TTC after ectopic/after loss/older age etc ALL WELCOME 🙂

Hello,

Would anyone like to join a thread for TTC after ectopic/miscarriage, or when facing other challenges eg age, PCOS etc? DP and I have just decided to try again for no2, and I'm going to come off the pill. It would be nice to have some buddies to share experiences and support each other 🙂

About me:

Pregnancy 1: conceived first cycle age 35, healthy pregnancy, DS born summer 2021 (now age 2)

Pregnancy 2: conceived first cycle age 37, ectopic, surgery November 2022

My plan is to eat well, exercise, cut out alcohol, and generally look after myself.

Because I got pregnant quickly both times, I'm hoping our chances are still good...no idea how only having the one fallopian tube is going to affect things 😬

I think I'll do OPKs but not sure about temping yet.

Would love to hear from others!

So happy for you all. What a lovely way to end then year.

I still do not have my period so I have no idea what the hell is going on.. im cycle day 34 today. Poas again and it was negative. So I am clueless as to what the hell has happened with my cycle this month. 😥

@YellowZ I normally get sore boobs a few days before AF. I'm not sure if it's one of those random things or if AF is coming. Definitely not a new pregnancy as we've not DTD since pre miscarriage. don't think I've ovulated before now because of continuous spotting. Thanks for the luck, totally get what you mean, I'm hoping for negative too!

@Bumblesbee84 when in your cycle do you normally get sore boobs? Glad the spotting has stopped. Feels really weird writing this, but good luck for a negative test.

@YellowZ I'm doing ok thanks, spotting seems to have finally stopped the last couple of days and got sore boobs today so think things are moving on hormonally, I hope! I'm due to poas tomorrow and epu will rescan me still positive. But I feel like things are moving in the right direction finally.

@MrsB2019x yes definitely an obvious difference between the 1st test and the 3rd test in those photos ☺️it looks very pink now? Are you 13dpo?

Here’s my line progression, 11dpo at the top then 12dpo and 13dpo… think it’s doing okay? 🤞

@MrsB2019x brilliant!! Aww congratulations. I'm reassured by the early BFPs too, given I only got faint lines a week after my period with the ectopic. I'm hoping it's a good sign? For both of us.

I told DP yesterday. But he knows that it's still v much a wait and see situation at this point.

If it's still looking good in a week or so, I think I'll join a September baby group on the pregnancy board (see, not getting carried away at all).

@YellowZ Thanks for checking in! Have attached today’s 😆 I can’t quite believe it as it took 5 months for our ectopic and 5 months with our daughter so this seems too good to be true…! I’m currently pacing the bathroom wondering whether to tell DH now or whether to do another test in the morning where hopefully it will be stronger.
Definitely do another test this afternoon and keep us updated! I’m so excited for you

@MrsB2019x how did you get on this morning with testing? My line looks the same as yesterday's. I tend to get darker tests in the afternoon though.
