Serious bad line eyes - someone confirm there's nothing there?

Someone please confirm I'm just imagining a vvvvvvvvvfl. 9dpo. I'm terrible with line eyes, so wasn't planning on testing until period due - because I end up spending ages looking at the test going is there a line, is there not?.

But... I've got a terrible cold/fever and paranoid about taking medicine not good for pregnancy, also I've been feeling really sick this morning (I know that it doesn't mean anything. - I didn't get nausea until I was 9 weeks with DC1), I haven't had the usually period cramping I get from 5dpo. I also had a tiny bit of spotting this morning.

So yeh someone please tell me I'm imagining it so I can just get on with my life...Grin

@Bl1991 Thank you :)

And only taking Pregnacare. I switched over from seven seas and think I'm going to switch back as there's loads of random extras in that now and wondering if that's making my luteal phase short. I was on Pregnacare when I conceived my daughter but it was a fairly standard list of vitamins as opposed to a load of stuff that's meant to aid fertility but from what I've read can do the opposite.

@Confusedddddddd so sorry to hear this but you’re absolutely right to look on the positive side about the fact that tube is still working - wishing you all the luck moving forward and stay kind to yourself x

Confusedddddddd · 12/11/2023 20:59

@Olika the one with water was stark blank. It's weird that it's two in a row that turned positive after a while, and that the morning one was darker than the previous nights one. I'm going to stop testing for now. I'll test again once my period is over just to be sure it's not an ectopic but I don't think it is.

If your last pics are with water then the test are crap. Are you taking any supplements to help you with TTC?

Confusedddddddd · 12/11/2023 14:46

Forgot the pic

Last night's on top, this morning's below.

They really look like what people call evaps but it weird that it's gotten darker.

Admittedly, again I didn't get to wait the whole 5 mins as my toddler was crying for me. But the other test I did which is also 10miul is negative, and still is.

I'm terrible at going back to tests and this is the first time I've ever had 'evaps'. I'm still bleeding and cramping heavily so I don't think I'm having implantation bleeding. I just did a test with just water, so if that shows a line in an hour or so then I'll know they are definitely dodgy tests. If not it may be a chemical - which I won't be completely unhappy about as that means I know my remaining tube works.

Thanks both.

It sucks, the same thing happened with this mornings Easy@home test - that there was a line a bit later. It's weird as it hasn't happened to me with these tests before.

Also period started 3 days early (9 day luteal phase as opposed to 12) - I thought they are usually late with chemicals, so I'm not even sure it could be that.

Told DH about it this morning and he went into a bit of a panic as when I had my ectopic my period came early but I was actually pregnant, and I think we're still both a bit traumatised by that (it ruptured, emergency op, etc). But I literally had pain from the day I ovulated until my period with that. So to be on the safe side I'm probably going to take another test in a couple of days.

(I'm also quite tempted to dip an easy at home test in water and see if a line appears an hour or two later!)

Sorry to hear this.

CR7 · 12/11/2023 10:42

So sorry to hear @Confusedddddddd xx

Confusedddddddd · 12/11/2023 09:43

Hmm it's not good. Started cramping badly overnight and woke up to heavy bleeding. Took 2 tests this morning which were negative.

ooh I have everything crossed for you x

maz210 · 12/11/2023 06:40

Can you test again first thing in the morning when HCG levels are higher? I definitely think congratulations are in order from that second test Smile

Confusedddddddd · 11/11/2023 23:31

It definitely is! We were aiming for a 3 yr gap, but accidentally got pregnant in May which turned out to be ectopic. We chatted just after finding out and realised we both would have really wanted this baby. Turns out I have quite a few gynae issues so surgeon told not to wait too.

I'm still not convinced as that test was stark white when I first looked at it.

I hope this is the news you wanted

maz210 · 11/11/2023 22:43

I've just added contrast to your second photo and there's definitely a line

I think there's a very faint line on the 2nd pic 🤞🏼

maz210 · 11/11/2023 22:36

Actually scrap that, I think it's picked up the edge of the test - is anyone better at editing photos? I can definitely see a line on the second photo from OP

maz210 · 11/11/2023 22:34

I just saved the second test and highlighted and greyscaled - look at the line!

DragonFly98 · 11/11/2023 22:32

Second one has a definite line.

maz210 · 11/11/2023 22:29

I see a line on your second photo. Can you edit into grayscale, as I think this can show faint lines more clearly?

fourelementary · 11/11/2023 22:27

Cramping isn’t necessarily a bad thing… all the times I’ve been pregnant I’d have sworn I was coming on to my period. The fact you’re feeling sick too… I’ve everything crossed and hope your cold/flu passes soon x

flapjackfairy · 11/11/2023 22:26

I can see a faint line on the second test but nothing on the first!

Bl1991 · 11/11/2023 22:23

@Confusedddddddd in still saying this looks promising! I’m 10dpo today and had an early positive at 8DPO but had some pretty extreme lower back cramping for the days running up (I have also got Covid so thought it was that but think it must have been related to implantation?)

keep us posted and good luck!!
