Hello all,

A new cycle unfortunately started for me today. I really thought last cycle was going to be the one but unfortunately not the case and AF has shown her ugly face!

I had an early miscarriage in early September and this was the first cycle back TTC #1

Just wondering if anyone wants to join on the journey this month - always nice to be able to speak to people in the same situation!

Baby dust to all x

@MaryHua so pleased it went well and you were able to see a heartbeat! Really good news

MaryHua · 27/12/2023 16:33

Hiya @rosecbrm
Sorry it's taken me a while to reply! I was driving back to my hometown and there were so many diversions! 😅
But all went well. Measuring 7 weeks which is bang on from when I ovulated and seen the heartbeat, so I can relax a little bit now!
It was a very emotional half hour to say the least!

rosecbrm · 27/12/2023 13:58

@MaryHua how did it go lovely? X

@MaryHua amazing! Ahh that must be reassuring to have your mum who really does know what she's talking about!

MaryHua · 26/12/2023 21:52

It's at 12.40pm tomorrow @rosecbrm
I'm all nerves! And it's gone by quickly but oh so slowly at the same time! 😂
I've got my mum and my husband coming with me tomorrow so I'm grateful for that. My mum is a midwife x

rosecbrm · 26/12/2023 20:15

@MaryHua ahhh please keep us updated on the scan, is it early or in the afternoon?

Can't believe how quickly it's gone already!! X

@Biscuitsarelife1 that's interesting to know!

Glad you're okay, at least the symptoms (as rubbish as they may be!) are signs everything is progressing.

Hopefully this month is the month, but who knows.. I'm not overly positive!

Have you got the scan booked?

OP posts:
MaryHua · 26/12/2023 20:13

My scan is tomorrow!! 🫣
Appetite has suffered this week and I'm feeling nauseous quite a lot of the day. Have barely been able to touch my Christmas dinner!!
I think a lot of it is anxiety for tomorrow too. But I will update here.

Fingers crossed this is your month @rosecbrm - you just never know!! X ✨

Biscuitsarelife1 · 26/12/2023 20:02

@rosecbrm I see- well hopefully this is your month!! I never usually had spotting before AF until we started TTC in September (really weird!) but didn't have any at all this month. And I'm good thank you, just the usual early weeks of pregnancy anxieties, can't wait to be able to go for an early scan but probably still another 2.5 weeks until I'm about 7 weeks! I did a digital CB yesterday with the dates and I was positive and 2-3 weeks so it is progressing which is a good sign! and my boobs are sooo sore, super bloated and feeling very nauseous. All good signs but still have lots of stretching and light cramping (which I know is normal)

rosecbrm · 26/12/2023 19:58

@Biscuitsarelife1 thanks lovely, good point! My luteal phase is quite short at like 12 days with some spotting before.. so a few days to go I guess!

Hope you're okay lovely x

Biscuitsarelife1 · 26/12/2023 19:55

@rosecbrm are you thinking of testing soon or just going to wait it out? I know not always the case but I always found AF would exactly 14 days after I had ovulation pains (assuming that was when I actually was ovulating), so last month when I had the pains a day earlier than predicted on the calendar, I knew AF would come a day early and it did! Might help you to calculate?

rosecbrm · 26/12/2023 19:52

@MaryHua no worries lovely! Hope you're okay, when is your scan again?

I'm at the same point, no idea when af is due cause of late ovulation!
I'm all good thanks still feeling relaxed! No signs of af yet which is good, I would imagine I'm around 9dpo ish maybe??

We had a lovely day thanks, hope you did too!

Hello @rosecbrm sorry it's taken a while to see this message. Had come off mumsnet for Christmas to try and minimise the worry!

I don't recall exactly when I felt the cramps but I believe it was for about 4 days before AF was due. But then again I couldn't tell exactly when AF would have been due because of my late ovulation and my luteal phase varied month to month.
How are you feeling?

Hope you've both had a lovely Christmas 🎄

rosecbrm · 23/12/2023 23:18

@MaryHua can you remember when you had it? I feel like the fact I'm having it now would be way too early for it to actually be anything, other than AF!

MaryHua · 23/12/2023 22:00

@rosecbrm yes I had period like cramping before my BFP and immediately counted myself out. But low and behold!
Keep us posted and best of luck xx

rosecbrm · 23/12/2023 20:04

@Biscuitsarelife1 thank you my lovely, I guess I'll just keep an eye on it. I'm not feeling to hopeful but I just really hope my late ovulation makes my luteal phase shorter than what it already is! X

OP posts:
Biscuitsarelife1 · 23/12/2023 19:49

@rosecbrm I had period like cramping yes! And still do and I remember having it for the first few weeks I've knowing. Both times I've now had my BFPs I had cramping before like period. Nothing major or too painful but was absolutely convinced I was going to come on, the only thing that was different for me this month to the other 3 was my CM drying up completely and being a lot less, then a few days of it being a little creamy, and no spotting the few days before. Really hope it's good news for you 🤞🏼

rosecbrm · 23/12/2023 19:39

Random question ladies @MaryHua @Biscuitsarelife1

Did either of you get what feels like mild period pains prior to your BFPs? I'm worried that even though my ovulation was late, I'm still going to come on my period when I was originally due which would be within the next few days, thus obviously my luteal phase not being long enough!

If I had to guess, I would assume I'm anywhere between 4/5/6 dpo?

Hope you're both feeling ok xx

Will do!
And merry Christmas to you both @rosecbrm @Biscuitsarelife1 🎄

Have a lovely Christmas if we don't speak before ladies xxx

Oh absolutely @rosecbrm
Keeping everything crossed for you 🤞 ✨

rosecbrm · 20/12/2023 08:18

@Biscuitsarelife1 definitely will do! It helps not knowing what DPO I am so the resistance to testing is hopefully going to be strong!

Would be nice to have this thread with all 3 of us having a positive outcome 🤞🏼 x
