@H0pefull I'm sorry about your BFN this morning. I got a negative test at 12 DPO and then a really strong positive at 15 DPO so there could still be a chance? I know it's tough to get your hopes up over and over again though. Wishing you all the best things xx

FigandHoney · 25/10/2023 11:15

@H0pefull I am sorry you got a BFN this morning after yesterday's excitement. Could your urine just be more diluted today?

@SnookyPook Oh what a rollercoaster. Well I really hope tge numbers keep increasing nicely from here and you get to see your bean on an ultrasound.
I do think some women just gave a slower build-up of HCG at the start. I certainly did with my son. Never got my blood drawn. But eventhough through temping and opks I knew when I ovulated, I did not get a BFP until 4 days after my missed AF. So 17dpo. And then it was faint and took a while to get darker.

@VixFromThe6ix I am so sorry you got tge sad news you lost your beans twin. How gutting. And you really don't need the extra stress of the tests being unclear.

Gingerblueeyes · 25/10/2023 09:30

@SnookyPook @VixFromThe6ix fingers crossed for you both!!

H0pefull · 25/10/2023 09:23

@SnookyPook I’m 11 DPO today so feel quite sure something would be showing by now. I have one FRER but I don’t want to waste it until if / when AF doesn’t arrive tomorrow x

Khanga27 · 25/10/2023 09:23

@SnookyPook I was thinking about you yesterday really hoping you would get some positive news. I hope on Thursday you get some good news too!!

@H0pefull oh I'm sorry to see your update. Is it worth trying another brand? How many do are you?

@VixFromThe6ix I'm sorry to see your update with both good and bad news, and to see your worries. I hope you are okay.

I'm 7/8 days dpo (I got my clearblue ovulation static smily last tuesday), and despite me not expecting success this cycle at all, I just feel like time is dragging so much! I've had on-off sickness all week so far and just no energy at all so i think I've caught a bug from somewhere as well, so just generally feeling a bit sorry for myself.

CurlyWurly1991 · 25/10/2023 09:13

@SnookyPook yep, there are amazing stories out there! Normal ranges are just norms, there is always space for some surprises… nature is clever after all and there is a lot that is not yet understood about fertility. After all I said above my daughter was then born at 38 weeks naturally and perfect. Good size! So I must just cook them well haha

SnookyPook · 25/10/2023 09:08

@H0pefull oh gosh that's crushing 😞 Hope you're ok. Sorry to ask again but what dpo are you now? Is there still a possibility?

@CurlyWurly1991 oh really? I just don't know what to think any more. More patience is needed 😩 Tbh I've got a bit worried about things like ectopics now so trying not to go down a bad rabbit hole!! Your story gives me a little hope - thank you! A lady has just replied to me on a thread I started to say that with her DS she measured 5+2 when she should be 7 weeks (and her ovulation dates were confirmed) - they were convinced it would be a loss but he then developed normally and is now excelling as a very bright teen. So they 'lost' two weeks of pregnancy somehow but all was ok... 🤷🏼‍♀️🙏

H0pefull · 25/10/2023 09:00

@CurlyWurly1991 i used another test from the same Wondfo box as yesterday, must just be some dodgy ones in there as 2 yesterday gave me the same result with a line with colour xx

CurlyWurly1991 · 25/10/2023 08:55

@H0pefull gosh, I’m so sorry. I thought the wondfo were pretty good? Did you use a different test this morning? Ugh what a rollercoaster this is. I’m sorry if this hasn’t worked out, how cruel TTC can be xx

H0pefull · 25/10/2023 08:50

@VixFromThe6ix what a mixed bag of emotions for you, you must feel all over the place!! Fingers crossed for some good developments for you, but of course absolutely understand your anxieties 🤍

@CurlyWurly1991 this all sounds promising for you 🤞🏻 fingers crossed this is your month xx

stark Negative for me this morning, I think I must have just had a nasty indent / evap line on the Wondfo tests yesterday x

CurlyWurly1991 · 25/10/2023 08:43

There is so much going on in this thread right now!! Ups and downs and mixed emotions…
@VixFromThe6ix how bittersweet to hear that news… I’m sorry to hear that one of the twins stopped developing… i wonder how common that is, probably more than we realise? I hope you will get some additional scans/ reviews based on the higher risk bracket that has been identified? It sounds like you are getting good support from the medical team, would you say?

@SnookyPook I was soooo hoping you would get some good news!! Because I have a similar story from my first (and only) pregnancy with my daughter. We were in limbo for weeks, then had the early ultrasound and saw the heartbeat… all was well. I was also spotting which may have been unrelated. Basically my pregnancy tests were incredibly faint even at 18-20dpo and my hcg was slow to rise. But that can be normal too. It sounds as if you are now meeting the expected thresholds so 🤞 it stays that way and you have an easy 9 months ahead !!

news from me… not as much drama but still exciting, as it looks like I’ve (finally) ovulated about day 25. I’ve had such long/intermittent cycles over the past few months it has been getting me down. Had a good temp rise this morning and increase in RHR so really hoping ovulation is confirmed and I can go for the day 21 (equivalent) blood test on 31st Oct.

SnookyPook · 24/10/2023 22:51

@Angelsrose will do ❤️

Angelsrose · 24/10/2023 22:46

Wishing you the very best @SnookyPook please keep us updated

SnookyPook · 24/10/2023 22:28

@VixFromThe6ix yes - very much at the lower end, but supposedly within the norm for this gestation.

4+1 - HCG 69
5+2 - HCG 137
6 - HCG 598

So the 5+2 was really poor basically took 8 days to double instead of 2-3. But the one today has doubled twice since last Thurs.

So if on Thurs it has got above 1000, they will book the scan. I was really really expecting that it would have gone down or plateaued today. Was not expecting textbook doublage. So... More patience now needed.

VixFromThe6ix · 24/10/2023 22:18

@SnookyPook what a twist indeed!! But a good twist, no? Is it putting your hcg levels into the right week that you might be? Gosh, I hope everything turns out for you 🤞🏻🙏💕 I can't wait for an update from your scan.

SnookyPook · 24/10/2023 21:52

Thanks everyone. Well the plot thickens . So just spoke with nurse a few mins ago... My bloods have perfectly doubled since last Thurs.. if it wasn't for that weird first week, they would be textbook. But I definitely ovulated when I thought and the BFP date confirms that. So I don't really know what to think. She said if they've doubled again by Thurs that will put me above threshold for a scan after all... Basically in complete and utter limbo still. I don't know whether to be glad that there still seems to be hope, or annoyed, which might sound really odd but I just can't help feeling it surely can't be great that the HCG dithered about so much in the first week?! I guess just keep taking it one day at a time as I have been doing and trust that I will cope with whatever is thrown my way...

@VixFromThe6ix ah sorry to hear your mixed bag of news. That must be really poignant finding out about the twin. And definitely understand your concerns re possible affecting the other tests etc. Sending you hugs and good vibes. Xx

ChildrenOfTheQuorn · 24/10/2023 21:26

I'm not new to the thread, this is like my third 35+ thread now!

EvelynKatie · 24/10/2023 20:42

@SnookyPook so sorry to hear your news. Hopefully you hear something today.

VixFromThe6ix · 24/10/2023 20:40

@SnookyPook I'm sorry how today went :( I know you wanted answers. I hope your blood test results give you more answers. Also sounds like there is a plan if this doesn't pan out which is great. I hope you're staying strong. I can imagine how stressed you've been about this. We are the unfortunate ones that just because there is a line on that test, it doesn't give us cause for celebration quite yet. We are all here for you 💕

Thanks everyone for the congratulations. I just had a chat with my doctor and apparently we had a twin pregnancy and one stopped developing at 5 weeks. So, like I'm happy one is at least where it should be but kind of sad a bit that we lost another pregnancy. So she said they will send me for another ultrasound in two weeks to see how things are progressing. Being 40 and having this twin pregnancy puts me into an even higher bracket for miscarrying the one that survived. She also said that we might have skewed blood test results for important checks (like the one that you do for downs), so we will have to look at other alternatives. Just when I thought yay good news lol now I'm stressed again. And I got this weird cramping after the ultrasound. Gah. Whatever. Sorry. I gotta learn to take the wins. Today is still a win.

@EvelynKatie I wish you luck with cycle 4!
@SnookyPook sorry to hear your news. I hope you hear from the nurse soon.

EvelynKatie · 24/10/2023 20:11

Another new thread! They move so fast (unlike the TWW 😂)

congrats @H0pefull !! And fingers crossed for a sticky bean.

On with cycle 4 for me!

Gingerblueeyes · 24/10/2023 20:08

Thanks for the welcome ladies! Hopefully we can hold each other hands as we navigate this journey! Never thought I’d be 41 and POAS even though I know it’s too early!!!

H0pefull · 24/10/2023 19:22

So sorry @SnookyPook 🤍 however I’m glad the nurse you spoke to was so nice, it sounds like she was very understanding which is exactly what you need in this situation, it makes such a difference doesnt it. Still hopeful for some good news from your bloods, but it’s good to know that you have a plan in place if it doesn’t go how you were hoping.
lots of love to you tonight, hope you are being kind to yourself during this time xx

FigandHoney · 24/10/2023 19:17

@SnookyPook I am sorry you didn't get a scan and so far clear answer. I hope that whatever the result is, gives you peace. And that is good that she has connections and you can potentially if needed at least jump the hurdle of referral.

@VixFromThe6ix Congratulations on seeing the heartbeat! I do believe that is indeed a big step in reducing tge risk. Hoping it continues to progress nicely.

@H0pefull That line definitely looks more pink. I completely get the urge to test especially once you got a potential BFP. Don't feel bad if you end up testing again. But you should definitely get a stronger line in 48h.

Welcome to the thread @ChildrenOfTheQuorn @Gingerblueeyes @Sunny192 . Lots of lovely ladies here. And hopefully all the recent BFPs will drop some baby dust for all of us.

This is such a supportive thread. At the same time I keep wondering if I should try to keep myself of tge Internet. And if I am obsessing too much and it might prevent me from conceiving.

Had some EWCM today. I think. We BDed yesterday. And I always struggle to discern between leftovers and fertile CM.
But I think we are approaching ovulation. Although my ppks are still light. Only CD8 and normally ovulate around CD13. So still 4 days to go. Is this early to have EWCM? Could I potentially ovulate earlier than usual?

Fullofconfusion · 24/10/2023 19:09

A thread of mixed emotions at the moment.

@VixFromThe6ix that’s amazing. I can imagine that seeing that little bean was a huge relief. So happy for you

@SnookyPook I’m sorry your news wasn’t better. You seem very at peace with whichever way it goes. I hope it is good news and if not I hope that you can get the help you need quickly

Another couple of hopeful positives too! I have everything crossed for you ladies.

I’m CD33. No more sore boobs, no more cramps as if AF may start but I’m so hungry and incredibly irritable so I expect my body is preparing for it. It’s really frustrating being in the limbo of waiting for AF after stopping contraception. I just want it over with so I know everything is getting back on track. We actually DTD plenty this month due to being on holiday but I don’t think I have much chance of falling pregnant that quickly
