COuld be...or you could have "mutant alternative ovary cycles" like me...

I have just been reading vvveeeerrrrrryy interesting research that reckons that the right ovary is in fact 'dominant' and more pregnancies are a result of ovulating from dominant right, than left ...

This is apparently even more true in women undergoing assisted conception.

largeginandtonic · 13/03/2008 11:07

I only sya think as last month my cycle was 42 days long and that would mean i should be ov at the weekend. It was my 2nd af after stopping bf so could be all out of whack?

BigTeuchLittleTeuch · 13/03/2008 11:06

Pink - I hope you are having plenty of sex, just in case you OV'd very late

BigTeuchLittleTeuch · 13/03/2008 11:05

largeginandtonic · 13/03/2008 11:02

I am on cd24 today i think. Where are you Teuch?

NatalieJane · 13/03/2008 11:01

Told you to turn me off....

Moosma, sorry you are having a crappy day Nick some of Teuchs diggy duff duffs (what on earth are they anyway?!!!) before she scoffs the lot!

I am going now, if nothing else I need a wee!

BigTeuchLittleTeuch · 13/03/2008 10:53

Moosma - hope your day gets better! Pop some pills and have a hot drink. A sofa-day methinks.

Cal - sorry I thought I had responded earlier . Disappointment always comes with a dose of determination (for me anyway) so keep that with you for this cycle.

NJ, check you out being all industrious again and showing us all up for the slatterns we are...

I've just had a lovely coffee and 2 choccy diggy-duff-duffs to celebrate rising LH

MoosMa · 13/03/2008 10:48

Morning all,

I'm on CD1 (well I ought to be, but AF hasn't turned up yet , maybe later today), otherwise I'm on CD0!

I'm feeling very sorry for myself today, I stayed out at the swings too long in the freezing cold wind yesterday and heven't felt warm since, I have a stonking headache (I also do when I'm on the pill and AF is coming), all my joints ache and I feel like I'm getting a cold

To top it all off, I was catching up on th thread earlier and we had a power but for half an hour! NO MN! What have I done to deserve this?????

It's all back now though, so hoepfully the day will perk up

Glad you're being so cheery about AF Cal and I hope your first day back isn't too hard.

NatalieJane · 13/03/2008 10:47

PMSL at GOQ

Really must get back to cleaning, someone turn my pooter off please.....

BigTeuchLittleTeuch · 13/03/2008 10:44

make that a GOQ (LG&T stylee)!!!

BigTeuchLittleTeuch · 13/03/2008 10:43

buggered today's cm/cp spotting tho with GOF this morning though...

By the way...tell NOBODY that I peed on an OPK at 10.30 in the morning!!! T'is against the OPK rules (but I am far too impatient!) . To be fair, I am poas 2-3 times a day...

NatalieJane · 13/03/2008 10:42

LOL Teuch, I am loving your left overy/right overy theory

BigTeuchLittleTeuch · 13/03/2008 10:40

I have an excel sheet but no graph as I don't temp...

NatalieJane · 13/03/2008 10:39

Oh Cal, just in time for first day back as well, what a bugger, I was so sure you were heading for a BFP. Hope you are OK really, I know how dissapointing it can be. Here's to next cycle and more GOF's

I am loving all this cycle tracking going on, makes it seem like there is more to do than just have a GOF every other night and hope for the best, it put's us in charge of things!

I am going to admit that I have fallen off the wagon, big time, I've jumped ship, I have missed the boat, I am TTC'ing for real, and I am on CD10 which means at the very least another 18 days to wait...... Although we have started the cycle as we mean to go on, full explosions, nearly every day, can't be bad can it?!!!

I have more clearing up to do, I am all dressed up in my rubber gloves and hairband keeping my flowing locks () out of my face, jeans rolled up at the bottom because I have been stood in the bath cleaning the tiles above, feel like an old washer woman! Sure DH would be very impressed if he could see me now!! Oh well, back to the slog....

BigTeuchLittleTeuch · 13/03/2008 10:38

hi all!

Playing - welcome to the wonderful world of compulsive cycle-tracking

Diege · 13/03/2008 10:32

Playing, I think the LP length is quite controversial - most books even say 14 days after ovulation, (ie, 'late' af = late ovulation). More recently however, experts are saying many women have shorter/longer phases. And there are mumsnetters who plot it all (with temps!) on excel spreadsheets! You might be able to get away with that one in the office too, no one would ever guess

Playingthewaitinggame · 13/03/2008 10:25

I've just had porridge and it was good.

Is Heron right??? I thought your LP stayed the same every month? I know most women have a 14 day LP but that it could be 10-14 days? Am pretty sure mine was 12 days last month (without checking my diary) so does that mean it should be 12 days again this month? All this cycle montitoring is hard work, I think I might have to satrt producing a graph on excel!!

largeginandtonic · 13/03/2008 10:15

Oh bemy i wish you hadnt said that, i really want one now

I have tingly weird boobs but dont think i have ovd yet. Thought it was supposed to be this weekend but i did have some ?EGG WHITE last week i think.

BeMyLilBaby · 13/03/2008 10:07

oh ive jus had a maccyd's egg and sausage mc muffin .. . i lurve guilty pleasures

OP posts:
Heron23 · 13/03/2008 10:04

If you ov'ed on CD25 then, AF should come 14 days later, so on CD39. i think

Diege · 13/03/2008 10:00

Playing, yes I think that does sound quite accurate - the EWM is always the easiest and most accurate sign for me, and it sounds like you're using these pre-ttc months well in getting used to what your body's doing (but without any of the ttc stress!!). And you are certainly on the wagon, just maybe not on the front row yet . I'm on a seat about mid-way down the wagon I think.
Great link POPCORN . Have got it right that EWM signifies imminent ovulation (so lots of gofs) but when the actual egg is released and is 'there' the EWM dries up? (so worth a few more days of GOF after EWM???) Think this is where I went wrong when ttc dd3, so really helpful to know

BeMyLilBaby · 13/03/2008 09:57

morning all

playing im still on the wagon, just pressed the bell and wiating for my stop as it where but of course your still welcome! i dont get cycles so im not much help im afraid

Cal glad you got AF IYSWIM cos as you said now you know!

i really cant focus here today x

Playingthewaitinggame · 13/03/2008 09:50

Morning ladies, lovely new thread I see. Am I still allowed on as I am still clinging to the wagon?

Glad you at least know where you are in your cycle now Cal. If it couldn't be a BFP, AF was the next best thing, cos at least you can get on with it again!

I'm on CD31 today but not expecting AF for a few more days. Actually I am quite curious to see when she comes this month. I got EWCM on CD21 but only a bit and then I got lots on CD25 so I am thinking I tried to ov on CD21 but didnt but then ov'ed on CD25. Last month I think my LP was 12 days so in theory if I ov'ed on CD25 I should get AF on CD37. Does that sound right?

largeginandtonic · 13/03/2008 09:39

We have been having a gof every day, except 1 this month. Sometimes i have been too tired and just said to dh get on with it and be quick He obliges of course.
