Positive test at 6dpo

I took a test at 6dpo and it come up as a very faint line (top one). A couple hours later I just needed to take another in case it was a fault, again it come up with a similar line.

Can anyone give me advice? We’ve been trying for 7-months with our first and it’s becoming quite stressful. I’ve been feeling dizzy on and off and have very sore boobs - to the point where I couldn’t lay on my stomach at night a few nights ago. I’ve also felt a lot of cramping at 1-4 dpo which has stopped now.

Looking forward to some help!

@riverlodge90 I took another this morning (7dpo) and was faint. I then took a Clear Blue this afternoon and negative. So I’m just going by that it’s not my month. Here’s my chart. What do you think? I don’t really clock the amount I have inntercourse as I feel it can get addictive logging.

Op I’m exactly the same dpo and you and have similar symptoms (apart from the faint tests)
🤞🏻🤞🏻 this turns into a bfp

I’ve been using Natural Cycles for over a year and this month I tracked my ovulation since the day I finished my period - so pretty sure it’s 6. Could possibly be 7. My BBT raised during the time I think I ovulated - guess you can never be sure?

Could you post your chart? I use NC too.
It's almost impossible to get a positive test at 6DPO, so it's likely you ovulate earlier.
Have you taken any other tests?

Jee95 · 26/10/2023 14:31

Oh I didn’t know this. I’ll test in the next few days. I’m really hoping this is my month.

Definitely can never be sure! Even tracking BBT, LH and CM you can’t be sure even to the day. Like there can be quite a variation in how long after ovulation you get a temp shift for eg (I think it can be up to about 4 days?) it’s fascinating!

Possible you could have O day wrong (as it’s impossible to know exactly when you ovulate), and maybe you’re later than 6DPO?

Jee95 · 26/10/2023 13:25

Thank you - I’m really holding onto hope here!

it's really too early to tell for sure, unless you ovulated earlier than you think. Wait until closer to when AF due

Olika · 26/10/2023 12:52

It could be start of a line but this early on it's really hard to tell. Try to wait until next week. Good luck 🤞🏼

Jee95 · 26/10/2023 12:33

Thank you! It’s really hard waiting. Especially when we’ve been trying for some time now.

I think 6dpo is too early to tell. I think even the most sensitive tests only pick up a positive at 8dpo. Although it's so hard, it can sometimes be better to wait until you miss a period to test again. Wishing you the very best.
