Evening everyone.

Kinda got the computer fixed, but now the mouse won't work. Bloody thing!

Currently enjoying my Ciaran fix. Just seen an advert for Most Haunted Live. But its abroad so I wont be going

Hope everyone is ok!

PMSL LL, hehe

lardylumps · 18/03/2008 20:04

Thanks diege I will do that tomorrow. Right I am off now so will speek to you all tomorrow. Night ladies have a good one.

Diege · 18/03/2008 19:54

Hurray for Lardy's piles!!!! Get yourself some anusol and apply generously! I still have some left over after horrendous piles with dd3 - the midwive even asked permission to show medical students . As if I was going to say yes!
POPCORN, sounds very exciting, and fingers crossed that cramps are your LO burying in and making itself cosy. Cramps after ovulation are always a sign of pregnancy for me .
NJ, put that hoover away woman! Hope the day went well and you are relaxing now with a large glass of wine and box of choccies .
STAR, you have hit the nail on the head with new opps being 'overwhelming'...hopefully when they have sunk in they will seem exciting! I do worry what people at work will think about another pregnancy (though my first in the new job)which is ridiculous I know. Think I'm still very much the blue eyed girl and feel a bit about leaving them in the lurch. Wrong, wrong, wrong!!! How many dps/dhs worry about the same when their dp/dw is especting I wonder?
On the going to 2 front, I think it very much depends on the particualr family if it is a difficult transition etc...I think for me 2 did seem slightly harder than double the work, but that might have been bacise there are only 16 months between dd 1&2. If it's any consolation, going to 3 from 2 was a relative doddle
Hello to everyone else! Hopefully post again tonight before I hit the stairs!

lardylumps · 18/03/2008 19:42

TMI TMI TMI TMI

You will piss yourselves when you hear this......

Went to the toilet today (did a number one and did a number two). wiped myself and there was blood on tissue. No pain but just quite a bit of blood. I have had stomach cramps since last weekend so I thought this is it.

I cried my eyes out, called DP at work and had a go at him saying I had just come on and that it was his fault, as he was away to much and we didn't have enough sex etc....

Kept checking and there was nothing else until I went to toilet again (just number two) and it works out I have piles...

HORAHHHHH I HAVE PILES?.. I HAVE PILES... I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO HAPPY......

Just phoned DP and eaten humble pie!!!!

BeMyLilBaby · 18/03/2008 16:25

pop cld you not say that you are just a bit ill? maybe you cld tell them as they would be supportive?

OP posts:
popcornprincess · 18/03/2008 15:20

will try to wait but......we don't want to tell any friends or family that we are trying as I can't handle the 'are you pregnant yet?' questions every 5 minutes and we have a big family do planned for the sunday when they will be expecting me to get drunk as i'm normaly the token drunk at these sort of things. So, i was thinking if i tested on sunday I could tell them I was pregnant (if i even am that is) but then again not sure if we want to tell as we lost the last baby at 12 weeks. Argh!!!! the confusion over what to do! HELP!!!

BeMyLilBaby · 18/03/2008 15:18

thanks all, kays i particularly like the second one you linked, and happy i like the stall price and quality but those colours.. i bet it comes in more colours tho? i likethe idea of using it instead of buying a moses basket so thats a plus, thanks for all your links, least i know it cld be done! i'd love a quinny but hate the prices!!!

least i know sorta what i want now tho ewh?

gawd im ipatient!! hows everyone today? x

I was awful. I hate the 2ww. All those tests saying they can give you a result a week early.

You could always test on Sat/Sun with a first response test or wait until Tuesday if you can.

popcornprincess · 18/03/2008 15:03

its the tender boobs and the fact that i'm not biting everyones heads off. Normally i'm full of PMT by now. Oh, i really hope i am but I'm well aware that I might not be as all the symptoms can be the same as AF. I followed your threads the other week Kay and am now in the same boat as you were. when do you reckon I should test? i know you are supposed to wait but i'm not very patient. shall i test tomorrow when AF isn't due until tuesday someone slap me.

kayzisbroody · 18/03/2008 15:00

Hope DS has a good party Nat.

Teuch, I hope you are having a good time.

I have just remembered that I'm at work tonight. But I only have a 2 day week this week so it's not all bad.

BigTeuchLittleTeuch · 18/03/2008 14:33

Hullo! Just postin via
mobile to say happy bday
to nj ds!!
Popcorn... Promising
symptoms but anxiety is
normal! I'm bout 4dpo
and crampy but think i get
that every month...

NatalieJane · 18/03/2008 14:33

Just nipping in quick before the dreaded party begins!

Going from 1 to 2 is dependant on how you found going from 0 to 1, it seems to me (and my absolutely scientic fact finding missions - i.e. reading on MN) that if you found your first baby quite a big, difficult adjustment, then your second will be easy, but if you sailed through your first then second babies will be harder. I don't know why that is, but have picked up on this pattern over the years!

BB, I will have to check the prices but from memory the best buggy I can think of would be the either one of the Micralites (Fastfold or Toro) or a Quinny (Buzz or Zapp, or one of the Mothercare 'copies' of them which might just come in at £300) I haven't got time for links but they can all be found on Mothercare, Glasgow pram centre, Kiddiecare, or Twoleftfeet, they are all lightweight, easy to fold, and also can have the Maxi-Cosi Cabrio/Cabrio-fix, they are one of the safest car seats on the market and also is well known for fitting well in lots of different car models, so if you don't know what car it would be for, or if it's for several different cars (families/friends) then that would be my advise.

Hello everyone else, I am running now, have to hoover before I go and get DS1.

Hope you all have good afternoons and evenings, normal service will resume from me tomorrow!! xxx

happynappies · 18/03/2008 14:31

sorry, meant to say I have the Silver Cross Classic Sleepover, which has a bigger, heavier chassis.

happynappies · 18/03/2008 14:30

BMLB - I love challenges! But can I do links?

here

I'm not sure whether it suits all of your requirements, and don't have it myself, but I do have the Silver Cross Sleepover which is very similar, just bigger and heavier! I will say that the 'sleepover' aspect is great, you don't need a moses basket. It is very durable, and hasn't got fiddly bits like brake cables etc. which can malfunction (IME). The cosy toes and rain cover all comes with it, and it is GREAT in my humble opinion. Does that help? (hope my link works!)

kayzisbroody · 18/03/2008 14:23

Look at this one too. Not 100% on the fabric though.

Hi Popcorn, Symptoms sound promising. I completely understand how it feels worrying about another mc.

I had a termination about 5 years ago due to my baby(had a screaming fit at the doctor who called my lo a fetus(sp)) not forming properly and I was so scared with ds I didn't want to have a scan.

Fingers and toes are crossed for you

kayzisbroody · 18/03/2008 14:18

Tiger, I have been told by many people that it's much easier going from 1 to 2 than going from 0 to 1.

My dh is about 17 months older than his sister and apparently he was his mum's little helper too.

Here BB, don't know if it's any good. Think it may be a bit heavy. But I like it.

popcornprincess · 18/03/2008 14:13

Hi all - I'm symptom spotting today. I'm 7 dpo and my boobs are swollen and tender. I also have mild cramps. Fingers crossed but with mixed emotions in case this baby dies too. Any others symptom spotting at the moment? I've lost track of the thread as it moves so fast and I haven't been on for a few days.

BeMyLilBaby · 18/03/2008 14:08

right all here is a challenge for you (and the results will cheer me up!!)...

as i am clueless can anyone please advise, Links (to pics would be grand and greatly recieved)..

What is the best buggy? requirements:

  • Travel system all in one type - Must convert to accomodate baby lying flat facing me (for when Small) and also convert to a normal front facing buggy, and also come with carseat although car base bit not essential as currently we dont have a car!!

-must be light as will be used on buses alot, and must be able to collapse/open with one hand

-must last (as will be used for DC1 and then subsequent DC's)

  • budget up to £300 (with all bits i.e footmuff and rain cover)(max!!)
  • prefer plain colours (although obv nt most important point!)

-prefer a well known brand although not essentially

anyone care to dazzle me with oppurtunities???

Afternoon ladies. Happy Birthday to DS1 Nat! Hope you all have a lovely day.
for you Kay at your Dad's comment - they just don't think sometimes. I think you'll have a lovely age gap if you have another DC now - my brother and I were 17 months apart and apparently I was Mum's little helper when he was born (soon wore off I'm sure, but that's what siblings are for, isn't it ).
though at it snowing with you - I know it's not great if you're needing to get out and about, but if you can just play in it, it's great fun!
Diege - hope the new opportunity turns out to be exciting, rather than overwhelming. Everyone I speak to says that when they have reduced their hours, their workload stays at the same level! Will it mean you get the extra responsibility/experience and pay for a few months and then go off on maternity leave - that could work out well?! I can imagine it will be quite a workload with your teaching increasing though!
Right, am procrastinating with my workload - although in my defence, I haven't really had a lunchbreak.
Colleague popped in at lunchtime with her 15 week old DD and 3 year old DS - broody, moi?! Think DH may somehow have got to her and bribed her, 'cos I asked - is it quite easy going from 1 to 2 and she said "No", it's quite difficult really". Just the kind of response my DH wants me to hear! LOL
