregnant with the first grandchild on my husband's side so that should keep my in laws quiet for a while too 😂

Ok, I try reset...thanks for reply.
Looked on the website, its not clear,
Just I never got the flashing smiley went from plain circle to the next day the static smiley...
Just was surprised.
I've never used so I've no.clue.

When did you start testing? For a 29/30 day cycle you need to start testing cycle day 8. Each month you use the same test, it gains a better understanding of your hormonal clues and is able to predict earlier.

Also, you can ovulate up to two days after the static smiley, so if you ovulated on cd14, you’d still have a 13 day luteal phase.

Mummysparrow · 15/12/2023 22:30

Hi
Can I join? I have started TTC for number 2 this month. I was incredibly lucky and conceived second month of trying with my 2 year old but I am now 34 and for some reason I feel like I can't be that lucky again. I suppose only time can tell.
We are putting a time limit on it and if I don't conceive in a year we are taking it as a sign that we are one and done..Though I do wonder if I will the same on a year if I don't conceive.

Welcome everyone!! 🙏 I'm so glad I'm off af ... I stopped at day 4 instead of 5? Would this affect anything?

I tried putting in new tip into the test stick to see does it recalibrate but no doesn't....anyways just wondering....cause I never used before...
Ok a few testing early January...lots bfp on Dec thread so hopefully will get some....

SequinCola · 15/12/2023 17:17

@Chocpot1986 I'm 37 and also trying for number 2, also feeling like it's not going to happen even though we've only just started. Very much in my head about my age.

@Noisinmaro I thought you couldn't use the test again for 48 hours but I might be wrong about that - I've never experimented!

Applesandcake · 15/12/2023 16:20

I’m on the dec thread as I am ovulating in dec and will begin to test from the 31st but technically my AF if due on the 4th of Jan!

This will be the first cycle of ttc baby number three! I’ve just turned 38. I was nearly 33 when I had my first, nearly 36 when I had my second. Very excited agd nervous! Im CD 6 now, will start tracking with Advance clear blue ovulation tests tomorrow, and expecting to ovulate on the 23rd. Eeee!

Chocpot1986 · 15/12/2023 15:01

Hi all!

We started trying for No2 in October. I have a four year old already and have only waited this long as I got poorly end of last year so it delayed everything! I am also 36 and am really not feeling hopeful and I don’t know why?! I have had fertility blood tests and they came back all normal.

Anyone else over 35?

I use the flo app but I don’t think it’s accurate for me tbh! Xx

I've a question On the clear blue ovulation test advanced digital the 4 day one, when the test stick result is a smiley face for peak fertility does that mean the ovulation test stick can't be used again as the symbol stays on the screen...
I got my smiley on CD12,wasn't expecting it this early as my cycle is 29 maybe 30 days odd month.

Noisinmaro · 14/12/2023 23:10

I'm using pre seed last 3 months, alot have success with it , so far we haven't.
This month I'm using the clear blue digital ovulation tests I'm CD 11 and still getting the circle so be interesting to see will I get the smiley on day 14 as I think that's my day to ovulate 14/15 as I have cramps usually....I bought a load of things on Black Friday....
Just hope I don't obsess as I have a tendency to...thats why I haven't used the ovulation tests so far...

Firsttimerr95 · 14/12/2023 22:23

Hi everyone!

I'd love to join! 😊

January will be our first time trying for our first baby. Bit of backstory - we're both 28 and we've been together for nearly 10 years but only got married last summer. I think I would have started trying sooner but my husband wanted to wait until the new year, mainly to enjoy married life and top up our savings a bit after the wedding.

I know quite a few people in real life who have fallen pregnant straight away but then I've seen so many women on tiktok who have struggled for years/had to do IVF/had multiple miscarriages so I'm a bit apprehensive as to what our journey will be.

Looking forward to following along with you all. Fingers crossed for 2024 🤞

Also apart from TTC, DPO and BBT, I have no idea what any of the other acronyms mean so bear with me 😂

LuceNumberTwo · 14/12/2023 22:02

Here I ammm again... AF arrived 3 days early this cycle. She's here with a mission this month!!
I've so far been pregnant 3 times this year, with no happy ending 🥺
Didn't really try properly for December & didn't fall November so had a slight break!
We are really trying this month, I've even bought pre seed (any advice or experience with use would be good!) & the more expensive clearblue digital ovu tests, with the 4 days instead of 2! I want this baby so much 😞 I have a DD who's 6... I'd love for her to be a big sister ❤️ I'm apparently ovulating right over Xmas! So we will be DTD. I'm not back at work until.the 8th Jan, when my period is apparently due so might know before I'm back 🤞🤞
Anyway for now! I have my works Xmas party Sat so gin shall be drank 🥂🥂
Good luck to you ladies already here & joining 💝🥰🥰

I have a 9 year old and a 5 year old. So there will be quite an age gap for us from start to finish. Can I be cheeky and ask how old you are?
