Hello all,

A new cycle unfortunately started for me today. I really thought last cycle was going to be the one but unfortunately not the case and AF has shown her ugly face!

I had an early miscarriage in early September and this was the first cycle back TTC #1

Just wondering if anyone wants to join on the journey this month - always nice to be able to speak to people in the same situation!

Baby dust to all x

rosecbrm · 26/01/2024 16:41

Thank you so much @MaryHua 🤍🤍

@Biscuitsarelife1 crikey what a time of it you had! Appendicitis in the middle is scary! But good on you for getting through it.
Fingers crossed the second trimester is smooth sailing this time completely for you.

I work as a dentist so it's not a great job for weak stomachs so I'm really apprehensive about starting back but I'll just have to accept my limits.

@rosecbrm that's so good to hear that you're in a good place this cycle. I felt the same after having the anatomy scan. Such relief.
And I second what @Biscuitsarelife1 said. Your GP seems to really care and want to help with this matter if needed so that's a great comfort too.
Take care and keep yourself busy, as we all know what this 2WW feels like and can play tricks on us. It's horrible but please reach out if you want a chat/rant at any stage xx

rosecbrm · 26/01/2024 16:13

@Biscuitsarelife1 @MaryHua thanks both!

Glad to hear your scan went well.

I'm feeling good testing wise, I must say i think this is probably the most relaxed I've been since TTC.. I think just having the reassurance that everything anatomically is ok, and a plan in place to check everything else really helps! Will keep you ladies updated - thanks so much for asking! X

It's such a horrible feeling isn't it. I WFH a lot so just been hiding in my bed there! I think mine completely stopped around 16 weeks last time. It eased off at like 13/14 then I was really ill again for a week then felt amazing! Then had appendicitis at 19 weeks so was in hospital- such fun times lol! And yes still kept hold of my appendix @MaryHua

MaryHua · 26/01/2024 14:35

Definitely worth enquiring about @Biscuitsarelife1 🙏
Oh bless you, you've had the full works! Thankfully I've never been sick, but retching on the worst days. And the nausea settled last week but returned this week with a vengeance. Really hoping by my second trimester starting that it settles properly as I'm due to return to work after some lovely time off. (Spent in bed) 😂

Biscuitsarelife1 · 26/01/2024 14:05

@MaryHua I may try actually, seems like such a long time away! I was always measuring ahead last time too and was nearly 14 weeks at that first scan too!

I'm okay, still nauseous and lots of dry heaving. Haven't been sick for about a week though. How about you?

MaryHua · 26/01/2024 14:01

@Biscuitsarelife1 ah that must seem like an extra stretch, even that extra 2 weeks. Would you consider asking to be brought forwards?
How are you with symptoms at the moment? X

Biscuitsarelife1 · 26/01/2024 13:29

@rosecbrm glad to hear you're good and sounding positive! Fingers crossed for you this month. It sounds good your doctor is taking you seriously too - hopefully it won't come to that though! :)

@MaryHua pleased to hear your scan went well too! I have mine Feb 20th but will be nearing 14 weeks as I was measuring ahead. By dates I'm 9 weeks today but by early scan measurements I'm 10 weeks tomorrow!

MaryHua · 26/01/2024 13:27

Scan went well and little one measuring 11+3.
My due date is 13th August 🥰

MaryHua · 25/01/2024 18:37

Thank you @rosecbrm
Will hopefully have a nice update tomorrow with a more accurate due date too.

Sounds promising for you, and at least you have a plan in place so you know that you're not in limbo and can move forward with more information. How are you feeling about testing? X

rosecbrm · 25/01/2024 08:44

@MaryHua @Biscuitsarelife1

hope both of your appointments go well ✨

I'm feeling good! We BD a lot this cycle and we also used fertility lube & different vitamins.. so I feel like we've give it our best shot! I'm very much in the mindset of if it's meant to happen it will!

If not this month, my doctors want to run some blood tests to check my hormone levels at 2 different stages in the cycle, so at least if it's not this month I have something in place to get it checked!

Good to hear that things are starting to settle @Biscuitsarelife1 - the nausea has been the worst part for me. And the exhaustion.
Good luck with your booking in appointment!
I have my 12 week scan (though I'm more like 11+2 as I ovulated late) tomorrow and I'm very nervous about it...

@rosecbrm how are you feeling about this month? Did you use OPKs? Fingers crossed and baby dust ✨

rosecbrm · 25/01/2024 08:08

@MaryHua hey lovely, I'm okay thanks! 6/7dpo today. Hope you're both well xx

@MaryHua thanks for checking in! I'm okay thank you, sickness is starting to ease but still very very tired. Have my first midwife appt tomorrow. How about you? X

MaryHua · 25/01/2024 00:27

Hello both!
@rosecbrm @Biscuitsarelife1
Hope you're well. How is everything? X

rosecbrm · 14/01/2024 16:30

@MaryHua @Biscuitsarelife1 thank you lovelies.

Glad you're both doing okay (apart from the PG symptoms!) and pregnancies are going well.

Hopefully I can join you on the journey soon 🤞🏼 x

That's wonderful @Biscuitsarelife1
A lovely relief to get to 8 weeks and see the heartbeat.
Hope you don't have too many severe symptoms.
I'm currently experiencing insomnia which explains why I'm replying at this strange time!

Biscuitsarelife1 · 13/01/2024 18:50

Scan was all good- heart beating nicely and measuring slightly ahead at 8 weeks!

MaryHua · 13/01/2024 12:14

Hiya both!! @rosecbrm @Biscuitsarelife1

Lovely to check in with you guys.
I'm so glad that you got the scan @rosecbrm to be able to get that peace of mind that there is nothing anatomically standing in your way. That's a huge relief!
Let us know how you get on at the doctor's!

Best of luck @Biscuitsarelife1 for your early scan today! I'm sure all will be well, sounds like your fatigue and sickness are all good signs even if they are tough to live with.

I'm good, extremely tired as well and have had bad nausea but it seems to be easing now as I'm getting closer to 10 weeks. Thank goodness because it's debilitating! I really take my hat off to those women who have other kids to look after- I don't know how you manage it!! X

Biscuitsarelife1 · 13/01/2024 10:12

@rosecbrm hello lovely! Was actually going to post on here today to see how you was getting on! Glad to hear the scan went well and everything is looking as it should and definitely a good idea to go to the doctors to check hormones then you can feel confident everything is all as it should be when you're trying. I weirdly never had spotting before periods at all before, only in the months we started it trying which is odd- no idea why!

And I'm doing OK, this pregnancy is a lot tougher than the first not sure if it's because I have a crazy two year old to chase after, but the fatigue is next level, and had a fair bit of sickness. I have an early scan today just to get some reassurance all is OK so can update you guys later :) x

rosecbrm · 13/01/2024 09:56

@MaryHua @Biscuitsarelife1 hello ladies, hope you're both doing okay?

I just wanted to update you guys, I went for a pelvic fertility scan this morning (assuming similar to what you had @MaryHua) just to check all was ok etc and everything's checking out exactly as it should!

Currently CD13, she can see that I have a slightly larger follicle on my left ovary which she thinks I will ovulate from in the next few days so that's very reassuring!

I have a doctors appointment Wednesday to discuss my hormone levels, as I'm not sure if the MC/spotting is linked to having low progesterone, but we'll see what they say!

Hope you're pregnancies are going well xx

Happy new year to you both @rosecbrm and @Biscuitsarelife1

Sorry to hear about AF arriving. But at least you know now and no more waiting.
Such a rollercoaster as you say and nature isn't fair the way it teases at times!
My husband is exactly the same - telling me to be patient. But we have to remember they don't have the surge of hormones every time we expect our period etc. so they cannot comprehend our yearning.

It's still very early days and the odds are very much in your favour @rosecbrm to conceive and have a healthy baby. So in all likelihood you will be celebrating in the coming months xx

Biscuitsarelife1 · 01/01/2024 14:17

@rosecbrm ah I'm sorry to hear that- I hope you're doing OK! My husband was the exact same and kept telling me to stop being impatient which is easier said than done. Lots of baby dust for the months ahead ✨

rosecbrm · 01/01/2024 14:11

Happy new year ladies!!

@Biscuitsarelife1 I've come on my period today I think unfortunately - I was expecting it but what a roller coaster month!

Going to try keep positive for January. My husband keeps saying I need to give myself time, especially after the miscarriage. Doesn't help when I'm super impatient!

I know we'll get there one day hopefully 🤞🏼

Hope you're both well 🥰 xx
