Did she buy it direct from Dell? They should sort it for faulty equipment, even if she didn't buy the extra warrenty.

I dunno, mum got it for us for xmas but they told dh it was under warrenty.

We took everything off and put it back on and then it broke. The mouse and keyboard wont work so they are ringing today to see if they can fix it.

Did you buy the extra warrenty? We have done with all of ours from Dell, they come to the house to fix any problems, not had any so far with the PC's (touch wood!) but we did a couple of times with the laptop, they were pretty good.

What we also found is that when you get a new PC/laptop from Dell, all of the programming is already done, there are often 'teething problems', it turned out that all the programing is done by machines and a lot of the time things can get mixed up and stuff, so if you completely take everything off, and reboot the hardrive, then put everything back on, it works a lot better.

We have a Dell PC we got for xmas and its always broken. I bloody hate it.

We've had 2 laptops (1 Dell and 1 Sony), plus DH has had 3 for work, all Dell, and none of them have lasted more than 2-3 years, whereas we have had 1 desktop by HP, and now this one I am on now from Dell, the HP one lasted about 10 years (was DH's before we got together) it would have lasted longer but we let DS1 'play' on it when we got the first laptop and he buggered it up beyond comprehension, and this Dell one now is now about a year old, no problems so far. DS1 also now has a Dell, which is again just over a year old, and even with him managing it, it's still going strong.

Have started a thread on my belly here don't know what I am expecting from it, but it'd be good to know if anyone does know a medical reason for it.

I know I am. I'm glad I decided to get a laptop as the computer is bloody stupid and broken.

Cal, its totally up to you but it wouldn't bother me at all. Ds is only a year old and we're going to London for 4 days and leaving ds with my mum. I know he is safe, being looked after and will be having a great time with his nanny and grandad.

I didnt have any crisps yesterday. If I can stick to no crisps it might just work.

Cal, agree with Diege, and everyone else, a week is wayyyyyy too young, DS1 is 6 and he has said a couple of times he'd like to go and stay with my mum for a few days, but then when we talk about it properly, he always decides he'll wait till he is a bit older. Again I have no problem letting him go, as in he would be well looked after and I think he'd love the day time/play time, but I think he'd miss me too much at night time. OK OK I'd miss him a bit I spose.....

OK so CD22, belly getting bigger and hard, I am convinced it has nothing to do with any pregnancy, but then a little voice, normally DH, pops up to say otherwise... I don't know what I am thinking TBH, half of me says there is no way it could be pregnancy, but then the other half thinks well then WTF is it? And then I go down the road of there being something actually wrong, as in health wise, and that scares me a bit, so I go back to thinking it's pregnancy, but it can't be...... See where I'm coming from? Cramps have almost gone, to be replaced by 'tightness' is all I can describe it as, oh and the odd feeling like I have pulled all my (very non-existent) stomache muscles, but I haven't.....

DH said last night we should take a picture of it, because if it does turn out to be pregnancy, then we'll need proof for the guinnes book of records.... He is not helping very much at the moment!!!

And on top of all of that, I have completely gone off sex, we haven't had sex since very early Sunday morning, DH thinks his poor Wilber (ahem....) has fallen off, he says I am going heal up if we don't shag soon, I told him if he comes near me I am very likely to put his "poor Wilber" in the freezer......................

Off to bed, but just wanted to say CALS that YANBU!!!! Far too young, emotionally, to go for a hol - maybe an overnighter at a push, but certainly no longer in my opinion .

Well, can't believe you thought the thread might quieten down when I went back to work...which is v v pants by the way, my boss is the biggest dunce on the planet. I know I'm supposed to support my boss but there's a difference between supporting and propping up.

DS had his first taster of toddlers at nursery today and whilst a bit worried at first, with a few tears apparently he soon got to like it and cried when his hour and a half visit was over . I think he's going to really love it when he gets more settled. As I was leaving he was trying to go to one of the girls from downstairs for a cuddle which was a good sign too.

In laws were a bit of a nightmare - they were very critical of DS wanting to watch telly. They don't have any other grandchildren and live in the countryside - they think telly is for lardy townies. However, when he gets excited at pictures of birds, and signs bird to them, and then points outside at birds and signs at them too - they were quite impressed.

Think I need to go start an AIBU thread too...

Anyhoo - can't stay long as am crackered and need to drag DH off upstairs to make sure I get another GOF in, CM is looking a bit like EW so looks like cycle could be back to its standard 28 days (hopefully!). LOL at you all commenting on my stamina - lets just say that DH and I have a very very very long break and it tokk me a considerable amount of time after DS birth to even think about GOF's again but we seem to be over that now !

Will try and pop on again tomorrow and be a bit more regular - probably around lunchtime.
