Diege has taken over my 50's little wifey stand You can have it, I am planning on not much more than putting washing in dryer, and sorting kitchen out (yes the one I spent all day Saturday clearing out )

NatalieJane · 17/03/2008 12:50

I don't think she dis-likes me, I don't think she likes or dis-likes anyone really, as long as they bow down to her every need, put her first before anyone and everything else, and tell her she is beautiful/lovely/funny/ etc. etc. she has no problems.

Her main problem is that she is just sooooooooooooooo selfish, I really can't emphisise that enough, she is hugely selfish, and she doesn't know how to love. I know that sounds very lentil weavingly grim but it's true.

She was the only one of I think 3 kids to be adopted out by her biological mother. Her adopted mum always preferred one of her biological daughters over MIL and the other biological kids. She did have a rough life. She has some learning disorders, nothing major, just hasn't got a basic grasp of education, very slow reading, can't write/spell very well etc.

When I think of that side of it I do feel very sorry for her, but then when I think of what she has done to us, DH, and the kids, none of it maliciously, but still with intent (I know that doesn't make sense but it would if you knew it all) I can't feel much for her other than contempt.

At the end of the day she is DH's mum, and without her he wouldn't have been here, which means my kids wouldn't have been here, so for that, I am obviously grateful to her, but then our life, as it is now, would run much more smoothly without her, or at least with her being 200 miles away

Diege · 17/03/2008 12:47

What a nightmare Kay, though at least she has gone now!
LL, listen to Teuch our tech!! It really is the case that before ov is better than after, so I reckon you're in with a pretty good chance. How is dd now? From your description, her cough does sound a little 'croupy', though the 'purry' type breathing suggests it's 'loose' so confined to upper-respiratory. Have you had her chest listened to by GP? Sorry to nag, but dd1 had this on and off for about two years, and it can be quite scary. A steamy bathroom really helps too. I'm sure you know most of this already [LL rolls eyes]..
Have a good trip Teuch! Will help take your mind off 2ww!
Well have had a fairly productive morning. Have written and sent an importnat document, filled the paper bin, done a wash, and am now cooking a healthy (but bland) meal of bulgar wheat, puy lentils and home made fishcakes. Will need a big dollup of ketchup methinks!

kayzisbroody · 17/03/2008 12:45

Right the front room is done. I'm going to open the windows later once it's stopped raining.

I am so tired.

BeMyLilBaby · 17/03/2008 12:39

Kays and NJ for you both, NJ MILS are nightmareous... mine has been better of late but i dont hold out much further hope when Baby news announced...however she cld surprise me..

why doesnt yours like you? mine had a vendetta for a while lol

Kays know what you mean about smoke...tis grim and that was a disrespectful thing of her to do.

I actaully cant wait to have coil out.. seem to get emotions building up... just want to be meeee lol

Kay, sounds like a bit of a nightmare. I'd suggest spending the next hour or so, with all the windows open, let it all blow through, and you won't get cold because you will be busy clearing up, then close windows, grab big bar of galaxy, put F1 on, and relax for the day knowing you've 'done your bit'

NatalieJane · 17/03/2008 12:28

Hey Teuch glad you're still about, was thinking over the weekend about what you said about only a 10% chance of it working if you have sex the day before OV, is that a fact or a theory of yours? (Or did I completely mis-read it altogether?!!)

Only asking because it doesn't fit with the theory of the whole early GOF's for a girl, later GOF's for a boy thing.... There would be 1000000's more boys than girls, wouldn't there?

I need to be straight in my head y'know!!

kayzisbroody · 17/03/2008 12:28

Thank god they have gone. I don't like my sister very much. She does my bloody head in. She smoked in the kitchen out of the window despite us telling her we didn't want her too. The house now stinks of smoke.

Then they were meant to get the bus at 11:40 but my brother phoned and said his fiance had recieved some bad news(not sure what) and they would get the 12:40 bus instead so have had sister whinging like a 2 year old that its freezing and she wants to be back in her warm town. King's Lynn is in Norfolk not the f**king Caribean(sp)

Oh and my front room is a complete tip as my niece has never really been displined except getting a smack whenever my sister can be arsed. So my niece has pulled out absolutely everything, all of ds's toys in his toybox and anything else she could find.

ARGHHHHHH!!!!

Teuch, hope you have a good time. Sorry about washing machine.

LL, Sorry about dd being ill.

Nat, Sorry MIL is stupid!!

Oh and my sister doesn't like sport so I am only just getting to watch the Formula 1 but I know who wins!!

BigTeuchLittleTeuch · 17/03/2008 12:23

Hey LL...truth is, if you are fairly sure about OV happening, then any GOFs more than a day after that are for fun!! Egg only survives for up to 24 hours (in reality probably only less than 12) so what really matters is getting the wrigglers up there before or on the day of OV

It ain't over by a long chalk...

or DD though, and DH being away.

NatalieJane · 17/03/2008 12:01

LL, tis OK, if you are due on on Saturday that means you'd have OV'ed somewhere between CD10 - CD15 (ish) so GOF'ing up to CD18 is covering all of that

Hope DD is feeling a bit better today, it is horrible when they're ill

lardylumps · 17/03/2008 11:57

Morning ladies it is a sad time for me I think I am out of the running this month . No GOF since Friday as DD has been really poorly over the weekend. She has a really nasty cough that sounds like a dog barking and when she breaths she sounds like a cat purring.

Been coughing all night and bringing up bile in her sleep so I have been in her room with her. Dd and I are both exhausted today as we have had no sleep all weekend.

DP is away most of this week so probably no GOF this week and AF due on Saturday so that will mean no GOF from day 18. Not good enough.

Got to go now and try and get DD to eat something.

Hope you all had better weekends than me.

Bye for now.

NatalieJane · 17/03/2008 11:28

Ahhhh, that's OK then, I'll let you go, as long as you're back before next week!!

Have a lovely time, and look forward to hearing your SIL's news, if you are right!!

BigTeuchLittleTeuch · 17/03/2008 11:19

Just going a jolly to the mainland...and, no, I am not at end of 2ww til next week as I OV'd later!!

I'm taking the pooter but have no idea about this wireless roaming thingymabobby . So maybe not logging back on til Friday when I'm back.

I am very much hoping to come back on with news from my other SIL as my pg radar is definitely detecting some action Gawd, I hope I am right!!!!

NatalieJane · 17/03/2008 11:06

Oh, erm.... sorry about washer though, but hoorah for new bathroom.

Now, where are you going?!!

NatalieJane · 17/03/2008 11:04

Where you going? Have I missed something? Are you sodding off at the end of your 2ww again?

BigTeuchLittleTeuch · 17/03/2008 11:02

No pets for us unless you count working dog...oh, and 30 cows, 300 sheep, 10 hens and 9 ducks!!

Bloody, b@st@rding washing machine has died...thankfully got all laundry done for going away but do you know how difficult it is to get a bloody machine delivered here??!! Meh...dirty farms cannot do without a washing machine for more than a day or two...

On the plus side, our new bathroom is going in whilst we are away . Hurrah!!

Glad all the celebrations and visits went well. I'm off to load the car up. Catch you later!

Playingthewaitinggame · 17/03/2008 10:18

Our cat is called Smirnoff. Twas a joke down the pub and it kinds stuck. Is very funny calling that one in the garden!

NatalieJane · 17/03/2008 10:10

LOLOLOLOL just got a vision of me outside the back door at 11 o'clock at night calling 'Fanjo, come on Fanjo' LOL think I'll stick with the tut tut tut sound!

NatalieJane · 17/03/2008 10:07

MIL's excuse, she didn't have one really, just said "I thought he was going to be 5" If it was that she didn't see him very often, and had loads of other kids to think about I could understand, but we are there every sodding weekend, and although she does have about 17/18 grandkids, and about 3 great grandkids, there is only 5 of them young enough (in her book) to warrent a card and a fiver, and 2 of them she rarely sees (is only our two boys, and the 12 month old that was here yesterday that she has regular contact with)

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR cowbag

LOL It does make me feel better! LOL And I very very very rarely call anyone names but she deserves, I don't like her!! I have said that haven't I?!! LOL

The cat is staying nameless, I think we did give her name when we first picked her up, but IME cat's never answer to names, so didn't see the point in calling her anything, she is just "cat" LOL Can't even remember the name we gave her now LOL

Diege · 17/03/2008 09:59

Hi Playing! Can just imagine your garden from your description! Glad you had fun though

Playingthewaitinggame · 17/03/2008 09:58

Oh and I meant to say, glad the christening went well Kay

Diege · 17/03/2008 09:58

Sounds like a great party Nat, though at your MIL!! What was her excuse? Very odd . LOL at flirty workman possibly resurfacing your pavement That would be sooo funny (for us!). I am also slighly concerned that your cat has no name - we must name her for you! Maybe something easy to remeber - Fanjo? Gof-fy??? . Excellent with GOFing too - so you're on the 2ww now? How exciting!!
Kay, how long is your sister staying for? I find I get to about 3 days with with family and I start to get bit 'irritable' with them ..then really miss them when they are gone!
Right, better get some 'work' work done. So hard to get motivated when the sun is shining outside and tv is on!

Playingthewaitinggame · 17/03/2008 09:57

Morning all,

Had a good weekend we were gardening in the pooring rain . Our garden now looks more like the battle of the Somme! Been building raised beds so basically now all we have is pile of earth (2 tons of it), lots of bits of scaffold boards, some of which are screwed together some aren't yet and a lawn that now looks like its had a rugby match played on it! Anyhow, in some perverse way it was actualyl quite fun to get muddy wet and put in soem hard physical work, good exercise anyhow.

Cosmos, long time no hear. Glad you are ok. Move forward to September then we will both be ttc in Sept!!!!!

Natalie, you are the duracel bunny.

Cal, We have exactly the same Hemnes range, our day bed and double chest of drawer are both from that range, although we bought them on ebay for half the price . Oh and pic wise, sorry couldnt see a thing. Mind you know idea what I was looking for, never had any pg friends so not got the eye for it yet!

Sure I have missed comments but the thread has moved on so much from Fri that by the time I have read it I have forgotten half of it!

Hi to everyone else!!!

kayzisbroody · 17/03/2008 09:47

Yes ds loved all the attention! I think he was a bit overwhelmed. He has got £115 to spread between his 5 money boxes!

Have to do it all over again on Thursday for his birthday.

Looking forward to getting my house back once my sister has gone home.
