Hello,

Would anyone like to join a thread for TTC after ectopic/miscarriage, or when facing other challenges eg age, PCOS etc? DP and I have just decided to try again for no2, and I'm going to come off the pill. It would be nice to have some buddies to share experiences and support each other 🙂

About me:

Pregnancy 1: conceived first cycle age 35, healthy pregnancy, DS born summer 2021 (now age 2)

Pregnancy 2: conceived first cycle age 37, ectopic, surgery November 2022

My plan is to eat well, exercise, cut out alcohol, and generally look after myself.

Because I got pregnant quickly both times, I'm hoping our chances are still good...no idea how only having the one fallopian tube is going to affect things 😬

I think I'll do OPKs but not sure about temping yet.

Would love to hear from others!

Hey @CatCaretaker thanks...yeah it sucks having your hopes raised like that. Think I'll try to wait longer next month before POAS, and have 2 brands to cross-check.

I like the boots early response ones - they're pink dye and showed up quite early for me.

There's also a clear blue ultra early digital I think it's called - it has a light in it to tell you when to stop dipping/peeing. I got a positive on that at 11 DPO. Don't waste your time with the clear blue line ones yet.

Wondfo also isn't bad.

Yes, I do have a pregnancy test problem 😅

I think the boots early tests are supposed to be good @Lostlawyer26 or a FRER (first response). The superdrug early ones I've also been using are shite btw, with weird purple dye and teensy windows, so don't bother with those! I reckon you might get a positive on a clear blue early/early digital judging by that line on your boots test there?

@YellowZ @Bugdem123 thank you for putting my mind at rest, I thought I was seeing things! I am not allowing myself to get excited after the ectopic, do you have any recommendations for tests? I have always used clearblue but worried it’s too early.

Sorry to hear about your tests @YellowZ the dreaded evaps! You never know as it’s still early!

@Bugdem123 I'm 95% sure they're evaps, as a true positive result would show across both batches? Feeling a bit down about it but...hey I guess that's one of the risks of testing early 🫤

At some point, I might post a thread with the photos to warn people, because they have a v light pink colour and everything! Grrr

@YellowZ that is a nasty evap if that's what it is! I hate that some batches of tests do this.

Um @Lostlawyer26 that's a bfp!!! Surely? It's not that faint. Can you get hold of another test later?

I did 2 tests this morning. 1 from the new box of easy@home tests, and one HCG one from my LH test pack. The one from the LH pack had a vv faint line like yesterday's, the one from the new box didn't.

So I reckon that I've had a few nasty evaps off the first batch of tests, which is sad and annoying 😥 Will post a photo in a bit when there's some daylight.

I am 10DPO and hesitant to post but does anyone else see the second line? I only had a boots test, may order better ones today.

Hello @Confusedddddddd ahh thanks! The same ones have just arrived for me! Having looked at them again on Amazon though I'm not sure why I thought there were also 25mui/l ones.

This was SMU... Another squniter but maybe with a tinge of pink this time. I'll see what it's looking like tomorrow. Still vv early days.

Bfn here this morning (I'm 8dpo, so...) I wish I had some FRER instead of the crappy tests I picked up in superdrug yesterday, which seem to create repeated phantom lines as the dye moves across. Mean. Doesn't help that DS woke me at 5.30, so I was squinting at it in the rubbish light in our bathroom.

Think I'm going to have to set myself some serious boundaries next month around testing!

I guess stage was going to be hard, as I have the ectopic at the back of my mind. I didn't test positive until after my AF for that, which I think is making me obsess over an early BFP this time round.

Oh that's good news @Confusedddddddd perfect timing with the scan. Hopefully they'll be able to reassure you about the pain. Hmm... not sure about the tests. easy@home also do 25miu tests. The 10miu ones have 'early pregnancy test' on them, but the ones I have are just 'pregnancy test'... I threw the info booklet away that came with the multipack, but I think they might be the 25miu ones. Any idea what tends to come with the LH test multipack?

How's everyone else getting on?

Well I don't know what my ovulation pain was on Monday but it's looking like my surge is starting now and that I'll ovulate on my usual cd15 (I have quite a short sharp surge). Latest test on top, and ovulation pains started a few hours later and like Monday on my side that hasn't ovulated in years.

I have a scan next month to check my ovary after the op to remove the cyst (long story short they don't know what the cyst was other than it's definitely benign). So I'll ask then if they can see any reason for the pain. Also in the unlikely event I get pregnant I'll be able to check it's not ectopic nice and early.

@Annonomous29 these apps aren't an exact science. It measures the colour of the line but it'll be a pixels width so just moving your phone camera by 1/1000 of a mm will mean a different meaning. Looking at the pics I'd say your peak is correct. A peak can last a couple of days too. And will be affected by how dilute your wee is. You'll ovulate in the next day or two.

Urgh driving myself a bit batty here! Had a v v v v faint dried-on line. Total squniter but definitely there. Most probably an evap. Then I realised my tests aren't early ones, they're 25mui ones. More tests ordered but they won't be here until tomorrow afternoon 😥 haha it's actually still too early to even get a bfp on a sensitive test let alone a 25mui one.

I have checked last night and today its showing as attached the peak shows last night just a little confused as it shows all different readings for one test when i was trying to upload the peak one it was showing 1.52 then 1.96 then 0 finally 1.38 so hoping it was the peak with some luck may catch it.
Must say this app is really good but really confusing at the same time.
@MrsB2019x Im really hoping the time goes fast as it is such a long feeling. 🙄

@YellowZ easy@home are 10miu/l. In the past, I got some positives on these when I didn't get them on other 10miu/l tests.

How are you getting on? Are you 2dpo now?
