Hello all,

A new cycle unfortunately started for me today. I really thought last cycle was going to be the one but unfortunately not the case and AF has shown her ugly face!

I had an early miscarriage in early September and this was the first cycle back TTC #1

Just wondering if anyone wants to join on the journey this month - always nice to be able to speak to people in the same situation!

Baby dust to all x

@rosecbrm
Still no smiley face!
Normally it's CD 15 and it's now CD 18 so feeling quite disheartened by it all. Really don't want to waste time with an anovulatory month, but it might be the case.
Been googling symptoms like crazy and convinced I have every infertility thing going!
If my smiley face had come when it should I think I would have been calmer.
So much for my chilled out month! Haha

rosecbrm · 19/11/2023 09:00

@MaryHua I feel you! I often feel like that, or constantly worry that there's something wrong with me and I don't know it...

Ahh that's good, no TMI here haha! Keep me updated, hopefully today's the day for you!

Ahh thank you so much, yes you too! It's lovely to have someone at pretty much the same point as me in the cycle! Xx

@rosecbrm
Had a bit of a wobble earlier as I ruminated about friends or acquaintances seemingly falling pregnant as soon as they start trying and panicking that I'd never get there. Feeling a bit emotional but think that's all part of the process.

DTD today anyway due to EWCM (TMI apologies!!) and surely my smiley face can't be far off - fingers crossed for tomorrow!

Otherwise all ok with me 😁
Glad to hear that you're doing alright so far!
Feel free to check in if you ever need an ear to listen x

rosecbrm · 18/11/2023 23:28

@MaryHua hopefully it will be soon! Mine vary by a day or 2 each cycle!

Yes all good thanks, 3dpo today and haven't thought about it tooooo much! Hope you're ok x

@rosecbrm
No smiley face for me yet. CD17 now, some EWCM but that's it. Bit disheartened that my cycle lengths are varying because for the first couple of months after having the implant removed my cycles were exactly 28 days and ovulation and periods came on the day they were predicted.
How are you feeling now in your 2WW? X

rosecbrm · 16/11/2023 14:30

Thank you, you too! @MaryHua

I really feel so calm this month. Hope everyone else is ok x

MaryHua · 16/11/2023 14:02

@rosecbrm
Oh I hope so, and there has to be truth in it otherwise the chances of pregnancy each month would be very low indeed.

Best of luck! Sounds like we will be in the 2WW together ✨

Anyone else in the 2WW at the moment?

rosecbrm · 16/11/2023 12:16

@MaryHua exciting! I reckon so? You'd like to think they wouldn't say it if not!

MaryHua · 15/11/2023 22:53

@rosecbrm I'm CD 14 at the moment, so I reckon Friday or Saturday I'll see the smiley face. Might rely on that theory of "sperm survive 5 days" trick... do you think they actually do?! 🤔

rosecbrm · 15/11/2023 21:21

Haha thank you! @MaryHua

Ah so is that in a few days for you? Typical it's always the way isn't it. You'll have to try sneak off quickly 😅 x

@rosecbrm
Ooh that's exciting! Happy baby dancing!

Nothing for me yet I'm afraid. Usually it's CD14/15 for me, but last month CD16/17 were my smiley faces. So could be a later peak again this time. Not ideal though as we are going to my parents-in-law for the weekend so it's typical poor timing haha

rosecbrm · 15/11/2023 18:03

Hey @MaryHua ! Hope you're ok.. I had my positive yesterday so ovulation today I think!

What about you? X

@rosecbrm
Any positive OPKs for you yet?

rosecbrm · 13/11/2023 18:18

@MaryHua I feel completely the same!

Ahh thank you, I'm honestly fine! Unfortunately for us women it's all too common.

I feel you, that's exactly how I was last month. Defo don't want to be doing that again! X

I’m pretty sure I ovulated today just have to confirm with bbt tomorrow. We dtd yesterday but not the day before as we were too tired.

MaryHua · 12/11/2023 17:06

@rosecbrm
Oh absolutely! This is my first month on a forum, speaking to others going through the same thing, as I found having no one to talk to about it very challenging. Anyone I do speak to already have children which can be very helpful, but it isn't the same.

I'm so very sorry to hear about your early MC. Hope you're doing ok. And it must make you guard your heart even more closely.

Regarding the pregnancy tests, I'm exactly the same now. I'd rather wait to see if a period comes than test and squint at the window and try and come up with reasons in my head to explain how I am pregnant really but the test isn't sensitive enough yet... it's brutal.

rosecbrm · 12/11/2023 16:58

@MaryHua absolutely same here! I came off the pill nearly 2 years ago now, but we weren't ready to start trying until this summer. This will be the 3rd cycle TTC for us, I got pregnant the first cycle but ended in an early MC. I am the same with over thinking, I drive myself crazy!
I haven't even bought any pregnancy tests this month, I have 2 easy @ homes left from my previous cycle. I'm hoping by not buying them it will stop the temptation to test early as I feel more chilled this month.

@Biscuitsarelife1 ahh exciting times heading into the TWW, good that you feel more relaxed!

Glad we all have eachother to speak to, not sure about you guys b it DH doesnt understand really, he just says 'surely the more sex the better' or 'why are you testing before you've missed your period' 😂 both very valid statements though! X

@Biscuitsarelife1
Well here's hoping for a nice calm month with a good sprinkling of baby dust for all of us! ✨

Keeping busy is the key. I'm a chronic googler to the point where I sometimes have to limit my phone time in the 2WW. It's so very hard to do though.

MaryHua · 12/11/2023 15:56

@rosecbrm yes baby number 1 for us! Got my implant out mid-August so not many cycles so far, but I'm the sort of person who overthinks, panics and assumes the worst when it comes to fertility so for me to be calmer this month is bizarre.

@Biscuitsarelife1 best of luck now for your 2WW!
Hope your relaxed attitude towards it sees you through the wait 😊 as for cramping not being so bad, I find the same every second month. A bad month then an easier month with ovulation cramping. So I'm wondering if one of my ovaries finds it harder to release an egg? Just a musing, I actually have no real clue on the biology of it.

For once I have a busy couple of weeks coming up so hoping that'll keep my mind off googling every little symptom I get - lol IYKYK.

Maybe a good point about the ovulation pain! I don't tend to alternate ovaries each month (from what I can feel anyway) but definitely could be why.

My peak was Friday morning and I've ran out of tests now but deffo ovulated Friday afternoon/evening as I had the usual cramps I get however no near as bad as they usually are which is unusual! But I think that's all done for this month now. Also feel the same that I'm like just a bit like blah whatever but we shall see

rosecbrm · 12/11/2023 13:21

@MaryHua sounds like we're in a really similar mindset! Is this for baby #1? X

MaryHua · 12/11/2023 11:54

@rosecbrm
I also miscalculated my CD before as AF came on the 2nd Nov but I kept counting from 1st Nov (as first day of the month) 🤦🏻‍♀️
So yeah, I'm a cycle day behind you

MaryHua · 12/11/2023 11:52

@rosecbrm
I'm feeling very like you actually this month too! I'm definitely more "chilled" than last month, even having to remind myself to take OPKs... but you never know how I'll be by the end of the week.
We have a huge move planned across the country before Christmas so maybe that's taking up my focus.
I'm CD 11 at the moment and negatives so far.
