Hate to say it but I think it hurts more cus we're older and more knackered than the young things! DS fell off the bed last week, saw something interesting on the floor and just carried on playing as if nothing had happened!

Evening everyone. How are you all? Seems quiet today - guess everyone must post more when at work!

Feeling sore today - fell over last night Slipped ont he limaniate floor and landed heavily on my side. No bruises but woke up sore and achy on my hip and upper arm. How come it hurts me so much yet 2yo DD falls over all the time and recovers within minutes????

DD is also poorly, which she so rarely is.She's red hot to touch and was a little sick last night. Has slept a lot today but calpol not cooling her dow. Has a nasty rattly cough too. Might take her to GPs if till poorly in the morning. Poor thing. She's just not herslef and so quiet - she is normally talking all day non stop.

Sorry for my gloomy late night post. In the cold light of day am feeling much more positive about things and really am just happy my friends are pg. No matter unlogical it is I seem to have a pavlovian response to hearing that someone is pg and to hear of 2 on the same night - well...

Anyway, I've had a really lovely day just hanging out with DH and DS - mooching around some shops, went to the park and had a lovely pub lunch. All very relaxing. Hope everyone else has been enjoying nice weekends too.

How was Harrogate Jeddah? I've only been a couple of times but seem to recall it was very nice and had lovely teas at Betty's. Did you get all your shopping done?

JB - you exhaust me just reading about all the stuff you've done to your house! Glad to hear you're going to have a good break from it all over Christmas. btw do you support Portsmouth?

Very interested in the adoption conversation. I have an enormous amount of respect for people who adopt - I think it is a wonderful thing to do. I know if you went down that route you may have some battles on your hands hester but you seem to me the sort of person that can do that if you believe in what you are battling for and I think you would be a wonderful parent. (and I'm sure your DP would be too but I have even less info to go on for that!!) It may be too much to even think about or not at all the right way to go about things but if it were to take a long time would it be possible to start the process alongside still trying for your own?

i've heerd the adoption process can take anywhere between 6months - 6yrs, alothough I dont' know how true that is. (wonders quietly.... does it matter what the personal circumstances are as long as the child will be looked after and loved etc...) I believe thou babies are hard to come by as it were but again I don't know how true that is. would you consider adopting from adroad if that was an option? (of course we all hope u'll get PG on ur own, but playing devils advocate here)

harrogate shopping - hmmm I never went there myself, althou I was parcial to york and the designer outlets all aroung it, is it cliffton moor as well? the one with the big cinema? - you can do all ur shopping in that lieelt retail park! is the opther one makartha glen? (ponders it... actually that could be the one down here) hmm, the white rose isn't too bad either for a change nr leeds.

Today, i've finished my stair case, (well it needs another coat so will do that tomorrow - yay that's done, i'm about to gloss the hallway upstairs - then yay that'a all done, then i'll put another quick coat of paint on the bathroom, (one tonight, and tomorrow - then yay thats all done) on tuesday i'll be doing down stairs hallway - then yay that's all done (gloss only there) and packing my bags to go home, weds it's off out with the girls in town - YAY! he he (can't drink too much thou as am up at 8.30 on thurs to take the dogs to the park then drive home) should be at pompey by about £.30 at the latest on thrus avo, and I can't wait! - no house work for 10 whole days!

JB thanks thats the dates that i thought iam currently on CD9 but really wondering if i should even bother working out dates and that since finding out about my tubes really seems like a waste of time (not the sex part of course)

SweetFudge, yes we'll be looking at adoption as our next option. tbh, if I'd known five years ago that it would end up like this I would have gone for adoption straight away. I have to admit that I am now so exhausted that the thought of going through a long drawn-out process to be approved for adoption makes me want to cry... but if that's what has to be done to become a mummy and have a family, I guess I'll find the strength from somewhere. Mind you, I'm horribly aware that we're not prime candidates for adoption - too old, no parenting experience, live in a flat with no garden.. . The only thing we have on our side is our ethnic mix, which is particularly sought after for children in London.

SF - is that naturally TTC or ivf ur going thru? (fingers crossed thou we'll all be PG by the summer)

Rudy - you're def not a bad person, ur only human. hopefully it won't be long for u either and then u cn all sit and chat/have ur morning sickness together! lol.

tania- my cycles have been 26 days since coming off the pill (apart from last month on the Angus Catcus) any how, I have concluded that I OV somewhen around CD 11-14, (I say that cos it seemed to vary slightly each month, but last month was the only time I had a def O with persona and a def smiley face with Clear Blue that was CD12/13. hope that helps. I did notice as well (first time eva on CD 12 I had a really bad cramp (but only when I sat down and ddidn't last long.) I put this down to my body doing it's thing as it were, and did the clear blue smiley when I got home, and it was smiling as well!

Hester, we'll be thinking of adoption as the next step if this doesn't work in the next six attempts. Would you have any similar plans with dp if you don't mind my asking or will it be too soon to think about something like that? Please tell me to p* off if it is too personal a question.

Well dh and i tried to get pissed last night but cause ds didnt go to be till 10pm (cause it was so hot and he slept on couch till nearly 7pm after the big day) we were so tired by then that after a wine or 2 we were strugling to stay awake. Sad cases we are BUT we all slept in till 9:30am and i had visiters coming around at 10am for morning tea and lunch. Had another prexmas lunch with 6 kids running around heck what a busy w/end i have had.
Question if my cycle last month was 26 days when would i be oving this month??? not that it really matters anyway not much chance of getting pg with blocked tubes hay.

just checking in on my way back from a party...had a lovely time but found out two of my friends are pg. One has PCOS and one has very bad endo and has had 2 mc and STILL I can't help feeling . Am I a bad person? I want them to be pg, it's just that I want to be pg too! God doesn't ttc make you selfish???
