@Mrsspoon3 hope everything goes well for you today.

@Lalaland13 glad to hear AF has turned up, even though its sounding worse than usual for you. At least it saves you wondering what's going on. Hope your appointment goes well next week.

@VixFromThe6ix so glad to hear things are well for you. Hope all the tests come back fine. There was a second sac with the start of a foetal pole when I had my son. It was believed that caused the bleed I had around 5 weeks but I was told as nothing had developed in it then it would naturally be absorbed by the other one. It only ever showed up on the scan I had around 5 weeks.

Got my high on a Clearblue test this morning so fingers crossed it looks like my body has got itself back into normal quite quickly following the CP. Now to hope it doesn't take another 6 cycles before I'm pregnant again.

H0pefull · 07/12/2023 10:01

@Supertrooper101 thanks lovely, hope you are doing ok xx

Lalaland13 · 07/12/2023 09:56

Ohh gosh @Mrsspoon3 hope he comes around, I think some men just aren’t interested until the baby is here and even then when they’re more into communicating. When I was pregnant my husband was never the excited sort like some expectant dads are but it all has worked out lovely.

Hope all the results go well @worldwidetravel2017 - sounds like you’ve really been through it but are keeping yourself occupied with lots of lovely plans.

All the tests for genetic differences are so scary and I think I never felt happy until I knew we were all clear, it’s so just one big worry isn’t it! But will be worth it when you hold your bundle 🥰🥰

AF started yesterday - with a vengeance! Anyone have major arguments with their OHs just before?! It’s like we are both super sensitive and just argue over the silliest things. I am relieve AF came - knew wasn’t pregnant and it’s good to get to the next cycle. I think we may have to DTD every other day to get pregnant as it’s so variable now. Have the docs Monday to talk over it all as it’s been really quite painful these days and have had to take some time off work

Supertrooper101 · 07/12/2023 08:34

@VixFromThe6ix thats so frustrating lol your anxious anyway but then to have that on your mind until you give birth to be sure. Whatever the results are you will still have your baby and like you said...there could have been a twin there like you was originally told thats hindered the results. Maybe get a 4d scan later on for peice of mind xx @H0pefull really hope you get your postive after so long x

VixFromThe6ix · 07/12/2023 03:22

@SnookyPook @CurlyWurly1991 @SouthwestSis congratulations to you ladies!!! How great to see some BFPs one after another on here. Hope for a sticky little bean for you all 🤞🏻

13 weeks right now. Most annoying first trimester symptoms have eased to the point of being bearable. I had a scan at 7 weeks, 9 weeks and now at 13 weeks this week. I think because I went through a fertility clinic and my age they scheduled me for two early ones and I had one this week from my new obgyn. I also did the genetic testing blood work. Apparently after 40 it's 1 in 100 chance for downs. Bit nervous about the results. The expensive NIPT test is free after 40 so I took that one.... 99% accuracy, so let's see. It really feels like there isn't a moment where it's been calm and relaxing.... Obgyn believes that I did not actually have a vanishing twin as it wasn't confirmed 100%. Second sack was seen on week 7 us but not on week 9 one. Otherwise if it was confirmed I wouldn't be able to take the NIPT as this would skew the results. But what if it was there..... What if my result will be skewed because of it. I'll won't be able to know if it's because the chances are actually high to have downs in this baby or if it's because of a potential vanishing twin.

Anyways I'm rambling lol I'm sorry!!!!

Again, congratulations to all the BFPs and best of luck and tons of baby dust to those in the TWW period ❤️

@Mrsspoon3 completely understandable- you really wanted one and he said he wanted a sibling for your son. I absolutely get how you’ve all got to where you are. You wanted this baby so badly and he agreed. You know him better than anyone. Do you think he’s the type to stick to his guns over things or is there potential for him to come around once he meets them? I really hope that the scan goes well for you tomorrow. X

SnookyPook · 06/12/2023 22:13

@Mrsspoon3 ooh best of luck for tomorrow! Will have mine in a couple of weeks and I'm going to be so nervous before. Hope all goes as well as possible for you xxx

@Bumblebee413 that all makes lots of sense. Everything crossed for you that you're able to give him a lovely surprise on his birthday 💕

@worldwidetravel2017 good or hear your updates. Hope you were able to enjoy cinema this eve - did you say it was James Blunt? Any good?

@H0pefull best of luck for tww!!

@Lalaland13 any sign of AF yet? So frustrating when she messes you around. X

Mrsspoon3 · 06/12/2023 21:11

Thanks @Bumblebee413, @RoseH36 and @Cressie2 💗

I guess it’s my own fault as my husband did tell me he didn’t want another baby, he just agreed in the end because he knew how much I wanted one and because he thought it was good for our little boy to have a sibling, but I kind of hoped he’d come round and be a tiny bit happy when it actually happened.

@Cressie2 I don’t have any work parties, but I’ve decided to tell my family early (if all goes well at the scan) because of the not drinking thing! It’s so hard trying to hide a pregnancy around Christmas isn’t it with so many drinking occasions?!

I hope it’s your month @Bumblebee413 and you’re able to surprise your partner on his birthday!

I’m having a 7 week scan tomorrow! I’m so scared!!

Bumblebee413 · 06/12/2023 20:15

That’s exciting @Cressie2! Bet you can’t wait. How are you feeling?

I don’t think I actually believe I am this time, so it’s making it easier to wait. That and I think both that it feels a little too early and because there has been a bit of a run of CPs here. I think I’d find it easier not to know if that was the case, if that makes any sense?

Finally, I think because of the birthday. He’s asked me to tell him as soon as I know this time (waited 24 hours last time because he had the last day of his course and I didn’t want to distract him 😂) and it would just be lovely if I could tell him on his birthday.

Cressie2 · 06/12/2023 19:43

@worldwidetravel2017 really hope the bloods go well and so pleased to hear that they haven’t found anything sinister to date. Hope you enjoy your cinema outing and can chill a little.

@H0pefull i hope you’re busy over the TWW and can enjoy the run up to Christmas. 🤞🏻this is your month.

@Bumblebee413 only a few more days to wait for you! Are you going to test early? If not, you’re a more patient woman than I was. Hoping it all goes well for you.

I’m 5 weeks tomorrow. Still taking each day as it comes and just want to get the scan out of the way in a fortnight because as soon as I see a heartbeat, whilst not out of the MC zone, I can relax a little.

Sending good wishes to you all 💕

H0pefull · 06/12/2023 09:49

@worldwidetravel2017 ah sorry missed that one! glad you don't need to have the contrast after your last bad reaction to it. Lots of luck for your bloods today & enjoy the cinema tonight!

Thinking of you today @worldwidetravel2017 , hope all goes well at the scan. Glad you have had some lovely things to do to keep you busy inbetween it all.

So lovely to see the positive posts on this thread recently, sending everyone lots of luck & wishing you all healthy pregnancies! :)

I have been relatively quiet on here but reading in the background, just not much to report! I am 1DPO today so 2WW begins, would love to get a BFP just before Christmas but what will be will be. I have my repeat day 21 bloods next week as GP wanted me to repeat them due to last months being borderline low. My partner has his sperm analysis next week also, so things are moving in the right direction (hopefully).

Hope everyone is doing ok! Anybody else heading into the 2WW? x

Sending you all the luck

Hope it’s gone well today @worldwidetravel2017. Excellent plans for afterwards!

In this month’s episode of me getting too excited too soon, I’ve woken up today going ‘I might find out I’m pregnant in four days!!’ 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’ve had a coldy bug for the last few days that has left me feeling ‘too full’ to the point of nausea and an achey lower back.

My boobs aren’t sore, which they normally are pre period and I don’t believe that I am pregnant, I’ve just fallen in love with the idea of telling DH I am, if I am, on his birthday on Saturday. I think I’ll be around 13 DPO, so hopefully should see something if we’ve been lucky 🤞🏼

Thank you
The hot dog reporter said images yest were clear enough 4 an answer without contrast
I reacted to contrast in Nov so they didnt wana give contrast unless needed

He did ask 4 more lower abdomen mri images tho.

More bloods tomo
Including liver , cholesterol, diabetes, folate etc

RoseH36 · 05/12/2023 10:16

@Lalaland13 I only drink when we're out or over Christmas but I've not had anything since Feb after my mmc. Every social event this year has fallen in the TWW and although I know it wouldn't have any impact I've chosen not to drink. With not being a big drinker it's never aroused any suspicion from anyone and our closest family and friends know we're trying.

Bodies are annoyingly confusing! I've had months where I've had lots of twinges and been convinced I'm pregnant and haven't been, then last month was convinced I was out as I'd felt nothing but clearly wasn't. I hope you get answers one way or another soon as that is quite late.

Lalaland13 · 05/12/2023 09:12

Good luck with the scan - it’s a whole new pregnancy! Got it all crossed for you.

When in TWW do you people drink? I have been a bit - with my son i didn’t know was pregnant yet (has tested but early and was negative) basically drank a whole bottle of Prosecco one time- he was fine thankfully! I did feel very bad though!

Still no period here and no positive tests - really unsure what the hell is going on with my body at the mo. It’s 8 days late and never been this late before. Was later than normal last month too - paranoid it’s the peri starting. Bodies are so confusing !

SnookyPook · 04/12/2023 21:23

@Cressie2 thanks! So, because of my previous losses this year, hospital have booked me in for a scan just after 7wks... 21st Dec... The Scanxiety is going to be real.... And right before Christmas 😬 but trying to keep calm and remind myself that this is a brand new pregnancy and every chance of going better 🙏🏼

I've already survived my work Christmas do. I think a couple of people were a bit surprised I wasn't drinking much (they did think I had a cocktail though when I actually ordered a mocktail!) However, they all know that I just had another loss at Halloween so none of them would have been tactless enough to ask anything pointed!! Family know I may be TTC again (they knew I was planning a break for a month or two 😂😬😂) so I don't think I'll get much grief from them. I might get some zero alcohol mulled wine or fizz etc and secretly pour that in a glass! Haha.

@CurlyWurly1991 I know what you mean about those places. I've never had a scan at one though so my thoughts might be very much misconceptions! I do feel NHS would probably handle bad news better but that could be wrong too!

CurlyWurly1991 · 04/12/2023 21:01

@Cressie2 I hear you on the not drinking around Xmas dilemma. I kind of stopped drinking during TTC anyway so hopefully it wont raise any eyebrows. You could always accept a drink then just carry it around and pour a little away every so often?!
Not sure about whether I will book an early scan but totally understand wanting to do it. It would need to be first week or two of Jan for me, all being well. I would kind of prefer to be in an nhs hospital if the worst happened. I don’t know if that is just misjudged or what, it’s just the private scan places I’ve looked up near me are quite geared towards the 4d scans and I don’t know if I would feel ‘in good hands’ if it wasn’t good news. Perhaps I’m overthinking it though.

Cressie2 · 04/12/2023 20:18

Hello, just catching up on here and so happy to read all the positive news as of late!

@SnookyPook @SouthwestSis @CurlyWurly1991 huge congratulations to you both! 💥So happy for you. We can go on the 12WW together until the 3 month scan! Are any of you having early scans? I’ve booked a private one for 7 weeks (in 3 weeks time) so hoping it all goes ok. Quite nervous about it all but trying to stay positive. I’m also nervous about telling work as have so many Christmas parties and can’t hide not drinking so will have to tell them at 6 weeks pregnant which seems too early. Anyone else in the same boat?

@Mrsspoon3 I’m sorry to hear that though. That’s really hard. 9 months of pregnancy will give him time to come round. Maybe he’ll change when he sees the scans. Thinking of you.

Welcome @Lalaland13 @jellyfish2210

Hope the rest of you are doing ok x

jellyfish2210 · 04/12/2023 16:01

Thanks for the encouragement, if I lose another 7 kg I will be the same weight I was when I fell pregnant with DD who will be 5 in January. I had hoped to start trying sooner but we wanted to wait till we had a bigger house. I really want another child and my heart breaks every month with the arrival of AF.

RoseH36 · 04/12/2023 15:41

@worldwidetravel2017 thank you, will give them a call.

@jellyfish2210 well done on the weight loss. I could do with losing some too, I'm still around a stone heavier than when I got pregnant. Not sure if it has any bearing on things but who knows.

@Lalaland13 the age gap did bother me but I try not to dwell on it now. I always wanted 2 years tops but because we had our son just before the first lockdown we wanted some normality first. Of course we had no idea how long all of that would last! Our son will be 4 in Feb so there will be over 4 and a half years and counting between him and any sibling.

Lalaland13 · 04/12/2023 12:51

I have been loving heated seats the last week or so - I doubt it would do any harm. I haven’t even thought about it xx
