Well, I am finally off the progesterone pills (prescribed by Dr to induce long awaited period) and now just waiting for af so I can FINALLY start the clomid on day 2. Fell like I have been saying that for ages now but hopefully this can't fail now??!

Tania I think it takes a long time (years) for chlamydia to develop into problems like blocked tubes. It is usually symptomless. AFAIK smears won't pick it up, you have to get tested for it specifically. I don't know whether is 'disappers' from your system or whether it lurks indefintely. (Perhaps you could ask NHS Direct?)

Tania.......i am really keeping my fingers crossed that you get the happiness you deserve. it's an awkward position for me to be in......my pregnant friend said to me she felt so bad that i was having problems ttc and i thought 'yeah right, says you with your 7 month bump' but now its happened to me well, to be totally honest, i've had a few tears today because i'm so frustrated on your behalf. and i understand what my friend meant. i don't want to leave this thread because i want to be pregnant and growing fat with you guys on here. i feel like your my best mates and i'm scared to be out there doing this without you.

i should be bouncing around (and i AM happy) but i still can't help feeling like it's rubbing your noses in it if i grin all the time.

sorry i'm really tired and emotional today.....i'm going to go and eat chocolate.....

RD sorry about the bfn fingers crossed you have just tested too early.
jb will have to look up clamidya now. I just cant work out how it wouldnt be detected i have regular smears and was tested for all sorts of stuff when i found out i was pg with ds. Even gave dh the BIG "have you played up on me"

well having discussed it with dp this morning we are great believers in the benefits of wine and have agreed that one glass every now and then won't hurt baby. so i'll just have one glass and as i'm a tightwad no-one will bat an eyelid if i make it last all night.

it'll just be a change from my usual drunken self....

although just typing that and the thought of wine has made me feel queasy!! how will i cope if pregnancy makes me go off wine!!!!! as long as i can still stomach chocolate then everything will be fine.

Rudy - sorry about your BFN . It never seems to get easier does it? I feel like a fraud complaining about the ttc process when I already have two lovely kids but that doesn't seem to make the whole cycle of hope and disappointment any less tricky.
Anyway, I am also a big believer that things happen for a reason so I am sure that we will all succeed at some point....here's to a very Happy Christmas and a very fertile New Year!!!! . As you can see, I am in holiday mode already - last day in the office today until 4 Jan - that is, unless I have to come in after all.....

can i just say.....i'm obviously over the moon at the news i received this morning....but i sat for ages on here before i plucked up the courage to tell you guys.

knowing how much heartache i've had, with my nightmare irregular cycles and having no idea what was going on with my body, at one point i thought i would never get pregnant. now i've got my bfp it makes me realise even more how hard it must be to get that bfn month after month. i'm really sending good babymaking vibes out to you guys.

dp and i have decided not to tell anyone in RL yet. it is really early days and i still can't quite believe it. of course it won't be secret for long, most people will probably guess why i'm having a sober christmas!!!

i'm gonna stay on the ttc thread for now, don't feel ready to move on yet, and am gonna stay and throw babydust everywhere Tinkerbell style!!

CONGRATULATIONS! . Have just heard that my middle sister is expecting in August too so lots of happy news for Christmas. Just hope this is our month...and hope its a lucky month for everyone else ttc.

i did indeed!!! i couldn't resist weeing on a stick this morning, and after convincing myself i sooooooo wasn't pregnant i couldn't believe my eyes when i checked and saw a little cross where i expected a line.

had to get dp to check the result against the picture on the back of the box to be sure!!!
