Hello, Would anyone like to join a thread for TTC after ectopic/miscarriage, or when facing other challenges eg age, PCOS etc? DP and I have just decided to try again for no2, and I'm going to come off the pill. It would be nice to have some buddies to share experiences and support each other 🙂 About me: Pregnancy 1: conceived first cycle age 35, healthy pregnancy, DS born summer 2021 (now age 2) Pregnancy 2: conceived first cycle age 37, ectopic, surgery November 2022 My plan is to eat well, exercise, cut out alcohol, and generally look after myself. Because I got pregnant quickly both times, I'm hoping our chances are still good...no idea how only having the one fallopian tube is going to affect things 😬 I think I'll do OPKs but not sure about temping yet. Would love to hear from others!

Ah sorry @Bumblesbee84 that must have been disappointing. I imagine the left over HCG can't be helping with the emotional side of things, either.

@MrsB2019x hooray! Hope AF stays away a bit longer this time.

I got a dark OPK reading this morning (79%) so I'm expecting a peak later today or tomorrow morning.

Not sure what I think about testing on Christmas day. It seems sure to exacerbate any disappointment. I'm hoping to get to 12dpo this time instead of 7 ha ha.

Sorry I’ve been a bit awol, I was so pissed at the early AF last cycle I just got so grumpy with it all 😂 got a positive OPK this morning that had faded a fair bit by this evening so assuming I’ll ovulate tomorrow.

Hope everyone is doing okay and we get lots of Christmas BFPs! AF due roughly around the 27th so I’ll definitely test Christmas Day I think.

@lemonyfox So sorry to see you’re still in this awful situation. Makes me so angry they haven’t respected your decisions on treatment, it’s not like you don’t know what you’re talking about and making an informed decision 😠

@YellowZ the waiting continues! Hope you're not waiting too much longer.
It turns out I'm still spotting a bit. I spoke to epu today for follow phone call following medical management and they said no sex until spotting completely stopped because of infection risk. They also said to wait a cycle before trying again, although was expecting that! Will see when spotting stops... on reflection I think the positive opk was left over pregnancy hormones, I usually only get one day of solid smiley face. I did another one today and it was also blazing positive. Did a PT and it was moderately faint so definitely got pregnancy hormones in my system.

Started back at work today after 2 weeks off and my head is about to explode. Think I'm going to chill out about TTC over the next week or two until I know pregnancy hormones have gone. Had been feeling quite positive and today has felt like a bit of a step back. It's exhausting this journey!

Ahh sorry @Nic2908 that's tough. Hang in there! Have you had any ewcm? Must be crappy being all geared up for it and then it doesn't happen.

@Bumblesbee84 sorry, missed your update but glad you don't have to wait any longer. Did you manage to DTD on time?

CD11 here. According to the app, ovulation due friday, but we'll see 😬no ewcm yet despite some avid knicker checking, but it usually comes the day before ovulation for me.

I’m feeling slightly broken today. Cycle day 20 still not ovulated. So I thought maybe I’m pregnant and ovulated really early and missed it. Obviously the test was negative. Our own minds are our worst enemy, as if we don’t have enough to deal with.

@lemonyfox im so sorry for all of this worry that you are going through. Be your own advocate, it is your body and if you want tube removal then that is what you push for.

I did my first opk today and got a smiley face!! Was so surprised, only CD12 based on MC date and have had barely any EWCM when I normally get it days in advance. We haven't DTD since MC because of spotting. Which seems to have stopped today. I'm wondering if it's false positive or if I might not actually ovulate for a few days. I've been drinking all the coffee and all the wine and eating crap... so I definitely won't be holding out much hope for this cycle but will give it a good go!

Yh I think i will look at the positives atleast now I know and I am not confused.com still gutted tho😌

@lemonyfox this sounds utterly shite, I'm so sorry. It does feel like despite ectopics being not that uncommon, hospitals struggle to treat them efficiently. Hope they will operate soon x

@Confusedddddddd you're absolutely right, they had this conversation with me 4 days ago when my HCG was 2800 but they've bloody dithered so much over what to do that I'm now here with much higher HCG!

It's mad really because my second one ruptured at HCG 1214

@lemonyfox that's awful, sorry to hear you are stuck in that limbo. I though NICE guidelines for mexothrexate had a max hcg of 5000? It's annoying they aren't giving you want you want.

I had it with mine where I requested mexothexate as I really didn't want surgery, at the time hcg was 2000, they wouldn't give it to me as my hcg was coming down. In the end it ruptured when hcg was down to 400. On the plus side when it ruptured I went straight to surgery admissions not A&E as was already in the system.

Sorry I've been AWOL ladies I've been really trying not to dwell or talk about what's going on.

I've been at the hospital every single day for a week now. They've still not formally diagnosed an ectopic, but I've just had my 3rd scan in 6 days and the sonographer is fairly sure she can see it in my remaining tube now. My HCG is nearly 8000 now so how this tube is still hanging on I've no idea.

I'm really pushing for them to remove my last tube so I can be done with all these fucking ectopics, I'm sick of them. Over the weekend they were trying to push me towards methotrexate instead, considering they weren't sure where it was, but that would delay IVF etc by months and I really didn't want that.

Update ladies af showed well I thought it showed as i had a little spotting of brown then bright red litterally wiped with tissue and it was gone about 1 hr ago since then everytime i wipe i see a little red on the tissue sorry for tmi this is really getting to me now my body is messing me around. Im cycle day 31 today 14dpo

@Annonomous29 Yes i was i had ear infection the other cold/flu symptoms funny thing is i have abdo cramps since 4/5 dec its mild cramps non stop in the pelvic area and to top things up i have mild back ache constantly also i get sudden pains in the left which then moves to the right. Thats why im fed up of my body playing up.

Haha thanks for the congratulations on fertile week @CatCaretaker let's see what happens... wouldn't be surprised if I ovulate a bit later than the app thinks I will, as I always thought my cycles were on the longer side (but haven't tracked before). Sorry, I can imagine that it gets to a point where symptoms etc are a bit irrelevant, completely understandable to feel sad.

@YellowZ dont think so as when i test i get my hopes up only for it to come crashing down I think i will just wait for af to show i feel like this way i get less stressed 😩 I really don’t know what my flippin body is doing right now…

@YellowZ Haha love the "sex week" announcement to DH! I'm 11 days post medical management (so counting as CD11) and we've agreed we're just going to crack on straight away with ttc rather than wait for first period. I usually ovulate between CD12 and 14 but I've still got some brown spotting post MC so think O will be delayed. Although I haven't tried OPK so might do that later just to check. I'm trying to go with "laid back approach" but I can already feel BFN disappointment if AF turns up.

@Annonomous29 I really feel for you, this is such a tough point of the cycle I always found. I think as we get super tuned into every little body twinge when ttc as well, I definitely do. You're not out until AF shows up though...but I so know the waiting absolutely sucks. Sending hugs your way x

I caught up with a good friend this morning who is 30 weeks with DC2. I felt sad to start with, more so with her concern for me re the MC, but it was actually really nice and felt OK to be around a pregnant friend which I was glad about. I remember with MMC before DS I couldn't bare seeing pregnant women, so this feels like a strange positive. Got to take these little wins.

@Bumblesbee84 Agreed it really does suck this ttw thank you for the hugs 🤗 needed it.

Its also good that you are trying and taking baby steps its hard when everyone is getting BFPs around you and you still lingering…. Especially when you mentally prepare yourself for another one. Sending lots of love….
