TTC FOR JANUARY

I have been quiet for the last few days as we had loads of family visits and then unfortunately my 14 year old dog passed away yesterday and suddenly my energy for TTC has gone. I am 8dpo and not tested because I am just not feeling it. I am not sure grief will help with TTC either. I may test tomorrow or leave it until Thursday as it is my husbands birthday on Thursday.
I hope everyone is ok.

That’s the tactic I’m going with @GoldenArrow i don’t want to get sucked into ovulation tests etc too quickly as I know I’ll get far too much in my head about it. We’re just going to have sex every day this week haha! I can usually tell with my CM when I’m ovulating. Hoping for an easy journey

I am confused with ovulation. Don't think my app is right, Google says I should be ovulating now but I don't feel anything (I normally do!). Just going to dtd often and hope for the best x :)

Funny you say that @starryx my little one has been telling me for 3 days they want their baby brother now. They’ve always been anti another child and it’s came out the blue as we are careful not to speak about it in front of them esp when we are only beginning to try!

Ahhhh so the plot thickens.. took a strip yesterday pm & it was lightning... took one this morning and boom SUPER DARK! 🤣🤣 but I definitely don't think I'm ovulating now, I think I have already! I've also read your LH can surge a bit before AF, so it could be that... Who knows! 🙈🤷‍♀️

I don't know what right method, etc works to be honest, I even know.of women feeling their own cervix (I'm a little too chubby for this, and personally it gives me a bit of the ick! That's just me though) but I don't think anything would be 100% accurate if I'm honest, the clearblue digital ovulation tests seem to be the closest at the moment, although pricey!

So a new year begins tonight ladies! I don't know about you all but this year can honestly 🖕🖕🖕 for me! It's been the worst. My daughter & DP are literally all that's kept me going, but I've survived!
Anyone got big plans? We are allowing DD to stay up till the bells with a glass of apple juice 🤣🤣 she's very excited

@UnderstatedElegance im so sorry you lost your baby. I get you that you just want to do it and let it be! This is our first month for baby number 2 but we’ve only DTD once and I think I’ve missed ovulation. My body isn’t doing what I expected or what the apps say.

I dont do any tracking we dtd on a regular basis and I usually get signs I'm ovulating. I might start to track it if it takes a while to fall pregnant. I'm still waiting on my first af since we lost our little boy. It's due anywhere between 3rd Jan - 17th Jan 🤦‍♀️
I just feel like I've had so so much medical poking and prodding that I don't want to medicalise ttc just yet with temperatures and so on.

@H938 im confused too, they say do 1 day after ovulation as egg can last 12 hours to something. So that’s why they say DTD one day after but when I thought I was ovulating my LH tests are not playing ball lol

@LuceNumberTwo yeah but i deffo just didnt ovulate the first time. I dont know what the best way to get pregnant is, i just think keep dtd until you know youre not fertile 😂 but I saw someone say do it two days before and the day of ovulation 🫠 so i have no clue. Now im wondering are we meant to not do it anymore after ovulation ?

@SlinkMcSlink im still a beginner at OPKs but literally looking morning to night and from research that is still not there.

I don't tell my OH when I'm ovulating. He hasn't copped on that I initiate sex more often at a certain time of the month. I don't want it to stress us out. Just trying to enjoy it and hope for the best atm but it is early in our trying journey.

At least we are all in it together as sometimes it feels like you’re the only one. My LH sticks are confusing me though. It says that this is high (see pic) but I’m only on CD8. Although I haven’t had a drink since this morning.

Do I just DTD as much as possible for the next week-10 days to cover all bases? Sounds exhausting bloody hell haha.

@BussiBop23 well done for holding out. I’m a raging maniac already and I’m not even past ovulation yet I don’t think lol. I’m so sorry to hear about your MMR I had a chemical years ago and it really affected me. Sending love.

@LuceNumberTwo honestly im so emotional today isn’t not even funny. I had a chat with him and he said let’s not blow this out of proportion and it’s just not the same for a man and he does want it but it’s just the pressure that men don’t like. He was like one morning and your acting like this are you sure your not already pregnant 😂😂😂 Us woman just get so transfixed don’t we. Still light OPK but all the apps say ovulate New Year’s Eve and today peak too 🤷🏼‍♀️ did I ovulate cycle day 12 aggghhhhhhh!!!!! That’s a good way to look at it just pop it in yourself then they don’t feel making love is just sex for a baby!

Do you think you may have fallen? I'd have been on the tests since 7dpo so you are doing so well to have made it to 9! Hoping for your BFP soon 🤞🤞

@H938 Honestly 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ I would be super happy with twins 🤣! I feel like this is exactly what happened to you last time 🙈 guess we will just keep going at it. So really God knows, I think I should trust the clearblue more but I just don't understand why the strips would show a surge now... I don't even know when to test or anything now 🤣🤣 maybe should wait until the end of January to see if I AF comes..But I don't think I can wait that long!

I'm hoping that after today it starts to lighten!

Hey everyone, been reading through the messages and can totally relate to the stories of people struggling and being emotional over Christmas. I had a MMC in March and haven't conceived since. Lots of pregnant friends and new babies at Christmas so it's been difficult.

I think I'm 9DPO today - trying so hard to not test!! I had some spotting just after ovulation which I read is a sign I haven't conceived so not holding out much hope tbh.

@LuceNumberTwo just keep dtd for atleast another week. Atleast youre covered then! And dont stress about it, that happened to me when I didnt ovulate the first time but it could mean loads of things or nothing at all. Maybe youll end up with twins 😄🤩 🤞🏼

I done a CB today and got the empty circle, got no strips left (probably for the best) so now I will just wait and see 🙃

Right so super mad mental psycho has come out again 🤣🤣 had my Static smiley on clearblue ovulation test on 26th December... have been tracking with strips & premom too... my strips were also dark & found my peak on the same day.. I think I ovulated the 27th/28th... I take the strips to make sure my LH goes down, but now the strip tests are dark, infact the surge line is darker than the reference line... Which usually happens with my peaks... I took a digital again, because I'm freaking out, it's come back as an empty circle.. I should be like 3/4 dpo right now

Do I just keep trying for the next week? I've never ovulated twice or not ovulated this is so out the ordinary for me 🙈🙈 x

@Newmumwales MEN! They just don't seem to understand, I know it can happen if your just having sex randomly but it's more likely to happen when your tracking & know your ovulating.. Maybe need to sit down with him & speak it out. I've explained to my partner because he was always like it will happen, but now he gets it. But we also use a home insemination kit, as he suffers badly from anxiety & unable to always perform.. It takes a bit of the pressure off & I've fell pregnant 3 times so far, they haven't had happy outcomes but to have fallen I know it works! It then makes having sex fun & sexy again for us
It isn't for everyone but each to their own!
