@wildhay and @MotherOfShihTzus how are your tests looking now?

CatCaretaker · 20/04/2024 07:24

Thanks so far everyone. I've just done another Boots strip test, and I think it's not looking good. Does that signal a chemical? 15dpo now.

I uploaded them to Premom as LH tests to get a score. Score's gone down this morning.

@CatCaretaker you're still early for the clear blue one, and even for a digital for that matter. You'll only get positives on very sensitive tests.
I think with my DD I took a digital at 14dpo and it just came back with a question mark which really worried me, took another around 17/18 dpo and it said pregnant then.

Confusedddddddd · 19/04/2024 13:29

@CatCaretaker that progression is looking great. How long have you been trying?

The clear blue ones with the cross aren't meant to be very sensitive so I wouldn't worry about that test

@Confusedddddddd thanks! The Clearblue freaked me. Trying a bit over a year, which felt like forever. I have this crazy belief that the multiple Boots ones are false positives somehow (theyre in date, no reason they should be faulty). I just haven't left myself believe that it's real.

I was hoping the Clearblue would reassure me, and they did the opposite!

@CatCaretaker that cb looks faulty id complain and get a refund for that
can you do a digi?

@MrBigsCat thanks. I've just taken the second text in the Clearblue box and followed the instructions even more closely, and that was faulty I guess too. No control line. Very annoying as they're expensive! My partner bought them, I hope he has the receipt!
As for the digital, yes I'll try.

Sorry guys, I'm a bit obsessed. I know now is not the best time of day to do another test, but I've just done a Boots test strip, and a Clearblue.

The Clearblue didn't work / was negative? There's a horizontal line in the test window, but nothing in the control window. Is that a failed test, or a bfn? Anyone seen this before? What's going on there (I followed the instructions, tip turned pink, waited 3 minutes, etc.).

It's probably a less sensitive test. The line is clear on other one.

Today's test, 13dpo. I don't think the line is any darker?

These are Boots test strips. I checked the reviews and there are a number of complaints about lack of dye in these, but they're all I have for now!

I definitely can see this better. Good line progression. Congrats.

MotherOfShihTzus · 18/04/2024 08:51

I'm gonna try and hold off til Saturday now @wildhay - then I think I'll know for sure whether it's a chemical, or slow growing 6 dayer! X

wildhay · 18/04/2024 08:45

MotherOfShihTzus · 18/04/2024 08:42

@greentree16 I see it!

@wildhay I see this too - really hoping for you!

@CatCaretaker it's looking good - definite colour - as wildcat says, compare every other day

Mine today FMU; think it's another IVF chemical 😢

I can see the line on the cheap, maybe we are both just testing much too early x

It's much clearer to check line progression every 2 days rather than every day, it still looks good to me! Compare yesterdays with tomorrows 😊

Oh really? I didn't know that! Can't get a blood test till Monday either. This will be the longest weekend in history.

@wildhay I think I can maybe see something in left hand picture. Fingers crossed tomorrow's are darker for you!

wildhay · 18/04/2024 07:05

7dp5dt frozen embryo I think that's 12dpo

Super squinters or wishful thinking?

@greentree16 I've had so many evaps on easy@home, some really dark too. And some that even showed progression but never showed until after the timeframe. In every case I wasn't pregnant, but that doesn't mean you aren't. There's a theory going round that evaps aren't a thing, it's just that they've had more time to develop so will pick up the tiniest bit of hcg and therefore they are very very very very early pregnancies that might end up chemical or turn into an actual pregnancy.

In summary, you just need to test again over the next few days.

greentree16 · 17/04/2024 20:34

Took an easy@home earlier on, thought I could see a teeny tiny shadow but probably just my line eyes. Couldn't help but pick it back up two hours later - this is just an evap isn't it?? 😬
Crazy what you can see if your mind wants something!!

@MrBigsCat another slightly lighter line. Took it earlier in the day compared to the others

MotherOfShihTzus · 17/04/2024 14:24

I'm 8 days past 5 day frozen embryo transfer, essentially 13dpo, but FETs are later to implant. DH struggles to see but any more experienced eyes here?!

Hi, this is my first potentially positive test ever... 12 dpo. Am I seeing things?

That’s how mine started off

blackberryhill · 17/04/2024 12:24

@CatCaretaker I definitely see what you're seeing!
