AF showed up yesterday 16th Oct Booooo. This is my 9th cycle. Made an apt with GP as I am over 35 and we really tried everything so now need some tests and OH to.
TTC No.2. LO is 2 this month. Was hoping for 2 under 2. But ah well...... We plan but God is the best of planners.

Please join! And hopefully we see some BFPs this month.

Hello can I join the thread?
AF arrived in full force today so I am out for October.

I am 33 and trying for first baby. Only stopped mini pill on 30th September, started tracking with easy@home ovulation sticks straight away and thought I ovulated on the 15th Oct (only discovered the app where it could read the strips a bit later so not 100% but had ovulation pains and EWCM around then) and then AF today.

So I'm hopeful that my body seems to have got back on the ovulation train quite quickly 🤞 On to November!

ReginaPhalange12 · 26/10/2023 18:05

@Cloclo93 I've never waited that long, I have no patience but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!

I've still not got my peak & when I went to the loo earlier there was some brown CM which is so unusual for me. I hope it's not AF 2 weeks early although that could explain my headache over the past couple of days.

Jee95 · 26/10/2023 17:23

Thank you! 😊

I’m 7dpo - I had two very faint lines on a test yesterday, but not convinced. Although, my boobs are very sore (couldn’t lay on my stomach at one point). I also experienced a sharp stabbing pain in the middle of the night at 4/5dpo. I’ve been having dizzy spells too. We’ve been trying for our first for 7-months and losing hope! Would love to join this chat.

Edited

Ooo faint lines are a great sign!! Fingers crossed for you. In my last pregnancy, my only noticeable early symptom was sore boobs.

Jee95 · 26/10/2023 15:45

I’m at 7dpo so know your feeling! I got two very faint lines on a test at 6dpo as I have quite a few symptoms. Wishing you all the luck!

@starryx I had pinkish discharge for a day or two. Really confused me because I'd never had it before but from here/ google I think it was ovulation bleeding which I am taking as a really good sign!!

@Cloclo93 tbh I don't get that far without testing because I am not disciplined! Two days after your period should have come I'd def be doing a test.

2 DPO here dum..de..dum dum dum wait wait wait. We've a few bits on so hopefully just put this to the back to my mind

MixedCouple · 26/10/2023 14:56

@123456789ss 😂 I wish I could say that. For me Mood swings happen just after ovulation 2/3days until 2nd day of my period. Right now my brain thinks my OH is the best person in the world and a sexy model 😂 10days he will be my enemy 😂 no not that bad.

@Cloclo93 awwwww Good luck fingers crossed for you! Hoping this is the Month for you.

I'm 16 dpo 2 days late for my peroid which runs like clock work, I'm too chicken too take a test incase of the disappointment 😞 after 2 years of trying even this imaginary hope is nice I don't want to crush it, anyone else get like that?

123456789ss · 26/10/2023 13:57

Does anyone else notice any mood swings around time of ovulation?
Or is my current rage just related to issues with BT Open reach and an annoying husband....😝!?!

ReginaPhalange12 · 26/10/2023 10:38

@Optimistic2021 I'm in a similar position however I went from circle to flashing in a day & then had 5 days of flashing, I've run out of CB now so I'm using easy@home and the highest reading I've had is 40. No idea what's going on. Last month I had a static on CD11 and previous CD12 which is today. TTC is so stressful 😫

I'd keep testing & see what happens in the next few days

Optimistic2021 · 26/10/2023 08:59

I'm on day 14 of my cycle now and still no smiley face on the clear blue ovulation sticks, still just getting a blank circle despite my flo app saying I should have ovulated on Tuesday 🤔

Thought I would have had ovulation confirmed on Wednesday due to the change in discharge but still nothing. Does anyone know if I should just keep testing? My periods are pretty regular, sometimes come a day or two early so maybe 26/27 day cycle but it does change each month.

I fell pregnant first time with DC when using ovulation sticks but I can't remember when in the cycle I got the smiley face as it seems so long ago now!

hicketypickety · 26/10/2023 08:53

@MixedCouple that's good hear a positive "review" of SMEP!

@ceruleansky everything crossed for nov 🤞🏻🤞🏻

MrsHousePlant · 26/10/2023 08:51

I’m not feeling very positive, my boobs are sore this morning (which in the first month I thought was a good sign!) but now I realise is a symptom I get around this time each month before AF anyway. 6DPO today. I’ll hang on in here for 5 more days. I really just feel like if this was the month I’d feel something different 😩

starryx · 26/10/2023 07:42

Definitely think I'm ovulating right this second lol
Dtd last night as I felt my discharge was like the fertile type and my sex drive was higher
Then this morning my discharge was so very slippery and so on
And I noticed some pink like spotting!
Which I believe is ovulation spotting
But this is all really good signs that I am actually ovulating as I should 😀

MixedCouple · 26/10/2023 07:06

Morning all. Begining of fertile week in think a little ewcm.

@Optimistic2021 with LO we decided tonTTC end of January 2021 snd pregnant 3 weeks later I had only had Folic acid for 3 weeks!!! But went to my apt and my BMI was higher at 8 weeks so they increased my dosage. It doesn't really matter.

My temps are dropping which is super early for me. Snd just like.last cycle my Dear Son has decided to get sick! Last month he had Flu and he gave it to me so I was sick during ovulation. Dejavu. He is plotting he is. Doesn't want a sibling despite saying he does.

@hicketypickety we ised SMEP with LO worked first month. And now we are on cycle 3 using SMEP.

My OH has his apt on Friday but they couldn't get me in with a Dr so I am seeing a Nurse practioner. Not keen as not sure they can do referrals? I asked receptionists can the Nurse do referrals and order bloods for fertility ane she said Yes..... I am.very sceptical. And that apt isn't for another 2 weeks!!!! Going to call amd see of they have any cancellations with a Dr.

@Outliers I think I am just obsessed with POAS so I did them from the day after my period finished this time.

@PolkaDotDot I think it is bandied around, but I remember my grandmother saying you always find a way to cope. It can be a worry though and I do know people that genuinely cannot afford a 2nd or need to have a big age gap

Ahh thanks yeah I believe that too! Hoping any financial strain will be worth it in the long run as I'd love a close enough age gap between kids.

ceruleansky · 25/10/2023 17:57

@hicketypickety
I saw your post on the October thread. As you said, I hope November is our month.
How are you doing so far? Are you done with AF?

@ReginaPhalange12
Haven't seen you in a while! Hope you're well.

Well you're probably wise to take that approach actually. My cycle is usually 26/28 days. However my last cycle was only 21days for some odd indiscernible reason. Having read the instructions of the Boots OPK it says if a 21day cycle, testing should start from yesterday!

So I suppose I'll start testing from this evening instead.

KM8 · 25/10/2023 17:07

I'm only 2DPO but already feeling that's this month isn't going to be my month....got crampy tummy feeling already and thinking it may be my period gearing up to greet me!

Sorry having a day of feeling disheartened today. I'm thinking about whether we DTD enough in our fertile window, I can't tell you how much I want this to happen but it's taking much longer as we were so lucky first time around. Plus a friend has just announced her 3rd pregnancy (they weren't actively trying!) 😫 feeling happy but slightly (jealous!) Sorry for the rant!

CD6. AF seems to be coming to an end.

Guess now I wait (and try). I've seen people suggest Ovulation sticks from day 10, so will start testing from Sunday, and will take a few tests while I'm abroad next week.

Hopefully DC allows us space to try for sibling, we'll see.

PolkaDotDot · 25/10/2023 14:55

Hi everyone!

Would love to join this chat if that's ok! I have a DC who is a year and a half and DH and I have been talking recently about trying. Initially wanted to wait until January at the earliest to start trying again but I'm getting serious baby fever! I keep going back and forth though on whether it is the right decision as life would change a lot for us financially etc with 2 but we both definitely want a second so will hopefully make it work!

I used ovulation sticks last time successfully but going to try and see if I can get pregnant just by checking CM and other symptoms this cycle. Baby dust to all!! ❤️

wanderlustre · 25/10/2023 14:18

@Cloclo93 I had bloods taken at my first fertility appointment in May but they didn't say what they were testing for. Have the follow up next Tuesday so will hopefully find out then. Fingers crossed your journey starts to pick up pace soon!

hicketypickety · 25/10/2023 13:32

I am going to try SMEP this month reading others on here it seems like it is a good thing to try - didn't do it last month as wasn't monitoring ovulation but going to see what happens in November.
