BFN this morning on a FRER. All my symptoms have vanished too apart from the vivid dreams so I think it was a chemical pregnancy.

I feel alright about it. Onto a FET cycle next month so at least we’re progressing one way or another!

JC084 · 25/11/2023 09:58

@Khanga27 I've got 2 CB digitals but I was waiting for a darker line on my cheap ones before using them.... I'm going to try and wait for tomorrow and see what happens.

Thank you

Khanga27 · 25/11/2023 09:39

@JC084 I can see something a faint line still. Are you able to get hold of an early test like FRER or clear blue? I would say at 14dpo you aren’t out based on that test but i would def try get an early response test or test again in a couple of days if you don’t have AF? Fingers crossed for you.

JC084 · 25/11/2023 09:25

After 2 faint lines the last 2 days, I was hopeful I would test this morning to a more obvious line. But the test is pretty much negative - or at least it's a very faint line thats as faint as the first one I got. Dpo 14 today. I guess I'm out? Surely the line would be darker / noticeable by now?
Gutted. Also got a text last night to say my brother and SIL have had their 12 week scan with their second. I'm obviously happy for them but it's hard

@Cressie2 I can definitely see lines on all those. Absolutely everything crossed for you.
Thank you, I'm just in a bit of shock it's happening again. Hoping it happens soon then I can move on.

Cressie2 · 25/11/2023 08:08

I might be imagining things after months and months of being let down but I’m sure I see faint lines or shadows on these tests this morning. I’m not going to get excited as only 7/8 DPO and guarded incase it’s indents or a chemical. I will try again tomorrow.

@worldwidetravel2017 thinking of you lots and glad the MRI was bearable and that you’re ok. Please let us know how the results go.

@RoseH36 I’m to hear this. It’s exhausting isn’t it and tough trying to keep it together around your toddler. You super mummy. Keep going, as hard as it is. I’m here for you 🩷

@RoseH36 welcome back. Have wondered how you are from time to time. Sorry to hear of your current rollercoaster. I've unfortunately had a CP in Sept and then a loss/query ectopic at 7wks on Halloween so very much feel you on the not catching a break. I really hope this latest is just dodgy tests etc for you and that things look brighter in the morning. Same for you @FiddleLeaf 💕

I think there was another BFP but I can't remember who - sorry! But congratulations and hope all progresses well.

@worldwidetravel2017 hope you're as ok as can be. So much for you to process right now. I hope the next few days and tests fly by for you so you can get answers asap and hopefully good news that will set your mind at rest 🤞🏻💕

Thanks so much
Have a lovely wkend

RoseH36 · 24/11/2023 23:17

@SnookyPook I'm so sorry to hear you've gone through all this trauma another couple of times, it feels so incredibly unfair on us all. I hope you're doing ok.

It's definitely over for me, couldn't sleep so have tested again, not even a hint of a line. Just got to wait for everything to start now. It's taken so long to get pregnant again that I wonder why I bother but there's always that bit of me that wants to try again as I don't want my son to be an only child. Why is it all so hard??

@RoseH36 and @FiddleLeaf There were clear lines in your previous tests. So hopefully it just a matter of variation in urine concentration and a difference in sensitivity in the various tests. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

@worldwidetravel2017 How are you doing today? Still thinking of you and hoping you won't get any ife altering news except for a bfp.

@Mrsspoon3 I only got my clearblue 3+ yesterday at 5w3d. But I never got one with my son. Having done some research they need quite a high high level of hcg to definitely trigger a 3+ and the tests actually vary themselves in their readings. So you could take a few different ones and get different results. So I really wouldn't worry about it. I will have a look if I can find the thing I read that really reassured me and post it here.

Thank you..

I had private liver mri with contrast...

Now drinking a lot - to try n get contrast out my system.
Ended up in a n e in Oct within 48 hrs of contrast with some kinda delayed reaction

They said i did very well - hopefully not just saying that if it looke bleek

They offererd to play music via u tube but then didnt

Had never had 1 b4
The procedure was well memorable

B4 procedure even began -- there had already been an issue / delay as my body showed resistance to what they were trying to put in my arm - so pricked twice - 2 diff pp

I took an eye mask with no clips etc which i believe helped my brain

Today was private
Nhs one next month - will know what to expect..

Next week = colonoscopy
And gastroscopy

Current standing = 1 appt done - 3 to go

No results yet but ive paid 4 them 2 be within 3 working days - i just need to know if its benign or not.
Id happily let someone cut me open and biopsy me - just need to know

Biggest fear is where left lobe of liver is by ya oesophagus / however u spell it - upper gi.. hope nothings spread if so

Maybe i have multiple symptons - multiple issues..
Wait n see

Todays lot asked me 4 my kidney number off nhs app - kidneys good at least

Sorry 4 novel
On a train - still processing it all

RoseH36 · 24/11/2023 17:13

@FigandHoney thank you. This is such a rollercoaster. Actually can't wait to get to bed tonight to test tomorrow and hope it gives me some clarity. So hard to remain cheerful for my toddler when I'm going through so many emotions.

FigandHoney · 24/11/2023 17:08

It's a review from Amazon:
Good pregnancy test, but users must be aware of the accuracy limits of the weeks estimator
By amo42 - December 9, 2014
There seems to be some confusion about what the results of this test mean. I'll try to clear things up. The 3 levels do in fact measure 3 different levels of HCG, but there's a huge range of sensitivity for each level. If your blood level is 250 and the test only shows 1-2 weeks, it doesn't mean the test is defective. What it does mean its that Clearblue's instructions are not really as clear as they should be.

The manufacturer has to file its test results with the FDA and that's public information. Check out the chart on page 6: http://www.accessdata.fda.gov/cdrh_docs/reviews/K112870.pdf

The Pregnant 3+ weeks threshold is 2600 mIU/ml. However if you look at their data, only 21 of 90 tests they did with exactly 2513 mIU/ml of HCG tested positive. The other 69 were false negatives. You aren't guaranteed to get a "3+ weeks" result until after your level is at least 4000. Clinical guidelines at that gestation are 18 - 7,340 mIU/ml, however, so basically this test can't tell you anything other than "you're pregnant" at 3 weeks past conception.

Please realize that this means that many many 4-week conceptuses (when your doctor would say you are 6 weeks along) are going to test as "2-3 weeks", and that is absolutely not a reason to panic. If you get one negative test, that does not mean a negative result. You have to do several tests, possibly even from different boxes, to be sure.

In summary:

If you get "Not pregnant", you may still have an HCG level below 17. Try another test today, and then again in 2 days.

If you get 1-2 weeks, that means that your HCG level is almost definitely between 10 and 500. It is most likely to be between 10 and 180.
1-2 weeks can turn positive anywhere above 10 ml/IU, but it doesn't reach 99% accuracy until 17. Clinical guidelines are 5 - 50 mIU/ml

If you get 2-3 weeks, that means that your HCG level is almost definitely between 120 and 4000. It is most likely to be between 180 and 2900.
2-3 weeks can turn positive anywhere above 120, but it doesn't reach 99% accuracy until 500. Clinical guidelines are 5 - 426 mIU/ml

If you get 3+ weeks, that means that your HCG level is almost definitely above 2100. It is most likely to be above 2900.
3+ weeks can turn positive anywhere above 2100, but it doesn't reach 99% accuracy until 4000. Clinical guidelines are 18 - 7,340 mIU/ml

The error bars on this test are wide enough that I would consider the weeks results to be entertainment only. You should absolutely not use this test to try to determine what your HCG level is. If your specific HCG level is important, go get a blood test done.

All that said, this is the only test on the market right now that can give you any clue at all about how much HCG is in your sample, and it can provide you some useful information. To know whether a particular level is accurate for a single sample, you'd need to take something like 10 tests at once. But if you just want reassurance that your pregnancy is progressing, you can use one test each time, and even with the large error bars on this test, it will eventually show progress, because your HCG level is steadily increasing. You may not hit "3+" until your 6th week however and that would still be within clinical guidelines. I wouldn't make any decisions based on this test unless the decision is to see a doctor and get a blood test done.

@CurlyWurly1991 I honestly don't know what to think. Yesterday's was with FMU, today's was with one later in the morning. You can barely see a line on the Babyplan one that I did use FMU with, it's slightly more visible in real life than this image. I know they are a lot fainter than FRER but still would have thought it would be darker. I'll test again in the morning with a FRER and see what that says, got more arriving today.

CurlyWurly1991 · 24/11/2023 14:49

@RoseH36 surely the digital is much less sensitive, though? I only got faint BFPs from 18dpo on frer with my daughter (I think frer is an 8 sensitivity) whereas digitalis are more like 25?
hope that’s all it is and you can trust the BFPs you’ve already had.

RoseH36 · 24/11/2023 13:57

@FiddleLeaf 16DPO. I just don't know where to go from here. I've already had bloods and a scan, everything is normal. Was told to start taking progesterone from getting a positive test, which I've done. Was expecting them to have to order that in but it was in stock on Wednesday, same day I got the better positive than Tuesday so couldn't have started that any sooner.

I've had no pregnancy symptoms but didn't with my son so that doesn't help.

I read one review on Amazon of someone getting a yes then a no the next day on the same digital test but can't pin any hope on this being the same.

How many DPO are you? Can't believe you're in the same position too 😪

FiddleLeaf · 24/11/2023 13:51

RoseH36 · 24/11/2023 13:02

Just done another first response digital and its saying I'm not pregnant 😭😭 assume the likelihood of that being wrong is zero. Just can't believe it after yesterday was looking promising

Ah I’m sorry. What DPO are you?

I’m in a similar boat, positive on easy@home yesterday but negative today 😞. Hoping it’s just a timing thing and I’ve not totally lost the plot this month.

Val1607 · 24/11/2023 11:40

Yes, I've discussed everything with the doctors but I was just told everything is normal as all my hormones were checked and they're all OK apart from low progesterone.

They say my referral would be rejected as I managed to get pregnant on my own last year and everything is fine. I don't call 37 days bleeding fine!!!!! I've switched doctor's surgeries now as I didn't feel like I was getting anywhere at my old one.

Plus my last miscarriage was due to infection (and some abnormalities were found but they they weren't the cause of the MC) and my GP didn't prescribe enough antibiotics so I felt really uncomfortable being treated further by her, because there's always this "what if".

I have another GP appointment on 21 Dec. I am taking so many different fertility supplements to help with egg quality, cycle regularity and health but I still don't feel right. I'm always so tired and my breasts are tingling a lot.

I've never had this before during any cycle until I fell pregnant the last time. That's how I knew I was pregnant. Now it's just a painful reminder. I tried using OPK's but none ever showed positive for me until one picked up my previous pregnancy.

I remember 11 years ago, my GP then just did 3 CD 21 progesterone tests and as I wasn't ovulating I got referred to Gynea who prescribed clomid. So why is it such a problem to get this now? They say it's because I did get pregnant 2x last year on my own, but I have a 14 year old son and that wasn't a problem back then... I just feel so defeteated as everything is just taking so long. It's horrible but I feel insanely jealous of every pregnant woman I see 😭

RoseH36 · 24/11/2023 11:31

@JC084 it's so hard waiting isn't it? I'm just assuming I ovulated later than I thought with mine. I tested last Friday and Sunday, both negative. Tuesday night I had a line that was so faint I barely saw it, that was the day before AF was due.

CurlyWurly1991 · 24/11/2023 11:20

@Val1607 Hi, sorry things have been so tough. I use fertility friend and manually temp with a thermometer. Are those your bbt readings? Temp should show a sustained rise after ovulation and then fall just before period. I’m afraid from those it doesn’t look like ovulation occurred. Does the Ovusense need a number of cycles to calibrate or anything? I use a Fitbit as well that monitors resting heart rate as that aligns with temp for me and means I don’t always have to take my temperature every morning.

JC084 · 24/11/2023 11:03

@RoseH36 congrats! And thank you. Just waiting for a darker line to hopefully appear in the next few days.

@Val1607 really sorry to read of what you've gone through. I had a mn early miscarriage in the summer and it was really tough. Can only imagine
how you feel. I'd agree that a second opinion would be good from another doctor. I would have thought you'd be able to get some help / support.
I can't help on the chart either sorry as don't use them, I just rely on clear blue advanced digitals which seem to work for me

RoseH36 · 24/11/2023 09:42

@Val1607 so sorry to hear of everything you've been through. Have you only spoken to one doctor about this? I'd be going for a second opinion with someone else. Have you mentioned your family history? If not that needs to be mentioned.

No advice on the charts as I've never used anything like that.

Val1607 · 24/11/2023 09:13

TW miscarriage

Hi,

I'm 37. I've been struggling to get pregnant for 13 years before surprisingly falling pregnant last year. Sadly that pregnancy ended in miscarriage at 14 weeks. I managed to get pregnant again 4 months later but miscarried again at 15.5 weeks. Since my last miscarriage 7 months ago my cycles have been everywhere.

I've been spotting between periods and my cycle has become really long where it's been regular before despite having endometriosis. In July/August for instance I was bleeding for 37 days and constantly bleeding between periods. My doctor did blood tests and confirmed no ovulation and low progesterone but won't refer me to Gynae or prescribe clomid to help with ovulation.

I'm scared I'll run out of time and go into menopause (women in my family go into menopause in their late 30s) The last 2 months I was on medroxyprogesterone to regulate my cycles and my last cycle was 37 days long. I got myself the ovusense BBT monitor to see what's going on but we're on day 20 with no ovulation.

But I'm new to this and maybe I'm about to ovulate? It said it did detect ovulation on CD 25 last month but that seems very late. Does this chart look normal and like ovulation is about to happen?

@CurlyWurly1991 @H0pefull thank you both. It's certainly a nice surprise, I was honestly thinking it would never happen. All my tests came back clear from the hospital so we thought about testing DH sperm after Christmas, clearly that's still working alright. Now to hope the lines get darker and the pegesterone helps.
