Sorry for my ignorance, but what is PCOS ?
Sound like good idea for you to start IVF - Keep thinking about this myself !!!
Did you see the thread we started for you ?? It's so odd with this, when someone doesn,t post for a while, it's like really missing a friend - Oh the joys of MN !

BeckiF · 29/12/2004 19:53

Hi Marinda - I have PCOS, am overweight blah, blah, blah .... hence the long cycles. Am on 3000mg of Metfromin a day and could of started IVF October 03 but took the choice to lose weight ... wish I hadn't bothered cos I'm about the same weight as I was a year ago. Anyway, if af doesn't turn up in the next few weeks I'm going to go anyway.

marinda · 29/12/2004 19:49

Hi everyone

Becki so lovely to have you back - missed you loads ! Would you mind me asking why your cycles are so long??

AF began for me on 27th - so CD3. Very down as felt SO pg this month and felt convinced has bd at right time - so on to another month (sad).

Hester, Jeddah please give me support - I feel like cracking up over this !!! I know, I know be pateient etc....

Congratulations to Morgan, Colinsmummy, and muppetmentality Lovely Christmas pressies!

Tania - good luck with IVF etc... What symptoms did you have before you knew about your tubes ??? I wonder if I have this too!

Sorry Hula and cockenzie about AF.
Jinlebells counting days for you before 13th Jan !! You must be getting impatient !!

Hope everyone enjoyed Christmas !

Hulababy · 29/12/2004 18:41

Hi; I'm not around quite so much at moment as been so busy - doing the visiting rounds of family/friends, etc. Off down to London for New Year tomorrow evening. Anyone up to much for New Year?

AF is no where near as bad as it had been, which is a blessing I guess. On to month 5...

BeckiF · 29/12/2004 18:10

Hi Jeddah - I'm back, but fragile ... I had a nice quiet Xmas with some lovely gifts.

Currently cd58 and apparently 6dpo, had a temp dip yesterday, probably more to follow. Those that have seen my chart say that it looks like more erratic temps but one person said that it looked like an implant dip.

jeddah · 29/12/2004 17:46

Especially Colins, cos I know you a little bit better ... my little monster just clicked something and all the little bars with the different windows and the site address have disappeared, argh I'm no good when that happens lol...

Tania2 · 29/12/2004 10:17

My mistake just recounted and iam on cd19 but it is still too early for af or my usual spotting and for that matter i havent spotted for the past 2 months.

Hulababy · 29/12/2004 09:58

about the gyne Tania. Hope it sorts itself out so you can get started.

Tania2 · 29/12/2004 09:53

Oh hula that sounds like a horrific ordeal for the daddy how do you ever get over something like that. too many what if's you would just do your head in.

Tania2 · 29/12/2004 09:51

its driving me crazy and my gyno is not back in the office till after the new year.
Tried to make my appointment with the councellor for ivf today but noone rang me back. if af starts now i will have to wait another month till i can start ivf.

Hulababy · 29/12/2004 09:50

Oh Tania - not heard the story of the baby. How terrible. I am finding allt hese stories so heart breaking. Headline I read was of a 6m month old baby being dragged out of the arms of her daddy - only to be found washed up, dead, hours later. I can't imagine the horror. I just shudder.

Hulababy · 29/12/2004 09:48

Hmm. Not sure. Could be just some heavier spotting? Or maybe the early bit of AF?

Tania2 · 29/12/2004 09:46

Hopefully hula you wont need to worry about investigations as you will be pg very soon iam sure.
TMI warning..... cause i was bleeding i used a tampon that was 2.5 hrs ago and just went to check and there was barely anything. really confused is it af or not?????? my tummy feels alittle like af??

Tania2 · 29/12/2004 09:36

cockenzie iam jeolous of the place your leaving sounds lovely.
New house new baby fingers crossed.
I know isnt it awlful about all those people being draged out to sea. Its on our tv all the time atm cause of so many australians missing. Hows about the 3 week old baby being found floating on a mattress. it all just pulls at your heart strings.

Hulababy · 29/12/2004 09:35

Tania - no idea. We never had any investigations/tests, Think we were trying to pretend it wasn't happening. Had planned to go and ask GP that summer when on holiday - but feel pg right at start if summer break.

I guess I have to just keep waiting for a few more months again to see what happens this time.

I know compared to others it doesn't seem that long, and certainly this 4 months isn't that long - just a bit worried it will take ages again.

Tania2 · 29/12/2004 09:32

Was there any reason why it took so long?

cockenzie · 29/12/2004 09:32

congrats morgan after all that time of ttc.u must be over the moon!!

i have now a good feeling.as i am bak on 28 days mayb it means my body is bak to normal and bak to ov.i am not buying persona from ebay as it ends up costing more than boots so ill go to boots and get it.so hopefully by my birthday ill be pg

A thought for all the families from Indonesia, Thailand and the countries that hav suffered the deadly wave.Hope everyone is ok?

jb - any news from ur hubby? not long lass to see him again.? oh u must be excited.
hope everyone will hav a lovely new year.i am getting ready for my move in my new house.getting excited.just the carpets to lay and we can move in.but i will miss the sea though, romantic sights and the noise of waves.

hope Hester and everyone is ok?

Hulababy · 29/12/2004 09:24

Thanks Tania. DD did take a while yes. It took us 15 months of TTC, then we had an early mc. It then took another 14-15 months once that had been sorted out. I am hoping it won't be such a long wait again.
