Hi all... just passing by to see if there were any new messages... this whole wait is so boring... this whole thing actually sucks so bad....

CR7 · 15/11/2023 23:02

@Valentina1985 not sure what argc is. If it's a clinic, no I was with Care fertility in Manchester xx

Valentina1985 · 15/11/2023 19:43

@CR7 , I forgot... are you with ARCG? Reading their materials, it seems the monitoring cycle is without medication, actually, but not sure....

CR7 · 15/11/2023 18:36

@Valentina1985 potentially xx I had had two and they still did it. Never heard of a mock transfer not being the full shebang x

Valentina1985 · 15/11/2023 12:33

Wow @CR7 ! Interesting... I had three transfers in the last 2 years though. Do you think they would go for a full mock test in any case?

CR7 · 14/11/2023 23:04

Also had progesterone test on transfer day and it was still very low even with longer on the pessaries so I had lubion injections for the first 12 weeks x

CR7 · 14/11/2023 23:03

We did Hysteroscopy at same time but it showed nothing of interest

CR7 · 14/11/2023 23:02

Valentina1985 · 14/11/2023 22:36

@CR7 , are you at the same clinic? Do they give you any drugs in this mock cycle or is it mainly blood tests and ultrasounds? I just had a hysteroscopy following results of a saline scan...

Mine was a full mock cycle. Exactly as it would be if we were transferring. Scans, drugs and everything. We wanted it to be an exact replica of a cycle. On what would have been transfer day I had the endemetrio test and that what gave results that changed everything. My microbiome was off, I took some vaginal probiotics and also my endometrium wasn't ready for the transfer (displaced implantation window) so if we had transferred it wouldn't have worked.

This informed my next transfer as I was on more progesterone and for longer than the standard amount. I was also on blood thinners and steroids

Hi there.. I am sorry but this feels so quiet and I am so lonely on this wait.
Had my first consultation with ARGC today. It does sound like very intense. The doctor also gave me no clarity on exactly what will be done and said it will depend on the result of tests. She mentioned EVERYTHING though: daily blood tests, sometimes twice a day, intense monitoring, potential 'trial monitoring cycle', tests for immunotherapy and hysteroscopy. I had implantations before and just had a hysteroscopy so some of these things dont seem applicable.
Afraid that this trial round will also mean another full month of delay...
Does any of you have experience there and know if these were just warnings of they tend to happen, really?

I had a mock cycle in order to have the Hysteroscopy/ endemetrio testing on what would have been transfer day. I found that cycle particularly hard because I was doing everything knowing I wasn't going to have a transfer, but for me things were discovered so I was very glad in the end.

It is daunting but it sounds like they don't want to rule anything out and want to make sure that your treatment is personal to you and not just standard which is a good thing xx

@Valentina1985 I'm so sorry, it's so heartbreaking. Hope you have support around you and can take some time to recover ❤️ I am with you in now waiting for the next bloody round xxx

Valentina1985 · 10/11/2023 16:57

Thank you all! This was a sad day... off we go to another round...

CR7 · 10/11/2023 12:29

@Valentina1985 sending lots of
Love xxx

WholeZebra · 10/11/2023 12:00

@SarahShorty the wait for the viability scan is far far worse than the TWW. I drove myself crazy symptom spotting. You’re doing so well, try and remain positive, I know it’s so hard!

@Valentina1985 I’m so sorry :(.

TheBirdintheCave · 10/11/2023 09:41

@Valentina1985 I'm so sorry :(

Valentina1985 · 10/11/2023 09:37

Morning all, end of the wait for me.. Negative.

SarahShorty · 10/11/2023 09:03

@Triselly thank you xx Apart from the constant worry, I am doing okay. This whole thing is private so the scan is also private. I can bring the scan date forward by a week, but I want them to be able to see more, especially the heartbeat.

@TheBirdintheCave My scan date is 20th of November, so 10 days from now. Thank you for the reassurance xx

@SarahShorty What day is the scan? The odds are in your favour that everything is still ok ❤

Triselly · 10/11/2023 07:20

@SarahShorty Hope you’re doing ok xxx I am sure your baby is absolutely fine, and as @CR7 said - this wait sounds absolutely awful. I have heard so many women in the infertility community talk about how the anxiety really ramps up during pregnancy and how difficult this is, I am sending you a hug ❤️

Would you have the option of going for a private scan, just to put your mind at ease?

CR7 · 08/11/2023 20:42

@SarahShorty everything you're feeling is so normal and I defo found it harder waiting for the scan than the two week wait xx

SarahShorty · 08/11/2023 20:23

DH and I are worried that the baby hasn't made it. The last test I did was with a Clearblue weeks counter and that was last week. The day of the first scan at 7 weeks is a day we have off work, so if it's bad news, we can come home and cry. This is by far the worst two week wait we've ever gone through.

This is soo cool to hear! You are all there! Congrats!

TheBirdintheCave · 07/11/2023 20:29

@SarahShorty About 4+2. Didn't come back until 5+6 :)

CR7 · 07/11/2023 19:54

@WholeZebra I'm so sorry to hear. Hopefully it will get easier xx
