@BB78910 ah mate, you are definitely not a pathetic little wimp. It’s just shit, I can’t count the number of times I’ve cried at other people’s pregnancy announcements now - they’re a massive gut punch every time and there’s nothing bad or weak in feeling that way. Wish I could give you a giant hug ❤️. I don’t know where you read that but I always go by this which is based on a study of 200 couples ttc over a year and shows DTD the day before gives you almost just as good a chance, so don’t worry - you’ll get it! Xxx

I think I was reading the odds tho and it’s 20% chance of conception when you do it on a day either side of O and 40% on the day. I just don’t want another lost cycle ☹️

@BB78910 you won't necessarily miss it if you do it within 12-24 hours after O as the egg hangs around a while. And you've got it in before. Doing it at the exact moment of O won't make any difference as long as there is sperm there at some point while the egg is there you have every chance

we DTDyesterday and this afternoon I got EWCM but like loads of it so I’m pretty sure I’m going to miss my window. Working late tomorrow so can only DTD late at night and if I O anytime before that I’ve missed it
I hate this so much - went out for some drinks with DPs friends and he told me another one of them is pregnant it just made me feel shit so went home, had a little cry on the train like a pathetic little wimp

@Roses12345 ugh i don’t know what’s going on - had some brown spotting last night so was sure I’d wake up to AF and I kind of have but it’s weird, (TMI warning!) just some clots and then more spotting. Haven’t bothered doing a test as I’m sure I’m out but I don’t know if it’s a chemical or a hangover from last month just coming out now 😖

@BB78910 I’ve just got a regular cheapie digital one, which I use every morning as soon as I wake up. In general it should be about 36.4c before you ovulate and then jump higher and stay there for 3 days afterwards. So if your temp stays pretty constant until Saturday then you can be confident you’re still good 👍🏼

My OPKs are always basically always blank apart from one day and then it has to be immediate action stations as my temp usually goes up the next morning 😅

@PADonk honestly no idea… I never tested this early either so for me it’s been stark white then one day gets a bit darker…
never took my temp - is it just with a normal thermometer or special one you get with ovulation kits? What’s the process 😅

@BB78910 I’ve never done an opk that early but I would imagine your hormones are all over the place during your period - I’m sure I’ve read that LH outside of ovulation does all kinds of weird stuff. Do you normally have a gradual rise or quick? I’d start temping on a morning just to reassure yourself but I’m sure it’ll come back down again before you ovulate xxx

@PADonk i know the feeling - exactly how I felt this cycle just gone. Just get on with the AF now so you can have another go

so I’m hoping one of you can enlighten me… these LH tests are only ‘positive’ when the 1st line is as dark or darker than the 2nd… I get that. But you’re also supposed to be ovulating up to 36h from the beginning of the surge which is technically when they start darkening (I think). How is it that I’m on day 5 of AF so still bleeding a bit but my LH is this dark? (Attached a pic) - because by that theory I’d be ovulating just after AF? So what’s the EWCM later on? I’m actually panicking that if this is the surge for me now I’m completely missing it cos DP is away and won’t see him until Saturday

@BB78910 thanks - I’m going through tests like nobody’s business so something needs to happen soon! Tbh I’m kind of hoping for AF now, feel like the odds of any pregnancy sticking at this point would be super slim so would rather just have another fresh go.

That’s gone quick! Would have to be a super speedy egg to arrive that fast so hopefully just a rogue one-off - let us know how it progresses x

@Roses12345 @PADonk @Bl1991 sorry got swamped with work etc! Last day of AF for me today / tomorrow so back on it soon. Did an LH test last night just to see if maybe I O early and it was actually kinda dark 😅😅😅 DP is away with work and will be back Sat so really hope it’s gonna be ok this round

how is everyone? Just been catching up and @PADonk still keeping my fingers crossed

@Roses12345 thought I had a hint of a line this morning but pretty sure it’s an indent as the 2 other I then did (🙈) were white white white. AF still not shown and temps up though so 🤷🏼‍♀️. On my way to a team away day which will include some drinks and I got my last BRP after a work do maybe a bit of gin will do the trick 🤗

@PADonk feeling much better these last 2 days thank you, hoping I managed to keep the fever at bay! I need to step away from the BBT though as that’s sending me into a spin but tests definitely seem to be getting darker. I did a digital today and got 1-2 weeks so might do another next week just for confirmation it’s rising.

@Roses12345 I’m testing your theory in the name of science - still BFN at lunchtime, I’ll go again later! Feeling a bit crampy and ovary twinges but no sign of AF yet 🤷🏼‍♀️
