Hi everyone, for those who remember me I was going to give up trying after a mmc in Jan, a CP in May and then not getting pregnant again since. Well AF was due yesterday and Tuesday night I got a squinter of a line. Yesterday it was more visible but then today's is really faint again, although a digital is showing I am pregnant.

Surely today's line should be darker? I'm terrified it's yet another CP. I even managed to get hold of my progesterone pessaries yesterday so have started them straight away which was giving me some hope and I now feel like that's already fading 😭

Just checking in. I’ve been away for a couple of weeks as I had a horrendous cold/flu/potentially covid thing going on. Spent half a week in bed with a ridiculous temperature and a nasty cough that is still lurking. Amazingly the timings weren’t too bad so there’s still a chance this month for me.

This is cycle 2 since coming off the pill. Currently CD26 and Flo thinks I ovulated around CD22 so in the dreaded 2 week wait at the moment. I’m currently not tracking my ovulation as giving my body some time to get back into a normal cycle routine so timings could be way off but I’ll probably buy some opks and test in the new year. Trying to keep calm about the whole process when deep down I'm worrying that I’m not getting any younger!

@worldwidetravel2017 thinking of you, you seem very informed and proactive. I hope you get some good news after your mri and tests.

CurlyWurly1991 · 22/11/2023 20:37

@FiddleLeaf i know the feeling well about not trusting your body… TTC sends me a bit loopy tbh !!

FiddleLeaf · 22/11/2023 20:16

Thanks for all the well wishes ladies. It’s nice to be back posting after some headspace from (in)fertility life.

I think I’ll test on the weekend with a FRER. I’m starting to feel quite nervous about the result. If it’s negative it’ll feel like I can’t trust my body but trying to take it one day at a time.

@FiddleLeaf I remember you!! I'm so sorry about the results of IVF. I'm crossing all my fingers and toes that your symptoms lead to a BFP. 🤞🏻🙏💞
Out of curiousity... Do you get a free IVF cycle if one you paid for didn't result in birth? Or you have to pay again if you want another cycle? 20,000gbp sounds so expensive!!! That's like 33,000cad. Wow...

Thank you my sweet. I’m not feeling any signs today apart from more vivid dreams last night and I’m knackered! Sorry to see your see on this journey too x

We paid for a package which was £10.3k for 2 fresh cycles but medication has been just over £3k (it would have been cheaper had I not been pregnant & taking progesterone for 7wks) and then we had our embryos tested for abnormalities, a further £4K. Not quite £20k but getting there! The good news is our package has unlimited embryo transfers for free excluding the meds.

The price is crazy! Luckily I had savings from a house move but there are instalment plans available.

I was too old by 3 months to have a round on the NHS 😫

Mrsspoon3 · 22/11/2023 19:09

@Catson Thanks! Yeah, it says in the leaflet to add 2 weeks on to the number of weeks it gives, so I’ve calculated I’m 5 weeks pregnant so 3 weeks since the day I conceived, so it should be 3+ now. If I’ve explained that properly! But I definitely conceived at least 3 weeks ago.
Thats reassuring though if they’re known for not being accurate!! It’s really worrying me so I’ll try to hold on to that!

Catson · 22/11/2023 17:29

@Mrsspoon3 clear blue dates are based on conception date not LMP, which are approx a fortnight apart based on a normal 28 days cycle..so I imagine that's why you aren't seeing 3+ yet. But they are very well known for not being accurate and some people never get a 3+, so try not to be too hung up on them

Mrsspoon3 · 22/11/2023 15:06

How are you getting on @FigandHoney? Thanks for the reassurance! My tests are much darker but I thought I was 5 weeks the other day and I’m still getting 2-3 weeks on the clearblue tests. Have you got 3+ yet? When is your scan booked for? I’m booking one for 7th December when I’ll be at a minimum 7 weeks exactly, but could be a few days over that.

Just wanted to pop in and say I am so sorry about everything that has been going on @worldwidetravel2017 . I am thinking of you and hoping for the best possible outcome.
The cross stitch sounds like a good idea.

Thanks so much
Hope your well

FigandHoney · 22/11/2023 13:20

I still keep checking the thread in the hope of seeing more BFPs. Fingers crossed for you all

FigandHoney · 22/11/2023 13:19

@FiddleLeaf those symptoms sound hopeful. It certainly wouldn't be the first yime i hear a similar story of natural cinception after IVF. And I am so sorry about your loss.

What type of cross stitch are you working on @worldwidetravel2017 ?

@H0pefull I’m slightly ahead- CD 16 with an anticipated ovulation day on Saturday if previous cycles are anything to go by. Going to do an early test on 14 DPO as it will be DH’s birthday.

Cressie2 · 21/11/2023 22:37

Welcome back @FiddleLeaf So so sorry to hear about your loss. I’m shocked by how expensive IVF is too. Hoping this is the month for you now, all your symptoms sound very positive! When are you testing?

@worldwidetravel2017 I’m so sorry you’re still in limbo but glad that the GP was encouraging and more hopeful. I hope your colonoscopy on Tuesday goes well and your MRI. The docs are being super cautious and you will be in good hands. Hopefully you’ll have the answers soon and can put this all behind you 🤞🏻

worldwidetravel2017 · 21/11/2023 20:27

Thank you. Had an encouraging/ hopeful NHS gp eve call

No one will know re liver until after mri

Im expecting biopsy - regardless of if its good or bad..

They did say my kidneys , pancreas etc are good and they had no ct scan of me ever before etc..

There is a chance liver could be cancerous but equally currently quite good ' chance ' it might not be - lets see ..
I dont wana be too ahh it will be okay as no one knows but equally - just that - we dont know yet

Bumblebee413 · 21/11/2023 19:50

I’m sorry @worldwidetravel2017, such a lot to get your head around. It sounds as though you’re being really proactive with the MRI.

@FiddleLeaf welcome back! So lovely to hear from you but equally I’m so sorry to hear about your loss. Stranger things have happened with babies and IVF- my friend found out she had conceived naturally just prior to going to her final meeting with the IVF clinic to confirm that after years without success they were going to draw a line under it. Sending you lots of baby dust x

worldwidetravel2017 · 21/11/2023 18:23
