@Mrsspoon3 welcome and I'm sorry to read you're struggling and about your chemical last month, sounds so tough. I totally get how hearing that news can be difficult when you're struggling as well. We had some friends share their news after we found out about MMC, and both due same month as we would have been. I was so happy for them, but had a pang of sadness too about things. How long have you been trying?

Cressie2 · 31/10/2023 10:17

@Mrsspoon3 thats really really tough. I totally understand feeling the way you do. I had dinner with some NCT friends and they were all pregnant again but not me. I was really happy for them but cried on the way home and wanted to be joining them/they don’t realise the struggle others have. I imagine you’ve been to your GP but have you had all the checks done? When I’m low I find a walk amongst the autumn trees with a good playlist always picks me up ❤️

Mrsspoon3 · 31/10/2023 10:00

Hey, just adding myself to this thread. Hope that’s ok. Thanks for all the messages before about this stupidly long anovulatory cycle I’m still stuck in - really appreciate it!
Congratulations to all those who have had BFPs 💗
Im really struggling today, been crying all morning. Had a chemical last month, an anovulatory cycle this month that won’t end (currently on day 53) and just turned 39, so feel a bit down about my chances of getting pregnant. Then my friend just texted to say she’s pregnant. I’ve known a few people get pregnant while we’ve been trying, but find this one hard as we had our first ones (who are now 19 months) at same time (we met at antenatal class) and I started trying a month before her, so we’ve sort of been on same timeline until now. But she’s now pregnant again and I’m not.
My husband doesn’t get it at all why her getting pregnant would make it more sad for me that I’m not so isn’t really being sympathetic, but I’m finding it so hard, although obviously happy for her!

@FigandHoney your ovulation strips were v dark - you most likely ovulated

FigandHoney · 31/10/2023 08:40

@SnookyPook So sorry you had to spend your due date in hospital, dealing with another miscarriage. Life can be so incredibly unfair. But you are such a strong person. Sending you all the love and a virtual hug.

@JustTrying1 TTC is such a hard journey for many. I often have felt / am currently feeling like throwing the towel in myself. You are doing the right thing for your mental health. Maybe by not trying you will fall anyway. And if not its great that you feel so fulfilled in your existing life. That's beautiful. Sending you also live and hugs.

My bbt dropped even more today. It's stupidly low 34.83C. That's so stupidly low (as in hypothermia) that I honest do think smthg is wrong with it. My rhr and breathing rate are going up snowdon following exactly the trend I usually have after ovulation. So I am just going to assume I have in fact ovulated and for now ignore the BBT. This is partially for my own mental wellbeing, as I had an extremely down day yesterday. I was do upset and do distracted googling things. I will continue testing with opks just in case. But this morning premom rated it at 0.08, so that line is barely there.

Cressie2 · 30/10/2023 21:13

@SnookyPook I’m pleased to hear that it’s not an ectopic and imagine you have a
weight off your shoulders but still, it’s been a rough few weeks for you and I hope that you can take it easy over the next few weeks and that your work is being understanding. Thinking of you lots.

@JustTrying1 thats a really hard thing to write and to come to a decision about. I am a believer that taking the pressure off can actually help in so many ways- one to conceive but if not, then just to enjoy life and be present in the now rather than worrying all the time. I hope you have a fab 40th and enjoy every second of it in America ❤️

JustTrying1 · 30/10/2023 19:16

Thinking of you @SnookyPook ❤️ I haven't been online for a while but have been thinking of you and wondering how you are. Make sure you look after yourself.

Welcome to the new people who have joined the thread too. You are in the right place for support, a shoulder and to celebrate.

So I haven't been on MN for a few days and DH and I have been thinking, followed by a chat. We have decided to stop TTC. However I am not going back on the pill and we are going to just live on the basis that "if it happens it happens, if it doesn't it doesn't". We love our life as it is, our home our two dogs and the hobbies we share / do together and from the start of our relationship we always said we didn't want to have children - and both equally fine with that. I've never been able to see myself as a mother, I'm not maternal in the slightest and it was a weight off the shoulders for both of us when we both concluded that we are fine not having children.

You might be wondering why we decided to TTC in the first place at this point 😂 Well we have finally settled in our forever home and figured now we have a lovely home and financially stable we would try, fully on the understanding of my history. Fast forward to now, not that many cycles in, and we have decided that for the stress, pressure and worry, we were still more on the fence and knowing we weren't fully in favour of having a child simply doesn't make sense.

It's made me quite teary typing this out because both TTC and not TTC are both big decisions but the weight it fully off and who knows what will happen. What I DO know is I am planning a 40th birthday trip to America for us both now 😂

That being said I will keep coming back to this and future threads because I really want to know how everyone is and I sure as hell want to be here to celebrate BFPs.... I just won't be contributing to the symptom spotting and POAS addictions 🫣😂

An old school friend and i reconnected over the weekend
Theyve done 5 rounds of IVF
Had a miscarriage round 3

Such a tough time 4 them

Angelsrose · 30/10/2023 16:28

@SnookyPook sending comfort and love to you

Fullofconfusion · 30/10/2023 15:20

Sending love @SnookyPook

Well done for reaching out for MH support. I think a few months not thinking about TTC and just enjoying Christmas and time with friends and family would be a good idea. Hope you’re ok

worldwidetravel2017 · 30/10/2023 15:08

SnookyPook · 30/10/2023 13:52

Just back from hospital. Was extremely poignant being there on my due date and having to pass by the birthing unit etc. But some good news, no obvious sign of ectopic and they are happy to avoid methotrexate as HCG has come down again. I can expect to bleed soon and they want me to do a home pregnancy test in 3weeks. All being well, that will be the end of this chapter.

Thinking of you

LucyLoopyLu · 30/10/2023 14:37

@SnookyPook sorry I don't know your whole story but just wanted to say hope you're ok. Sounds tough, so sorry you are going through it

LucyLoopyLu · 30/10/2023 14:36

@FigandHoney hi thanks for the welcome. Yes it would be my first if i get that far.

Got my appointment for the hyfosy today. 16th November 🤞 so thankfully not too long to wait

Khanga27 · 30/10/2023 13:55

@SnookyPook I know how scared you were about ectopic so I am really relieved for you that there are no obvious signs of this. I'm really sorry that this has happened to you though after everything else you have had to deal with. Thinking of you

CurlyWurly1991 · 30/10/2023 12:52

@FigandHoney I would say if your CM is creamy then you are probably not that fertile right now, so I think you would be OK to have a little break from dtd. If you get EWCM again I would try and dtd every other day. That’s just what I would do… and carry on with OPKs once a day to monitor where they are and any increases. When I’ve failed to ovulate my body has then geared up again 7+ days later with other fertile signs, EWCM etc and usually eventually ovulated. Really hope it turns into a good cycle for you x

FigandHoney · 30/10/2023 12:41

@CurlyWurly1991 thanks for trying yo help me. Yes today's temperature was 34.96. Which even for me seems very low.
Eventhough i do have a fairly low average bbt. But the very lowest it has been in the past was
A few things have happened. My strap has broken so the last cycles I have tied it against my wrist with a sock. But that didn't affect it.
My phone charger has gone weird and my phone throws up an error message when I plug it in. I stupidly used that charger on my ava bracelet. So maybe that's done smthg to it.
It's also been very cold in our house.
Trying to grasp at straws here.
But my body is giving me all the signals that I have ovulated. My cm went dry for a bit and now I have lots of creamy cm. I think. Always difficult to be sure when you BD a lot. I have sore boobs. And bloating. Which I usually get in my luteal phase.
I can only hope. And maybe continue BDing every other day?
Or just write this month off.

CurlyWurly1991 · 30/10/2023 11:48

@FigandHoney thats very confusing and I hear your frustration given all your efforts with dtd. I can’t quite read the temps because the resolution goes when the pics are uploaded - is it down to 35c today?? That seems crazy low but then my baseline is 36.5ish… I guess everyone is different though. My thermometer has recently been giving bonkers readings as the battery has gone. Like 39.9 etc. Any chance something like that has happened with the Ava bracelet? If not and you can rule out unreliable temps then sadly yes I would think perhaps you didn’t ovulate after all. It’s happened to me too and I really share your frustration.

Thinking of you @SnookyPook

H0pefull · 30/10/2023 09:58

I'm so sorry @SnookyPook , what a worrying few days you have had. Have been thinking of you over the weekend, sending you so much love. I'm glad you are reaching out for some MH support, it's so easy to let that slip during TTC & you definitely have to prioritise it. You've had such a lot to deal with, I hope you can get something sorted soon.
Glad to hear you have a senior review in place too, hopefully it gives you some ways forward if / when you feel ready to do so. We are all here for you xx

Khanga27 · 30/10/2023 09:25

@FigandHoney yeah same as me then, it's so faint that I thought it was maybe an evaporation line, but it appeared within the timeframe and my understanding was evaporation lines appeared if you read outside the timeframe. I just wish I'd waited.

AF due Thursday according to my flo tracker, however its estimating based on my average cycle before my last pregnancy that ended in MMC, and I've only had one period since then. I'm 12dpo if my ovulation tests were accurate this cycle (I don't do temperature or anything like that as I think that would stress me too much).

FigandHoney · 30/10/2023 09:18

@Khanga27 hmm I couldn't see anything at first, but then when I moved my head about I think maybe I could see smthg very faint. It's grey and I am not sure it's in the right location. Ideally you will need to wait another 2 days and then hopefully it will be a clearer bfp. When is AF due?

@Cressie2 your time off sounds amazing. Hopefully ut did wonders and you will get a BFP soon.

Feeling really upset / disappointed/ dismayed this morning. My temp dropped even more. And it's now been over 48h hours since my positive opk. So I think I failed to ovulate this cycle and all the BDing was for nothing.
That or my ava bracelet is broken.

Khanga27 · 30/10/2023 07:47

Hi all. I'm now 12-13 dpo. I took a first response and I feel like I have line eyes. Are they known for evaporation lines? I've tried looking with DP who thinks it's like an indent on a covid. Not sure what to think. Wish i had waited another couple of days. Its probably not visible on camera it's so faint.

Welcome all newcomers @LucyLoopyLu @Scercho (sorry if I missed any others, I’ve been taking a week off this to chill and be by the sea which has been heavenly and so needed). 8DPO here and BFN sadly but still early days so trying to keep positive.

@SnookyPook what a rollercoaster of a few days. I’m so so sorry to hear that you’ve lost this pregnancy. You sound like you’re in good hands with the hospital and I hope they give you the support you need. Taking time out to enjoy Christmas and being with your friends sounds like a very good idea ❤️
